“This Starbucks is definitely #1 in the DSM/WDM metro. Emma is EMMAzing. Alyssa is a fantastic manager. Margo is MAR-GOATED. Lydia is really awesome. Grace is GRACEFUL in her work. Brooklyn (Brookie) is awesome sauce. I've come to the night crew twice, but those two nailed it as well.

Entire place is always clean.

“My 9 year old son and I visited the week after Christmas. We are from out of town and looking for unique experiences in Des Moines and this fit the bill. The baristas were so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy. The cats were obviously the highlight for us. We enjoyed our hour watching them play, skitter around and interact with eachother. Core memories made for sure.“

“I'm extremely picky about boba so it can be hard to find boba places that I like, and I thought I had found my favorite boba place... and then I tried Zenko and now other boba will never beat it lol. I'm a very routine-order person so I've only ever tried the black sugar milk tea with boba here, but I lowkey just never bothered trying any of their other drinks simply because this one is so good. Most of my friends who do like several of their drinks also tend to gravitate towards the black sugar milk tea as well, though, so I feel validated in always ordering the same drink over and over :) It's also so cozy and fun inside all the shops--I've been to three of the locations and they all have the same relaxing vibe, lots of plants and soft music.“

“One of my favorite local coffee shops for sure. Great spot and coffee. The quality of drink seems heavily dependent on barista though. I get coffee here all the time and when made right, hands down one of the best. Just ordered a $7 latte from here today and it tastes like watered down milk. I feel like when I ask for half caffeine, some baristas just put half regular shot and no decaf shot, hence watery, bahhhh. Not always the case but can be a bummer when spending $7.“

“Great coffee! We hit the drive through and it was maybe a minute from the time we ordered to the time our drinks were in our hands. Both were prepared perfectly and at enjoyable temperatures. A lot of places don’t listen when asked to make a latte drinkable temperature instead of scalding hot. Whoever made ours this morning did great!

“Visited this Caribou on Sunday May 1st. We like the coffee here. Ordered a large Northern Latte with almond milk and sugar free caramel. Waited for 20 minutes to be handed an iced Latte and a little longer to be handed a medium instead of a large and couldn't wait any longer so we drove away with a wrong size coffee.“

“This location rocks. If you’re looking for a place to study or get work done, this Caribou Coffee has a spacious dine-in area with many tables and chairs and even a conference room. Oftentimes at coffee shops, it seems that the sit down area has been downsized in order to promote drive-through ordering. Not the case with the Ingersoll location, perhaps harkening back to a more communal time. It is interesting that in the age of increased remote work, the number of work spaces within coffee shops (especially those of large chains) has decreased, but I digress… You can tell this Caribou predates the company’s consignment to the maw of private equity, since the interior incorporates rustic design elements like exposed wooden beams and stone-look floor tiles rather than the cheap vinyl flooring businesses opt for nowadays. Unlike the pale imitations we are presented with today, this location embodies precisely the winter-lodge character the name 'Caribou Coffee' evokes.“

“A nice little bar. Great conversations. Friendly bartenders but they'll kick you out if you're trouble. Loud music on the Touchtunes / jukebox. 5 overhead flat-screen TVs. No food served but chips are available for purchase. Might even see an occasional Amishman come in and sell naked goods.. Pool table for those so inclined. Nice little place. Come on down to sit at the bar and read a book.“

Sometimes there can be a huge rush of people and they turn up the efficiency so words get concise, but they get the orders out as quickly as they can and that's all that really matters to me. My friends and are are usually catching up on our lives as we wait. Highly recommend if you're looking for a healthy spot to socialize, do some work or study for a class. I love this place as it was born as an extension of the top Natural Health clinic in the Des Moines area. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area. For all the haters on here... they probably needed more kava in them... it's from an herb that has helped many people calm their anxiety. Just ask the oceanic islanders who drink it before any type of mediation.“
