I called ahead and asked if we could bring in a cake, etc... they were MORE than accommodating. They said whatever we needed! They kept it a secret until we finished our dinner. Brought out the cake, lit the candles, provided extra plates, a knife to cut it and were SO kind. Thank you guys all SO much! My daughter was thrilled (and embarrassed). Excellent dinner too!“

“Had it on our list for Ankeny Chinese restaurants and so glad we tried it. Small place, 3 big tables. Very attentive staff. Recommended good combos. Fair priced food. Can’t beat 4 crab rangoons for $2.50! The packaging is super cute and high quality. They cooked the food after we ordered it so we waited maybe 5-10 minutes but it was piping hot when they delivered it to our table. Will 100% be back again. So glad we found this Ankeny gem!“

“It's always fresh. Everywhere else I could get chinese food from, the vegetables are always a bit wimpy and taste like they've just been steamed. Sam's veggies actually have some char on them!“

The patio is a great setting and one of few restaurants in DSM that can offer this setting My only suggestion is to make sure the patio is regularly hosed down and absent of bird droppings. “Ordered for delivery and the app was easy to use and quoted an hour for delivery. Before I could finish vacuuming and she was knocking on my door. This lady was so sweet!!! Now the food was... It was amazing! I ordered Mongolian beef and chicken with veggies. The egg rolls were perfect, light crispy and full of goodness. Both entrees were fantastic. My host was attentive and quick.
The soup was delicious and had a tasty broth, vegetables and a good amount of wonton! Not just dough, thick and meaty wonton!
