“I’ve been in Hawaii for a week. It’s by far the best place we’ve had. We’re staying in Waikiki and drove all the way back to the North Shore today to get it again it’s that good! And try the musubi it’s homemade”

“This place hides in back of a parking lot surrounded by food trucks. The place itself is a shack, it is the Ford Fiesta of food trucks. Only one dish served, with five choices of topping: Bingsu with chocolate, mango, strawberry, pineapple, or melon.

A cup of frozen sweet cream that has been shaved to the fineness of powdered sugar with alternating layers of your topping, and a scoup of vanilla ice cream on top.

Light, delicious, and exceptionally refreshing in the hot humid afternoon. Wife and I shared one serving with pineapple and it was plenty.”

It’s right by the highways so not perfect ambience but definitely doable. The food is great, not exactly like food in Thailand because of the difference in ingredients but very close. “Cute, casual, open-air place with shaded seating. Friendly, easygoing atmosphere. Shave ice is a bowl of loosely flaked ice with sweet flavored syrup, eaten with a spoon and straw. Refreshing on a hot day. Our vegan family got "ice only" fruit flavors, hence vegan ($4 a bowl). I enjoyed my combo pineapple and li hing (salted dried plum) shave ice. Vegetarians and omnivores can gild the lily by adding (dairy) ice cream and topping ($7 a bowl I think). I was tempted to get some fresh tropical fruit, also for sale, but skipped it. We saw other folks getting cut coconuts and pineapples with straws to drink the juice. Mango and other local sliced fruit was also available. A half dozen souvenir shops are in the same little parking area. The most upscale was the sea glass art shop, with works by local artists. Other shops sell tshirts, swim wear, jewelry, etc. Updated from previous review on 2022-12-28”

“Grateful for Sarah with a k best bartender so full of Hawaiian aloha I've been on the island for over 4 years Sunday October 26th what happened to be on the North Shore at Turtle Bay giving a friend on Island Tour we also got to enjoy the sunset amazing live music they were also having a contest for costume surfing I shared the video on YouTube I am never leaving the island when I take my last breath it will be on this soil I will definitely be visiting every time I am on the North Shore this has become my favorite spot favorite atmosphere and definitely my favorite bartender Mahalo till we meet again”

“Some of the best coffee we’ve tried so far on the north shore. The cold brew was great. No bitterness at all and very flavorful. The mac nut latte was perfectly done. They also have a coconut pineapple muffin that was delightful.”
