“Your typical plate lunch establishment, lots of different options to choose from.
I like to grab platters and pans of different dishes from them. Larger portions at more reasonable prices compared to other restaurants nearby.“

“We’ve been taking out from Islander Drive Inn for many years. Its not a fancy place, just a simple, hometown spot, but i gave them 5 stars for 5 reasons.#1 Consistency - What i ate many years ago tastes the same every time we went including today. Im not left scratching my head figuring they changed cooks again. If they did, I didn’t notice. What makes me so sure? I eat the SAME THING every time.#2 Accuracy- They have never messed up my order. Nothing different, nothing missing, I get what I ordered. Utensils too.#3 Hot Food- I paid higher prices at places 5 minutes away from my house that left me feeling cold. Literally. Not here though.#3 Communication- They answer the phone quickly, I understand what they are saying and they understand me. Pleasant.#4 Convenience- Fast Service. Good location. Good parking. I always need medication picked up at Longs so picking up a meal at the same time makes it easy.#5 Local Business- Always support local. My personal favorite is always the Honey Garlic Chicken plate with all white rice. Nice,Sweet Honey sauce with perfect amount of garlic, not overpowering and Crispy juicy Chicken. Very flavorful. Good portions. My husband enjoys the homemade hamburger steak with onions and requested gravy all over everything. Fries are crinkle cut. They are decent. Good selection of other different plate lunches as well with pictures. If you haven’t been, we recommend this humble spot in Wahiawa.“
“A hidden gem! Super friendly people, great food with large portions! We are here on vacation from Alabama and this ranks as one of our favorite finds on the island!“

“Great food and friendly service. Don't let the location or the outside appearance scare you off, this is an excellent place for a quick and cheap meal. We fed an adult and 2 kids for breakfast for $14 total. Can't beat that anywhere in Hawaii. We'll be back.“

“Great food but I guess there's a rice shortage. Before it was more rice then meat now it's wheres the rice. Prices really have gone up and so has the food. Quality food is there at a price one of the oldest restaurant chains on the island still has some of the greatest island cuisine
Parking: Parking is a little tight especially for longer vehicles like full sized trucks
Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu and also they offer the standard crayons and paper
Wheelchair accessibility: 2 designated parking's a little tricky but it's something“

“They have a lot of interesting Foods. I tried several and took them home and most everything was good but some things I had no idea what they were. But my son was with me and four of his children are Japanese American and they know what they are and so does he he spent probably 10 years in Japan. So it was a great experience. And I would highly recommend.“
“Going to a luau at Toa is like being invited to a family event. The performances and food were great and the performers come and talk with you during the luau. It’s a really intimate experience-not like the big productions where you are herded in and out. As an added bonus, your ticket to the luau also gets you admission to the botanical gardens in Waimea Valley. It’s a beautiful walk up to the waterfall.“

“Great local place! You know it's gonna be good when it's mostly locals there that the owners know.
Our favorite dish from there were the peanut butter buns. This cannot be missed! If you like peanut butter - please don't leave workout trying it from here. Gooey delicious and divine.
The garlic shrimp were yummy. Loco moco was above average. Kalbi beef was great.“

“We had stumbled on Camille's Restaurant and we fell in love with the food and the owners. Recently our Mom passed away and immediately Camille's came to mind for the catering because their food feeds the soul...they cook from the heart and it translates into the flavors of the food. Everyone loved everything ...we had the Lau laus, kalua pig, BBQ chicken, and the smoked meat...everything was cooked and packed with so much love and care it was touching and it overwhelmed our hearts!!! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!“
“This is the perfect hidden food place that locals go to. Good food, good prices and the service is practically non existent. Meaning, it's 99% take out. There is a small table outside but that's why it's cool. No nonsense food at a good price. I highly recommend the Bento #1, the Katsu and the fried chicken.
Parking: The parking is hard to find but if you wait for a few minutes someone will leave.“

“One of the best Manapua place in Aiea. Had to preorder a day prior to get the big Chicken Katsu Musubi 😂 just to prove my family and friends it’s worth the wait. After a day of wait I got it and showed it to my fams and friends and they were like ima preorder right now 😂. The other food selection is great and the workers inside were friendly and thankful everytime I come in to buy their food 🤙. Either this spot or the Manapua place in Waimalu shopping center there my favorite Manapua place in the Aiea side. Keep it up“

“Excellent oxtail soup, great portions, but a bit pricey. They give lots of cilantro and ginger for the soup making it that much better. Yummm!
Parking: Fair sized lot but with all the different shops, it can get very busy and finding parking can be a challenge.“

“This is a charming location in converted old gas station. We each had a 24 oz smoothie (coconut, mango, and a couple of mixed combinations) to start while waiting for our food outside on a picnic bench. The food was one of the best we’ve had on the islands: Kahlua pork, Kalbi ribs, Teriyaki chicken, Furikake Ahi, squid luau, fresh caught fish, fish tacos, macaroni salad, tossed salad and coconut cake with pineapple for dessert. Highly recommended!“
“Hands down best food we had on Oahu. Fresh, beautiful, balanced flavors and unique menu options. We’ll be back for sure!“
“I went to get an ice cream the other day. Service was great and prompt. I got one scoop of mint ice cream and it was a pretty big scoop which was surprising in a good way. The only thing that I didn’t really like was the fact that I couldn’t see what the flavors were any where and I had to ask. It would be nice to be able to see the flavors without asking. It was also kind of inconvenient to get to because of construction but that isn’t the snack bars fault. Other than that no complaints and would definitely recommend!“

“Stopped by Aloha Shrimp and it did not disappoint! The lady working there was so sweet, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried the spicy garlic shrimp, and it was incredible. The next day, we checked out Giovanni's Shrimp Truck because of all the hype, but honestly, Aloha Shrimp was way better!“

“Usually stay away from Zippys as prices have gone up and portions have gone down but finally decided to go down here on Wednesday night as late night choices are very limited here? and this was 830pm at night....
Had to use my $5 coupon so decided on a Zip Pac Deluxe for $18....but came out a little over $15 when using the coupon so wasnt bad. Had a couple eating their food in the dine in area self serve and other than that it was just me waiting for food. Only took 5 minutes for my food so that was a positive. Food was the typical zippys... Though the chicken got smaller and the teri beef looked rather slim and tiny too. Im glad the Las Vegas Zippys is doing well since I feel post covid that this local food chain is failing.... 4 stars.“

“Great drinks & excellent food. Menu so good makes it hard to choose. I had the best Ahi seared on the grill, super good. I really liked A& G and will definitely return before I leave Oahu.
Parking: Ahi and steak plate was perfect size and takes care of the craving for both. Very good Mac too.“

“Stumbled upon the food trucks when we were in the area. Decided to try this one out, which turned out to be good. The special was a steak dish and also had the pork/chicken combo.
Everything was pretty good, however the menu song doesn’t let you know everything you are getting. I didn’t know the chicken was with noodles, the special didn’t specify the sides, etc.
In any event, enjoyed it all (even though the Mac salad is like 45% mayo)
Would definitely get the kalua pork and absolutely would get the steak special again. It was my favourite.“

“I was over-charged by at least $10, but by not contesting cost until three weeks later, manager(?) denied bilking me. Went to eat with friend, and was too busy to think about questioning cost. Manager tabulated items separately, unseen; however, three weeks later, cost was rung up and available to be reviewed. Both times, no tabulation of items bought presented, just the charge. Yeah, my bad.“

“Went there the first time for breakfast.
The Manapuas were delicious, the prices were super affordable. They also have the bento boxes set under $8. I can’t find those anywhere else.
And Uncle Steve is the nicest, kindest man. He was so sweet and welcome. I went back there again for the 2nd time I visited Hawaii, and they've never failed.
Shout out to Unko Steave, can't wait to see him again next time I'm in Hawaii.

“Absolutely phenomenal! We went tonight and truly felt like part of the family even with 500 people there. Everyone was so sweet and inviting. The dancing was just spectacular, I loved seeing all the different types being incorporated and the history they added was a chefs kiss. I would come back again in a heartbeat!“
