“I love Dairy Queen. Growing up in Iowa it was always a summertime treat, but now that I've moved to California they are hard to come by. Now whenever I return to Iowa I can't pass by a DQ without stopping in. This past summer, as we were taking the slow road from Iowa City up to Shueyville, we spotted this place. It's located in odd little strip mall that's constructed to look more like apartments than businesses. We walked past the dog that was enjoying the remains of a shake on the sidewalk as a little girl wept nearby and entered the establishment. This DQ had everything you'd expect and want - Blizzards, Dilly Bars, banana splits, dipped cones, Peanut Buster Parfaits, etc. They also had a hot food menu with the typical stuff as well - burgers, chili dogs, chicken strips, fries, lumpia... I'm sorry, what was that last item? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the Dairy Queen in the Beaver Kreek Center in North Liberty, Iowa serves lumpia. How could we not try it? With a name like "Yolly's world famous homemade lumpia", you'd be nuts to pass it up, especially at $2.75 for 3. It's too bad we had literally just finished a pretty sizable lunch otherwise we might have gotten more than just one order. There are chicken, pork, vegetable, and cream cheese lumpia available. We ordered the pork. Folks, this stuff is legit. They were fried up fresh and came out piping hot. Wonderfully crisp skin, generous in size - we absolutely loved them. We took one back to my mom and mentioned Yolly's name - it turns out they know each other from the distant past when they used to attend the same picnics. Definitely worth the trip. Oh, and the ice cream is really good too.“
“I stopped at the 811 S 1st Ave, Iowa City location. The ice cream was excellent and the young lady that served me was very courteous & friendly. This lady needs a pat on the back (and bonus) from the boss. She was busy cleaning the windows, tending to the machines. sweeping the floors (3/1/24), when not helping customers. I topped it with strawberry slices, strawberry popping pearls, and yogurt chips.There are about 10 yogurt flavors, but maybe 50 different toppings, so it's highly customizable.The store is local and eco conscious, the staff are friendly, and there are options for those with dietary restrictions such as dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan.Price is by weight, so be careful how you fill your dish. “Frozen yogurt is healthier than ice cream, but tastes the exact same! It's also very delicious! You can choose from lots of flavors of ice cream and you can choose from a wide variety of toppings. The service is also fast and easy. I'd recommend trying Aspen Leaf's Frozen Yogurt soon!“

“For fast food, this place is exceptional. Good is great for price, people are nice, rarely a line or wait, fabulous pup cups. This is literally the only restaurant with a window I will patronize. My only complaint is I sometimes get sweet tea when I order unsweetened tea.“
“Our car club stops here some Friday nights to top off our night. We usually show up with around 50 people. They're pretty quick and considerate with the exception of a server named Paul who was using inappropriate language around customers.“
“We love coming to this place for incredible ice cream. The servings are bountiful and the quality of ice cream is fantastic. It's a really fun place to bring kids and the old building is clean and fun to sit in. This is a great business and a perfect location in North Liberty.
