“I go to this location every once in a while when I’m down in Pleasant Hill, and they always do a great job and have great customer service. Today I got a pistachio white mocha to try, and my dog promptly threw up on the lid, and they were so kind about it when I came back to order another and made a replacement!“

“Pretty good. I love caribou coffee, but the last time the coffee was just OK. Coffee shop coffee needs to be amazing. I'll come back sometime and update to five stars if it's better. This is a great atmosphere for a coffee shop though. It's a great place to meet up with people.“

“i’ve been to this specific McDonald several times the staff is nice and helpful and the restrooms are clean.. The food is good and the weight time is one of the only issues.. And that it is pretty much always busy..so if you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy your coffee in the morning this is probably not the McDonald you want to go to.. I'd give it a solid 7/10..??“

“Great local shop, perfect for meetings or working in a unique space with both chair and table and floor seating. Spiced coffee is a fun option, and their more standard coffee choices are delicious too. They carry pastries from Cha Cha’s. Great addition to the southwest Des Moines area!“

“This place is so good!! Has many unique and delicious drink options. I got the Mexican chai latte with a shot of espresso and it was so good! Definitely coming back for matcha and other specialties. Parking is a little tricky, but does have free street parking. Also limited seating. Looks like a bright enjoyable environment to work in if your lucky enough to get a seat. All seating was full at 9 am on a Saturday when I arrived, so plan accordingly.“

“Trendy, shiek, appealing place with locally sorced rotating menu. Very popular, so reservations are highly recommended. The charm of the setting and presentation are on point. Menu has many desirable options, and all are good. However, due to overload, the food was good, not great. Eggs were slightly overcooked, and soggy potatoes were quite acceptable but a bit disappointing. Given a chance, I'd definitely give them another shot. Maybe on a weeknight next time.“

“The donuts are SOOO good. I love mine cream filled. She filled them, there, on the spot! Bear claw was awesome! And she was Hilarious! And fun to be around. I will most definitely be going back, for sure!! Oh, and I got 5 donuts and a milk for like $10!!! The prices are fantastic!“

“After moving from Oregon we were looking for a great coffee shop. So glad we found this place. My wife and I love this place! So happy to find great coffee and the best vegan pastries!!! “I love Daisy Chain in DSM! The Miel and the Pistachio latte are wonderful. The coffee is one of my favorites in the US. Very kind staff with quick intentional chats and the line is fast paced if there is one. The wax mini sculptures are very fun and unique. A must go to when in DSM! It's located in a great area to walk with friends aswell and stop in local shops.“

“My cappuccino and breakfast sandwich were excellent! Beyond that, I was very impressed by the customer service here; I sat inside for about an hour, just reading a book, and I saw that every incoming customer was greeted and welcomed into the shop like it was their home. What a fantastic contribution to the local community.“

“Had a wonderful lunch today for three. We sat at the bar and had absolutely wonderful drinks, food, and service. Darius was efficient, so friendly and funny, and made delicious margaritas! The other staff seemed wonderful, too. Tacos and burritos bowl were very yummy. It was my first visit and the other two’s second visit here and it has been across the board awesome both times! “I like the cold brew, cappuccino was good, love the ambience, not a fan of scones, lacking flavor and overly dry for me, tried the croissant, it was overdone super hot fresh from microwave, not my ideal. But I will keep returning when in town for the good coffee, and nice ambience.“

“Good people!!! I was with friends.....bikes loaded.....route picked.......me......not one, but both of my tires.....FLAT!!! We barged in. They stopped, mid-bike build and got me back in the saddle in the time it took me to drink a beer in their incredibly cool space!! Will return again & again!!“

The sale of trading cards and other merchandise was really interesting and was what brought me there in the first place as I'm a collector myself. I definitely plan to visit again.“

One of the best spaces in Des Moines for relaxation, connecting with friends, a peaceful environment, and an affective work space to get studying and work done.The drinks are delicious as well! “The place was buzzing and I was lucky to find an open table. The tables are inches apart from another so you can't be the claustrophobic type. I had just spent 30 minutes photographing outdoor sculptures at the DM Art Center and was chilled to the bone. Placed my order at the counter. Sat at my little round table waiting for my order about ten minutes. The sandwich and drink were brought to my table and both were fantastic! I didn't know an egg sandwich could taste so heavenly. The hot chocolate was served in a tall clear glass mug with a handle and topped with lot of whip cream. The temperature was perfect. Walked in frozen and moody, left feeling fully thawed, refreshed and pampered. I can recommend going here.“

“First time visiting Smokey Row since all my coworkers rave over it. Coffee was delicious and came out the perfect temperature. Chocolate Muffin was not what I was expecting but it was SO GOOD. Environment is very chill and the staff was very friendly!“

“One of the best selections of chocolates available anywhere. They're pricey but offer a wide selection of milk and dark chocolates. I've ordered a box of chocolates here and had them shipped out of state at a very competitive price. During hot weather, they package the box with ice packs.“

“I've been coming here for the loose leaf tea since I first learned they carried a tea I liked; it's a great selection at a good price. I've looked online (out of curiosity) and I couldn't find a better price on the tea I drink, and I'd rather support a great local spot. Friendly service and great pricing for the tea connoisseur. They can also prepare the drink for you, but that's not my thing. Overall, I would recommend this place over any other.“

I tend to order sugar free and dairy free drinks, and the baristas are so friendly and make sure I get exactly what I want! “Came in here this morning to grab coffee and a small breakfast for my family. I ordered the large iced pistachio rose latte and it was superb. The pistachio/rose flavor makes it the perfect combo of creamy and delightful. My husband had a large iced pumpkin spice latte which was exactly that deliciously pumpkin and spice. The staff was very friendly and I believe one of the owners was there and she was very nice smiling at me snapping pictures of her beautiful business. My husband and I shared the mexi bowl which I unfortunately didn't get a picture of because my kid was into it picking out the beans and we devoured it up right away too. It had egg, salsa, cheese, black beans, bell peppers and avocado slices. The mexi bowl was the perfect balance of all the good things we love. They have quite the variety of dishes for everyone. We are gluten free so the young lady who helped us recommended it for us and it definitely hit the spot. Highly recommend for everyone to try!“

“I’ve had this place on my list for a while and I was very pleased after finally going. It had many small nooks to sit in besides conventional seating. Which is great if you want a little more privacy or you were reading a book. I was also very surprised at how good the food was as it is a bakery I didn’t expect their meal options to be as good as they were. Overall great choice for a lower cost lunch spot.“

“Never had scooters until it came to our location. This is now my favorite coffee place. Every morning they greet you with a smile and love chatting with you and sharing about their day. They are absolutely amazing team that definitely shows in there work. So happy I have made the switch from Starbucks to Scooters. My favorite is iced Mocha due to the high chocolate .“

“I have been wanting to try this place since my son moved to Des Moines. Great place! I had the homemade granola with chia seed yogurt. My son had the spinach florentine with poached eggs and hollandaise. My husband had the breakfast tacos and we were all VERY happy with our choices. Will be stopping in again on our next visit!“

They carry great coffee and know how to make it taste awesome. - Their espresso machine isn't the most awesome thing in the world, but it still makes a good shot. The pour over service can't be beat. “What a pleasant little place to find below a hotel! This will remain one of the stops whenever we are downtown. Can't say anything about the food (but I figured based on what we saw that it will likely be good as well) - as we only had beer and wine at night and coffee in the morning.“

“Food was so good. Bacon egg and cheese sandwich with a pink drink and mocha cold foam cream on top powered me up for super long. Service and atmosphere were 4 because. The drive through line kinda made it hard to park and the service took a few minutes then normal. But overall 9/10“

“love the atmosphere and service BUT I used to get the yogurt Parfe w granola,blueberries, strawberries at least 3 times a week for breakfast or lunch and they changed the recipe and are using strawberry sugary thick compote instead of just yummy strawberries . now I won't get it. wish they would bring back original recipe.. the chocolate mint pie is the best, love the chicken pot pie, smoothies, chocolate malts.“

“I stopped by on my lunch break and ordered through the drive-thru. I ordered a grande iced sugar cookie latte with whole milk and two breakfast sandwiches. The line had about 4 cars in front of me and I knew they would be pretty busy since it was the first day of their holiday drinks being released. I got to the window, paid and they handed me my sandwiches and my drink which looked a little different but it was the right size and I was in a hurry. I left and realized it was someone else’s drink and normally I would’ve just said it’s fine but it was an iced coffee with 2% milk so I knew I wouldn’t be able to drink it. I turned around and went inside this time and explained to the man at the counter, Brad, that I was given the wrong drink. He was super polite and asked me what drink I was supposed to get instead and made it for me right then and there while offering to upgrade me to a venti but I declined since I was content with a grande. He was professional and quick to remake my drink and apologized for the mistake. Great customer service. I understand that this time of year is crazy for baristas and especially being the first day that the holiday drinks were released so I completely understand the mixup but overall the customer service was great and the drink was delicious!“

“Have been to Scooters off and on since moving to ankeny 4 years ago and have never once had a bad experience. The staff has always been very kind and helpful with my questions. The coffee actually tastes like coffee no matter what flavors you get though if you are used to Starbucks you may not like this. I can drive up and as long as I know what I want I can be out of there within a minute or 2 of pulling up usually. They always seem to have something that I can get to satiate whatever random craving I seem to have whenever it comes to drinks.Highly recommended. Though I do wish there was more cinnamon drinks year round“

“What a beautiful candy shop; it was like stepping back in time. You will find a large assortment of different chocolates and bon bons. We did buy several small boxes that will be gifts for friends in Japan. The customer service was excellent, and very helpful. To my surprise they had windmill cookies. Part of my heritage is Dutch and I have been familiar and fond of them from a young age. On your way out a cup of gelato is a must, the chocolate was divine.“

“The one in Ankeny has a decent menu and a little more variety than other Smokey Rows. It is cleaner and staff friendly enough. The restaurant has a lot of different spaces. You can hang out and play games while drinking your latte. Good place to bring your laptop etc.“

“I usually avoid Starbucks in the Hy-Vee finding them inferior to Starbucks, locations and other places, however, due to geographics in time restraints, here I am.Being greeted with a smile, makes a huge difference, and my latte was right there for the first time in a Hy-Vee's, not noticeably different than a regular Starbucks. Then I walk over and get eight dollars for two eggs over easy bacon in an English muffin. It's like I eat for half price! Clean fast delicious great attitude that'll get you five stars every time“
