“I can confidently say Spoon & Key Market has officially made it into my Top 3 favorite restaurants in Maui, and I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until now! I went this past Friday night with some friends, and from the moment we walked in, I was hooked. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfectly lit, no noise, no rush, just a beautiful setting to truly enjoy food and conversation.

Every single dish we tried felt like it was straight out of a Food Channel feature. I’m usually not a fan of chicken, yet here I found myself wanting plate after plate, we actually re-ordered it right after finishing the first serving because it was that impressive. The octopus was another standout favorite, and honestly, saying I didn’t like something would be a total lie because everything was flawless.

The cocktails were just as memorable, fresh, balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients. You can truly taste the cucumber, herbs, and even the fresh lavender they use (yes, actual sprigs of lavender!). And let’s not forget dessert, absolutely divine.

What blew me away was realizing they’ve been open for two years, two years I’ve been missing out on this gem! The moment I tasted the first dish, I was already texting my husband saying, “how do we not know this place?” I can’t wait to go back with him so he can experience it too.

Five stars don’t even come close, if I could leave 100, I would. Whether you’re local to Maui or visiting, do yourself the best favor and come eat at Spoon & Key Market. We went for dinner, but I hear they also serve breakfast, and lunch, and I can’t wait to try them all.“

“The owner was very friendly. Steve made sure that we felt at home. He is very personable. Steve took our order then joined us on the other side of the counter to chat with us about our time in Hawaii. He even gave us other recommendations for food. Drinks were also very good. I got the Rose Green tea and so far, it's the best I've had! If I had more time here, I would definitely come back. Steve said he is opening a location in Cerritos, CA called Cali Tea this summer. He opens the time I visit family, so I will definitely be paying him a visit!“

“I know what you might be thinking when you see this place. Should I really bother trying to get genuine BBQ in Maui? Will this really stack up to a Carolina, Memphis, KC or Texas joint? Surprisingly, yes.

These folks know what they're doing, are super friendly, and their BBQ is legit. They're using local wood in their offsets too, so it is a unique experience compared to other places.

Can't go wrong with their ribs and I loved every side I tried, with the Mac n Cheese being a standout.“

“My husband, daughter and I visited Sweet Hula in mid-June 2025 and had the best açaí bowls in Hawaii! We were in Maui for three days during the last leg of our trip and ate here every morning. During our vacation we visited three islands (Oahu, Island of Hawaii and Maui) and had Açaí bowls almost every morning. Sweet Hula ended up being our absolute favorite of the five different places we tried. The folks who helped us each day were the BEST. They always greeted us with a smile and were so sweet and kind. They accommodated any topping change requests that we needed and the bowls always came out quickly. The large size bowls were perfect for keeping us fueled up for a day full of hiking and swimming. The açaí base was perfectly frozen and the toppings were super fresh and generously portioned. We also had some of their delicious, fresh banana bread that was perfect to snack on throughout the day. We’ve been back home in NC for two weeks now and we still talk about the Sweet Hula bowls and how much we miss them. Please go visit the folks at Sweet Hula and let us live vicariously through you!! Kihei Fish House by Maui Grill is a highly recommended spot! Their coconut shrimp are delicious, and the grilled mahi-mahi with special sauce is so yummy. Every plate comes with tasty rice, sweet potato salad, and green salad. All the meals are consistently good! While the waiting time can be a bit long, the shaded outdoor seating with 6 long tables makes it comfortable. Definitely check this place out for fantastic seafood.“

Since it’s Blake’s bday weekend they got ice cream for breakfast! He got birthday cake with cookies and cream and Hailey got birthday cake with bubble gum 🤪🎂🎉. We couldn’t get enough so I ordered a Chick Pea “tuna” Salad Wrap and Kyle got two giant ice cream cookie sandwiches to go! I think we found our new Sunday morning spot!!“

“Upon arriving to the Fairmont Kea Lani after a long 9 hour flight, we were able to get a quick pizza that we brought up to our room to eat. Stopped in to get ice cream one night. I got the banana bread sundae and my fiancé got the chocolate Oreo shake. Both delicious. The store also had coffee, teas, and typical gift shop items. Everything of course is super expensive but what else would you expect. Overall recommend.“

“Tried Aloha Thai Fusion, and their Pad See Ew was hands down the best I had on the island even better than Thai Me Up. Great flavor, texture, and perfectly cooked noodles.

As for the Drunken Noodles, I’d still give the edge to Thai Me Up they do those a bit better in my opinion. But if Pad See Ew is your go-to, this is the spot.

“Our server, Isaiah, was most helpful with the menu choices. We had the roasted beet salad and the Steak and Frites. We asked for the steak to be cooked medium plus, but it came out less than medium and had to be sent back to be cooked further. Other than that, it was a delicious meal in a great location.“
