“I went here for the first time because I was given a coupon from my realtor (Brett Fine - best realtor ever) and little did I know it would quickly become my favorite local restaurant. “I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! It appears they have their do no recommend set so that your post cannot publish. Called this morning to let the staff know we were going with a group of 12 and they said that would not be a problem. In an hour our group received water and a drink order placed but never got it. The same server continued to wait on other tables, make drinks for other tables and made no effort or hurry to make ours or come back to take our order. In addition, the bartender continued to walk around and socialize rather than makes drinks. We even wrote down our whole order and patiently waited for her to come back to make it easy for her. This is the second that we have attempted to come to your establishment with the same results.“

“They've really tried to change in the last 5 years or so. They offer daily special meals like steak night (mondays) and taco night (tuesdays). The steaks are legit some of the best I've ever had. Served with very well seasoned grilled onions and mushrooms.

“The owner is an absolute saint, he is so nice and a great human being! However, the bartender Megan Hampton is honestly the worst human being I’ve ever met in my life. She was rude to me the second I walked into the bar, then she screamed at me, I went to another bar, and the bartender said Megan did the exact same thing to her and her boyfriend. She openly talks about using cocaine and other inappropriate talk around the bar. She is single-handedly ruining the reputation and good name of Poncho. If you don’t believe me, sit at the bar when Megan is working and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about.“

“We frequent here a lot because of the diverse menu which has something to please everyone and the food is almost always perfect. However, we have come to understand that this location is lacking a permanent manager and it shows. This trip, the greeter was rather short when seating is and I noticed he had the same demeanor when waiting on tables (we had a different server whom was good). Food was good but the bathroom needed a little attention as the trash was overflowing. The previous time we ate here the server was running her but off trying to take care of everything and doing a great job. She was the one who informed us of the management situation and she apologized. I hope they can resolve the issue to bring some order to the restaurant.“

“I’ve been a Star Bar patron for over a decade.

From a location for seemingly every group happy hour, political get to know ya, or just because social time, it’s been here. It’s not the destination for nearly as many group events, but it still rocks for a laid back, casual evening with friends. The bathrooms are clean, the taps rotate with the season, and the food is consistently good.

The only 2 downsides I’ve found are:
- they used to host far more small musical acts. that’s gone by the way side. I’m unsure if whoever booked/managed lost interest or small bands don’t want to play here, but I came more often when that occurred.
- FREE THE GOAT CHEESE. The blackened chicken Philly and goat cheese with roasted peppers and garlic appetizer have left the menu. Those 2 dishes were simple, yet superbly done. Idk who decided they were too basic for the new age, but they are incorrect. (Hint: ask if the kitchen will make you the Philly. If certain folks are on, they might indulge your desire for the smoky, cheesy goodness between that hoagie roll).“

She had an AMAZING attitude, was very attentive to our table, never did a drink go low and she just had the best vibe I’ve ever experienced while eating out. She even offered a drink to go, just going above and beyond with her service. If you go here make sure to ask for Dey, she’ll make your experience worth while!!“

“I ordered A cup of soup and a side salad. I was told that the soup was a brothy soup and wouldn't have any type of thickener in it. Since I'm gluten free, that's what I needed. Unfortunately, when the cup of soup came it was not brothy. It was a thick soup. One of the people that I was with ordered some type of salmon I believe it was, it was so spicy she couldn't eat it. I didn't think the food was anything fantastic. The service was good in the atmosphere was good.“

“Heather was our server/waitress and she was outstanding. We had a group of about 50 people with about 15 different tabs to organize, and she was so efficient. I have never had such fast service at a sit down restaurant when visiting with a large group. This was a with basketball team and their families. The team all played games after eating, and it was a fun atmosphere. The food was amazing and at our table everyone raved about the boneless wings“
