And then the Haleakala filet mignon, once again perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned and topped with compound butter that was melted at table side with rosemary. (It feels like we are saying perfect too much! But we do mean it!) Then to end the evening celebration with our chocolate lava cake surrounded by white and milk chocolate fondue with banana bread and fresh fruits was simply scrumptious! “We are shave ice nerds and try shave ice whenever we are in Hawaii. This is in our top 3 across the islands. The mango syrup was incredible. Our coconut one needed a bit more and the gal mentioned even before we took it that we should come back for more syrup if it was dry. They were great. I like ice cream but it wasn't even needed because the ice was so smooth and the syrups so flavorful.“

They do not fall short on great tasting entrees either. The seafood lau lau is absolutely delicious. “Stopped here based on so many solid reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The service was very fast and friendly. The portions were very large. Reasonably priced. And the Kalua pork was delicious! It’s a very small place in the corner of a strip mall kind of hard to see but well worth locating!

I was surprised to see the food truck instead. The construction next to the truck was for future outdoor seating. This place is always busy, regardless of the time of day. I had the coconut ice cream that first day, and went back the next day for a scoop of coconut and chocolate chunk. They were both delicious.“
