“This is a great bar to hit after golfing at Hickam Par 3. The drinks are nice, cold and cheap. The service is great and the servers were super nice and welcoming. Small club house but offers plenty for before and after golf. You can’t beat AC and cold beer at 8$ for a large! They also give half pitchers!!”

“So happy we have a boba shop on base! Lava flow with boba is my go-to. I’m quite picky about my boba texture and cannot stand old, mushy boba and tea cafe always gets it right! They also offer punch cards which are great if you go regularly.”

“We were at the Cafe when it opened on a Sunday. All smiling faces (nice greeting) and great food! We had pancakes & sausage, English muffin, corned beef hash with eggs. Food was excellent! The coffee was some of the best we’ve had.”

“It may not seem like much at first glance, with a limited selection of drinks to choose from at this bar, but a few good pointers to note is the drinks range from about 4.50-5, and have a decent cost on pitchers too. There is a restaurant next door that serves wings, jerk chicken, and a few other things that you can buy that they can serve to you at the bar. The bar also has a decent amount of high table seating inside, and plenty of tables outside, with some being under the cover of the extension of the roof. The biggest takeaway is the fact that they have 4 pool tables, and you can rent a set of balls for free, on the condition that you have to turn in a form of ID, likely your CAC. When it's not busy and people aren't waiting to rent balls, you can play until close. Otherwise, you'll only be able to rent for 1 hour and wait for your turn. The atmosphere is generally nice, and the music ranges from Techno for one playlist, to multiple forms of Rock, to some popish music. Maybe you can request, but otherwise a DJ does come around once a weekend.”

“So I had the mushroom Swiss. The thing was ginormous. It was so much food, that I regret ordering the corn nuggets. The corn nuggets were delicious though, I always get corn nuggets if a place offers. I just ended up eating too much. The person's who run the place where very combined and considerate and helped me choose a decent meal after traveling for over 16 hours.”

“Been going here for 2 years now and it's great every time. This morning was the icing on the cake. Ordered 2 travelers to go, they were ready to go the moment I got there, and I was struggling to carry them so an employee helped me take them to the car. (Thanks mark) And the other employees left cute messages and smiley faces on the boxes. It's the little things that make it great.”

“This subway rocked. I got fresh bread luckily, and the rest was all staff. The girl changed her gloves while my food toasted and had to do other things!!! She was very clean about things, and I loved it. I don’t like when subway staff keeps gloves on the whole time but does other things but this girl knew what to do! The kitchen looks very clean as well. My sandwich was made PERFECTLY, just the best subway I’ve ever had. The staff was also friendly!! And somehow it got betted.. I got TWO white chip cookies with no nasty macadamia nuts!!! Fulfilled my pregnancy craving PERFECTLY!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I was visiting Honolulu from Wisconsin, and this food truck ended up being one of the best surprises of the whole trip. I’ll be honest the walk to it looks a little sketchy at first since you head down this small alley, but don’t let that fool you. Once you get back there, it’s a whole different story. The customer service was awesome super friendly, super welcoming. And the food? Straight-up 10/10. The loaded barbecue fries were insane, packed with flavor and totally worth every bite. The burgers were just as amazing, juicy and cooked perfectly. Everything we tried was out of this world. If you’re in Honolulu, don’t sleep on this place. I’d come back in a heartbeat.”

“We RAN to Waffle and Berry after the zoo. We showed up 15 minutes before closed and they were quick to calm us. As long as we ordered by 2 minutes before close, we would be served. And then they showed up with a snack plate for our toddler. He absolutely loved it!! We absolutely loved our dessert. Crispy, warm waffle. Sweet ice cream and berries. Unbelievably welcoming environment.”

“Lam’s Kitchen is the real deal in Honolulu’s Chinatown. Authentic Cantonese style “comfort” food! I was turned on to this restaurant after I saw it featured in a Foodie YouTube channel.\n\nMy wife and I stopped in for lunch midweek. It was full so we had to wait about 15 minutes. There’s a “sign-in” sheet located at the entrance. After we were seated we ordered one Dry Beef Chow Fun and one Beef Flank Tendon Look Fun. Of course we had to share and both “hit the spot!” Good old school taste we enjoyed both dishes.\n\nIt was definitely “hole in the wall” looking from the outside…but somewhat inviting on the inside. We initially walked right past it LOL. The interior was clean and service was good. Brought back memories of the good old Cantonese style restaurants from any of the mainland Chinatowns back in the day.”

We had a private luau for our school group, and they did a fantastic job of engaging the students (high school) while also sharing the culture of Hawai’i and other Polynesian Islands. Reno was also one of our tour guides for the rest of the week, and he was a blast. Everyone we met was gracious, kind, and friendly while also effortlessly meeting our every need.”
