“Let me start with just saying this is one of the only places I had to visit while on the island. Of course, like most people I myself had a checklist, and this was in the top two. There really is no other way to explain it other than being pure ono. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had good poke before, but these guys just hit different. Maybe it’s the aloha of the island or just the magic of being on a vacation they will not disappoint. Honestly don’t remember what kind I got, but let’s just say it wasn’t plated very long. Tasted like the first ten or so bites then basically inhaled it. As for the “ambiance” not much better can be had than sitting at an outdoor table with the ohana talking stories. With all that being said, yes, I can definitely 100% recommend these guys. Whatever you can do to find a way up there get it done. You will not be disappointed, and frankly the only disappointment you will feel is not getting enough. Mahalo cuz”

“Such a peaceful and inviting space to sit down and enjoy fresh food! This was recommended by our tour guide from Kualoa Ranch, and was one of my favorites from our trip to Honolulu! The food was delicious! We had the veggie panini with chicken, fresh lemonade and delicious iced tea! We highly recommend!”

“I found this place on my way to north shore. I loved their fresh squeezed juice, I tried pineapple lemon ginger and dragon fruit kane juice. ginger kane juice is the best. Strongly recommend pitstop. They have out door seating. Service was great.”

“This place hides in back of a parking lot surrounded by food trucks. The place itself is a shack, it is the Ford Fiesta of food trucks. Only one dish served, with five choices of topping: Bingsu with chocolate, mango, strawberry, pineapple, or melon.

A cup of frozen sweet cream that has been shaved to the fineness of powdered sugar with alternating layers of your topping, and a scoup of vanilla ice cream on top.

Light, delicious, and exceptionally refreshing in the hot humid afternoon. Wife and I shared one serving with pineapple and it was plenty.”

“Fresh, delicious, and kind! We went for an order of rice for our cranky toddler and ended up ordering a friend Onu. The food was fresh and good. The mac salad was perfect and the fish with its sauce was simply amazing. ”

“Cute, casual, open-air place with shaded seating. Friendly, easygoing atmosphere. Shave ice is a bowl of loosely flaked ice with sweet flavored syrup, eaten with a spoon and straw. Refreshing on a hot day. Our vegan family got "ice only" fruit flavors, hence vegan ($4 a bowl). I enjoyed my combo pineapple and li hing (salted dried plum) shave ice. Vegetarians and omnivores can gild the lily by adding (dairy) ice cream and topping ($7 a bowl I think). I was tempted to get some fresh tropical fruit, also for sale, but skipped it. We saw other folks getting cut coconuts and pineapples with straws to drink the juice. Mango and other local sliced fruit was also available. A half dozen souvenir shops are in the same little parking area. The most upscale was the sea glass art shop, with works by local artists. Other shops sell tshirts, swim wear, jewelry, etc. Updated from previous review on 2022-12-28”

“I had the pineapple and coconut shave ice. I recommend it. How come you ask? That’s a stupid question. Obviously because it’s delicious, that’s why. And the portions is big, the people are friendly, it’s a small business so you gotta show up for them, and bruh just go eat it already. Stop reading this.
