My wife got the banana French toast and that was actually pretty good. The other food options I saw on other people's table looked like it had potential as well.“

“We went here for some coffees. I thought they had latte, but I should’ve looked at the menu more closely so I got a brew coffee with almond milk and a Seagrass Shot. My husband ordered an Iced Mocha and we ordered an Aloha Smoothie for my son. Although I was disappointed, not to have a latte, the brew coffee with almond milk was still very good. My husband said the mocha was good but a little bit small for the price. The smoothie was very tasty however again for the price it seemed a little excessive for the size that we received. I realize they’re using wholesome ingredients and getting fruits and vegetables on the island may be more expensive than the mainland so trying to keep that in mind.“

“We love Drive Thru Joe. The only legit amenity on this base provides us a piece of happiness. Customer service is top and the drinks are fun, refreshing and creative. This is on our top 5 list of things we will miss when leaving the island!!!“

Great location, parking, outdoor seating (kid and dog friendly), and a solid, healthy menu. I had the vegetarian burrito with tofu, and scarfed it down before remembering to take a picture. “Personally I think the coffee here is a little overpriced, I’ve been to other coffee shops that have similar drinks for a smaller price tag. I paid more than $6 for a small ‘Audrey hepburn’ iced coffee with no upgrades just got the normal milk. I got the coffee half sweet and it was still too sweet for my liking (but that is just personal preference). I assume the high price tag for the coffee has to be because of high rent prices ??‍♀️ My husband got a double shot coffee and we also got one cold caramel apple pastry since all of the other pastries were sold out. Should have asked the price of the pastry because it had to be at least $5/$6 because our total was just under $16. The caramel apple pastry was cold and too sweet for both me and my husband. While the workers were nice, I’m not sure we’d return due to the lack of parking available. You have to find street parking since it is located in a residential area and there is no dedicated parking lot for the coffee shop. If you’re lucky there’s maybe two spots right in front of the coffee shop on the curb but after that there’s a “no parking anytime” sign.

Parking: Difficult to find parking since there is no dedicated lot. It seems a lot of residents have their cars parked on the side street as well so you have to walk a decent amount to get back to the coffee shop.“

“I only found out about Wai Kai a month ago after a friend bought a condo nearby. Since that time, my family and I have been back numerous times to eat at all of their restaurants and attend their Farmer's market. All of the food is outstanding which is why we even went back twice in one day to eat at 2 of their restaurants. They have amazing staff from their manager, Keith, their cooks, and their waiters and waitresses. This place is a hidden gem because it's a family friendly place that has the atmosphere of Waikiki without the crime or crowds. Both kids and adults can come and have a great time whether it's doing a water sport, eating in one of their excellent restaurants, or relaxing on their lawn during the Farmer's market where they have a wide variety of food and local products to choose from.“

Supervisor Alondra suggested I go to a Saimen place, La Tour & another place. I walked over and into La tour. The menu looked great! I saw a roast beef dip sandwich I may have chosen but when I saw a "Falafel" sandwich I was very intrigued as I never saw this on any menu at a casual restaurant in Waikiki area. OMG...that sandwich was 😍 unexpectedly⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressive! 😋😋 It had noodle shaped crisp (white color) pieces of pickled turnip ( I think that's what it tasted like- please confirm or correct me?) and same shaped carrots, a perfect amount of tasty-sweet & slighty spicy sauce on a outer layer of thin crisp (perhaps it was slightly toasted?) but soft inside, square edged sub roll? I still have a little over 1/2 left! Love Falafels but am used used to the normal style of it served with a cool creamy sauce (maybe cucumber) in a toasted Pita bread. This seemed like an Asian style spin off! If they deliver in Waiks, I will likely order it again as it's Too far/expensive via car to travel there. The cold brew coffee was good also and I tried "Oat creamer" for the 1st time and liked it! Thank you ladies for the very friendly service 😊 ( I was a host at CF for almost 9yrs,😉 and also trained many hosts.) and it was my first time ever "Eating in Public" (as it also wasn't a planned adventure) and taking off my mask. People were over 10 ft away and 12 feet away from my table. more people did line up for take out as I stayed for at least an hour until almost 4pm-ish.“
