“Almost Famous in Newbo has never disappointed, but my experience today far exceeded anything I could have imagined! I went in with a very specific need--9 bags of the Crunch Berry popcorn mix. I'm attending a conference next week and need to bring a snack that represents where I live. Almost Famous is my go-to and popcorn is much easier to travel with than a case of Busch Light and Casey's pizza! There were no mini bags and no Crunch Berry on hand. The sweet gal working the counter helped me brainstorm alternatives, then suggested I talk to the owner who happened to be there. He said he has some at their production facility a few minutes away if I had time to follow him over there. He took time out of his weekend to help me out AND sent me with a few extra bags for my kids! I'm so thankful for the awesome small businesses and business owners in this community! “Nelson's catered our wedding last weekend and it was PHENOMENAL.
The food was absolutely incredible. My husband and I really wanted barbecue, and our guests RAVED about it. They said it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and many the best barbecue that they had ever had.
The staff members running the buffet were amazing, and incredibly helpful - one even checked my teeth and hair before we went out for our grand entrance.
We were aware that there was an issue with a previous wedding a few weeks before ours, and reached out to Nelson's with that concern. They responded immediately and assuaged all of our worries. We communicated to confirm details of the meal which put us at ease, and they even offered to set up our buffet line the night before our wedding to assure us that they would be there and ready on the wedding day.
All in all, Nelson's was truly a wonderful choice for us for our wedding, and I would encourage anyone wanting great food and personable service to book them!!“
