“Waited in line about 20 minutes ona Friday at 1120. Was eating by 1150. Pancakes were huge. Almost as big as the plate and you get 2! I had chocolate chip ones and they were fabulous. Wait for a table with a view, it’s worth it. Kind of expensive, but not too bad for Maui. $18 for my 2 huge pancakes“

“Great Food, But Way Too Loud The food and service were both excellent — no complaints there. Unfortunately, the live band playing downstairs was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation and had to keep asking our server to repeat himself. Two nearby tables left because of the noise. If you're hoping for a peaceful early dinner, skip the 4:30 PM time during happy hour music. Great restaurant, but the volume ruined the vibe.“

“We stopped by here nearly every day of our vacation on Maui. The staff were exceptional, especially Max and Caitlyn. Both of them went above and beyond for us. The food was fantastic. The sliders appetizers, both beef and pulled pork, were delicious and more than enough for a meal. The wings were great. My favorite was the garlic parmesan fries. The drinks were just boozy enough, if a bit pricy, but what do you expect from a high end resort in Hawaii? Try the daily specials; they cost less and tasted great.“

“This place is very a very unique and interesting place!! We had breakfast and we’re served by a new server from Cali “ Mati” like us!! And she was not only a sweetheart but fast and one of the only servers doing circles in the whole restaurant and still making sure we we’re doing okay the whole time. The food was great. “Food was exceptional, possibly the best on the island. That being said the service was lacking for an Applebees let alone a restaurant in the Ritz Carlton. Server was nice and so were all those assisting but took a long time to get basic drinks like cranberry juice and went long periods of time without water refills. Possibly short staffed that night, but have nothing else to compare to but the one evening. Again the food was amazing.“

It is a resort restaurant, and worth every penny! Right off the beach of Black Rock Beach and easy to access.

“With the Marriott discount card (get it from the welcome center), the menu items will cost 10% less. It all adds up. On Taco Tuesday, the tacos are $15 instead of $19 (and 10% less with the card). We ate them last year and didn't think they were overly impressive but this year ... wow! What a difference! The fish was plentiful (as was the shrimp) and the tortilla chips were so much nicer than fries. Our guests raved about the Lobster Sensation Grilled Cheese as well as their hot dogs and chicken tenders. On 6 days of the week, there are additional menu options and are offered as "Beach Walk Nightly Events: 5-7 pm) and 4 of those events are going to be outside the Kau Kau and will border the walkway. Those special Kau Kau nights do not include Sunday and will feature one of these nightly: Teppanyaki, Tacos, BBQ, family pasta night, Hawaiian BBQ, and prime rib. Also try the Makai Tiki Bar. Do not overlook walking down to Whalers Village for the excellent options at the Food Court there.“

“The vegetable and tofu stir fry is excellent. The cauliflower had that wonderful, subtle charred flavor that comes from stir frying at high heat. The pizza from kid’s menu was pretty tasty as well. Overall they have decent vegetarian options. I’m pleasantly surprised how much better the food is here compared to the two neighboring Westins.“

“our dinner last evening was perfect. I had the seafood platter and my husband had a steak. Everything was done just right - beautiful presentation- peaceful, lovely setting. We had a delicious dessert - can't remember the name, but it was a chocolate/coffee ice cream pie 🤷❤️“

“We came here for tomohawk Tuesday and it was great! Highly recommend it was a coursed meal with shareable Caesar salad followed by the tomahawk(we got two orders of the dinner so each tomahawk was shared by three of us) and was served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The broccolini was also really yummy and was crispy with a little citrus on it (had to give a shout out!). And then ends with a shareable dessert of ice cream and waffle. We also got the calamari and potstickers to start that were also yummy. Great service and easy to get to!“

“Excellent attentive kind service we were all so impressed by this little treasure in the neighbourhood! Couldn't have been better service! Food was very good. I was sad the prime rib and kalbi ribs were sold out at 7 pm. But did enjoy the garlic shrimp with Mac salad and white rice. My friends were also fans of the grilled mahi sandwich and tempura mahi sandwich. We will def be back!“
