“In Pearl City... where else can you find five -star dining? Where else can you find a menu that is unpredictable, but in a delightful way? Where else can you find such youthful intensity and exuberance among the "staff"? Try The Pearl.

Parking: Several minutes walk from parking to the restaurant entrance.“

“Decided to try here for lunch...try something different, plus I was hungry after grocery shopping. HI Steaks is located inside the Pearl City Foodland, so I found it to be very convenient. The kitchen can easily be seen from the counter and the kitchen looked organized and clean. I ended up ordering a Kalua Pork & Steak plate ($18.99) and substituted the rice for greens (+$1.99), also ordered a build your own bowl ($16.00), with Garlic Chicken. I was a bit bummed that they charged extra for substituting the rice with greens, but oh well. My order came quickly, only waited for a couple of minutes, and then I found an open table at the dining area adjacent to HI Steaks. The portion size of the plate & bowl was reasonable for the price. Steak was good, tender and cooked perfectly for me. Garlic chicken was seasoned well, not too overpowering. The sides were all good too. Overall I really enjoyed the food and would definitely come here again!“

“We love our date nights at Senia. The food is outstanding. Such creative flavor combinations by Chef Rush. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is not too loud and not too quiet, and the booth seating is very intimate. Well deserving of all their awards.“

“We celebrated a big anniversary at Pai and WOW - they made it extra special. We did the four course menu with wine pairings. The service was top notch. The food was inspired, creative, delicious, and locally sourced. Though the portions of each dish looked small, it was more than enough food and so delicious you wanted to eat every bite! The wine pairings were spot on, absolutely perfect with our chosen courses. The space has such a lovely vibe - clean and modern, but comfortable and well appointed. There really isn't another dining experience quite like this on the island. Justine and Kevin have created such a beautiful place with incredible food and service. Pai is definitely a must-try restaurant. We will definitely be back.“

“I stopped in at Yard House and ordered the small chicken salad along with a side of sweet potato fries. The “small” salad was actually quite generous in size — fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful enough to feel like a full meal on its own. It had a good balance of ingredients, with the chicken cooked just right and served in a way that felt both hearty and light.

The sweet potato fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and they came with a maple syrup dip. That was a first for me, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise — the sweetness of the syrup paired nicely with the savory fries and gave them a unique flavor profile compared to the usual ketchup or aioli.

Service was another highlight. The staff was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and seemed genuinely welcoming, which made the overall experience more enjoyable.

The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable enough for conversation, with the upbeat energy you’d expect from Yard House. It feels like a great spot whether you’re there for a casual bite, watching a game, or meeting with friends.

Overall Impression:
Good food, unique touches like the maple syrup dip, and excellent service make Yard House a solid choice. I’d definitely come back to try more menu items.“

“Amazing , delicious, out of this world“

“My wife and I were invited by friends to a special fundraiser dinner at Bar Maze, and we really enjoyed the evening. The ambiance was warm and stylish, and the service throughout the night was genuinely thoughtful.

The menu offered a lot of food, with each dish bringing something fun to the table. The snacks were a great start—the smoked salmon dip disappeared quickly, the anago with smoked egg yolk was rich and addictive, and the chicken skin with chimichurri had that “I could snack on these all night” energy. The choke garlic balls with caviar and ranch were a surprising combo that worked far better than expected.

The ahi course was bright and refreshing, and the scallop with “Hawaii XO” and puffed rice was both comforting and elegant. The cheeseburger course was just pure fun, and Ethel’s grill taco rice had a nostalgic, homey vibe. “Textures of a crack seed shop” was playful and full of little surprises, and the chestnut tiramisu was a cozy, satisfying finish.

The spirit behind the event made the night even more meaningful, and we were grateful to be part of it. Bar Maze is easy to recommend, and we look forward to visiting again.“

“Absolutely our best meal in Hawaii. The right choice to celebrate a special occasion. Our experience was so wonderful, food, wine, atmosphere all made for the best evening. Our server, Julian was absolutely top notch, extremely friendly, attentive, and was just so happy to engage ensuring the celebration was more than we expected. Kudos he deserves it. “Went here for a second time for a bday celebration party of 9 on a Saturday. Always loved the atmosphere qnd and look of the place. The food was great and tasty as i remembered, however looks like they may have been short staffed and food took a while to get to us as well as refills for water. It's understandable but the staff did a really really great job accommodating our party for the inconvenience and apologetic for the wait time. I would definately return for more. I had the boar bolognase, was super super good to me to where it was perfect amount of pasta and meat (not just all pasta). I would get that item again. Mahalo for accommodating us and working your best to serve your customers despite your shortage.“

“My Friend and I ordered corn beef hash. DA Bes in town. Friend wanted his eggs soft scrambled. Our waitress, Rhea, knew exactly how it's made as many establishments overcook them. She said she would inform the cook. They were served exactly as my friend, Bob, wanted. Great service even with a full house. We will become regulars for sure!!!!!“

“I'd never been to this establishment before and was surprised at how great it was! There's a nice variety of dishes to choose from on their manu, the service is attentive & friendly, their prices are reasonable, and there's ample free parking. If you go for dinner the sunset views are spectacular! On certain evenings they have local musical groups entertaining diners as well (it can get loud, so request outside dining if you prefer a quieter setting), and membership isn't required for dining. I highly recommend enjoying a lunch or dinner here!“

Should’ve visit tropics more often when I was stationed back there but overall it was a great experience and took advantage what tropics had to offer. “We were actually impressed for a museum restaurant. Prices were about what you'd pay at a regular fast casual restaurant and the flavour was pretty good. My main complaint is the food wasn't very hot at all (actually the pork was basically cold), but it was tastier than I expected for museum food. If you're at Pearl Harbor for a day, this is a pretty reasonable lunch stop.

Service was also pretty friendly and the atmosphere was nice since it wasn't too crowded.“
