Sooooo good!!! We came to Kihei to help my dad who had a medical emergency & my sister-in-law & I ate here several times. Everything was perfection. My most favorite thing is the roasted brussel sprouts & I could eat them every single day!!!
Absolutely delicious. Bao buns were soft and the fillings were amazing. The taro chips are yummy and I was satisfied and full. Don't hesitate!
This was my first time in Maui, and after emphatically trying a few of the 'top rated' restaurants on the island, we were left feeling quite disappointed. After talking to a few locals, we decided to try some of the food trucks by our resort in Kihei....and dudes, Suns Out Buns Out is KILLING it!! They seriously have no business being this good!! Absolutely outstanding! Go and give them all your money, right now! You will NOT be disappointed!

Suns Out Buns Out offers delicious buns. The island piggy is a top choice, and the staff is friendly. The food truck is known for its creative Purple Bun and Banh Mi Style Pork. The bao buns are highly praised, with customers calling them the best they’ve ever had in the states, especially the Miso Trippy with mushroom and tofu. The bao trio, including Uncle Philly and Bao Chicka Bao Bao, also received great reviews for their tender chicken and flavorful taste. The restaurant has sporadic hours, so timing is crucial, but visitors often find it worth the wait for its fun, delicious flavors. This is the best food truck on the Island by far. Favorites include the Kalua Pork, Shrimp, and Buffalo Chicken. Hurricane tots are for the win, with a flavor combination that dances in your mouth. Tots are crunchy and soft in perfect proportion. Duck Bao bun and the honey garlic chicken bowl were also so good.
