“I enjoyed my Hot and Sour Soup and Hunan Beef today at China Dragon. Lately, I have been stuck in a rut eating the same takeout Asian food all of the time. I forgot how much I enjoyed having a meal at a good Asian restaurant. China Dragon is a wonderful place to remember how good that can be.“

“It's always fresh. Everywhere else I could get chinese food from, the vegetables are always a bit wimpy and taste like they've just been steamed. Sam's veggies actually have some char on them!“

The patio is a great setting and one of few restaurants in DSM that can offer this setting My only suggestion is to make sure the patio is regularly hosed down and absent of bird droppings. Great restaurant and would like to see more customers to keep this restauant strong“

“Good food, always fresh in my experiences with eating here. Doesn't cost a lot, and if you go away hungry from their buffet, it's your own fault. Would recommend to anyone. Also I've never been grossed out by the bathroom. That's a big bonus for me. After using the restroom I like coming out feeling relieved and clean not ready to shower as soon as I get home...cause eewwwww.... So thank you for keeping up on your restroom as well as the face appearance of your restaurant.“

“Great place to eat, these guys are coming out with a new line in their products. Boba tea and and some new lemon tea drinks try it, its pretty great. Not to mention their shrimp puffs are great. Mongolian is great try asking for a little spicy it adds a whole new level“

“They have great food. Ive eaten around and its mostly all good, but ive been wanting garlic chicken like it used to be... CHUNKS not slabd. Its made IMO using dark meat as well whereas the other is just slabs of dry, overcooked breastfeeding meat...

“We stopped in here for some grub before a long drive back to eastern Iowa. If you’re not eating here, you should be. Every single dish we ordered came out piping hot and fresh. All the flavors were on point and nothing was lacking. It so quiet in the dining area, a welcome relief after being in a loud amusement park for two days. This is the best Chinese food I have had in almost 8yrs. Have been looking for a decent place since leaving Illinois and I finally found it…2 1/2 hrs from home :( well worth it and will become our go to place when we are in this area from now on.“

“Ordered lunch online and picked up in ~15 minutes. Food was warm and serving sizes are generous. Lunch special comes with your entree of choice, fried rice, a crab rangoon, and egg roll. Unfortunately, the egg roll was cooked well on the outside but undercooked on the inside and was also very oily.“

My host was attentive and quick.
The soup was delicious and had a tasty broth, vegetables and a good amount of wonton! Not just dough, thick and meaty wonton!

“I don’t remember my severs name but she was so considerate and made me feel so comfortable. Having ARFID feels quite embarrassing to share with waitresses, so I’m very glad she was so understanding. However. My food was made to be mixed with several other items that I did not include in my bowl. I really appreciated how the spatulas would be wiped off before handling separate bowls. If this isn’t standard practice in hu hot then I think it really should be!“

“Cool Basil has been a long time favorite of my wife and I. We hadn’t been there in a while when we stopped in for lunch today. The atmosphere was noticeably different. They were playing a funky smooth jazz music where every song sounded the same. I liked the previous light/classic rock mix much better. The staff seems to have completely changed since we were last in. We didn’t recognize anyone, whereas we were on a first name basis with much of the previous staff. The service was noticeably slower and less friendly. The food was still very good. I ordered my usual spice level 2 and it was very, very hot. Much hotter than it used to be. I’m just wondering if they are under new ownership or management because it is a very different experience from a year ago. I still recommend Cool Basil, it’s just not the familiar place that we loved anymore.“

“delicious! got takeout and it was 30 bucks for both of us to get a full meal plus 2 orders of crab rangoons. crab rangoons are fantastic, filling is delicious, could have been a bit more crunchy but i’m not complaining. it was 3 dollars for 4 which is insanely low. chicken lo mein is super flavorful, the chicken is delicious and tender, the orange chicken is as expected, nothing special but very yummy. portions are massive, we didn’t even get through half of it. it came with soup, we got egg drop which was super yummy. the staff were very kind as well. will definitely be back!“
