“Went with my niece before an appointment. Showed up a little before 9 and Zuella was the cashier. She was very personable and polite. She had a warm feeling about her. We dined in and my niece and I both got the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Both sandwiches were fresh and Zuella came out and checked on us. She was very hospitable. Restaurant was clean. What I did appreciate was there was a table of staff all sitting together eating behind us. Whether it was them on break or about to start/ended shift, it was nice to see they were given that time and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Great experience.“

“Atmosphere today got a low score because of the massive Construction almost around the building it was a it confusing but the burgers are still great and and the fries are kickin!?

Parking: As of right now there's not much parking there at all because of all the construction but if you look to the east a little bit there is more than plenty“

“I recently ordered 2 large (catering size) orders of nuggets for our son’s graduation party from this store. They are one of his favorites! The nuggets were delivered on time to our home by an employee of the store at no charge. They were fresh and hot upon arrival! It didn’t take long for them to disappear 😋 I was able to do everything through the app—very easy! I ordered from this restaurant in particular because their minimum order amount was lower. The manager confirmed my order via email and even followed up with me after. I could not have been more happy with the whole experience! I highly recommend this store for your CFA catering needs.“

“They did an amazing job on the ice cream cake. Staff were all super nice and the atmosphere was amazing while I was in store. They have a dq closer to me but I'm glad I decided to go out of my way to this store instead. Really appreciate everything and maybe ill get another cake for my family Xmas. “Back in the early 2000s I worked for Taco John's corporate for a few years. When I moved to an area where they don't have these, I always make a point to stop and eat at one if I am traveling. Back then we were meticulous. I know that they have changed almost all of the top people now, and that this location is a franchise and not owned by the company, but I was disappointed by a couple of very noticable changes. No salsa bar? No super hot sauce, roasted red chipotle, Pico de Gallo, just packets of hot sauce? No olives on the super potato? No bringing my food to my table? As for this location I stopped for lunch off the highway today. I'll say that the potatoes seemed over-seasoned, and the meat and potato burrito had an awful lot of lettuce on it. None of this is too bad. Service was fast and friendly. Bathroom was immaculate. Lady at the register tried to upsell me twice, and when I didn't want a beverage she offered me a free water cup. Doing everything the way we use to. Taco John's has always been more expensive, but you get what you pay for. This one is pretty good, but I wish they had that super hot sauce.“

“The burgers there are always delicious and I do like the fact they allow you to freely customize your toppings the way you want, which for me works, also love the fact of the amount of fries, we ordered one large fries and that was enough for the myself and the two others that were with me. Out of curiosity, I ordered the bacon milkshake and it tasted great, so I recommend giving it a try at least once.“

“I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years and I love this place so much. The owners are so wonderful and always remember me when I come in. This place is a true gem. Food is always fresh and piping hot. I will always come here over any other place. I do wish they still did the buffet. I loved the mango chicken they used to have and I wish they would make it as an entree on their menu.
I got the sesame beef adding a little spice, spicy chicken fried rice, pork egg roll, spring rolls and fried dumplings. AMAZING as always!“

“I was pressed for time and needed to order pizza for a work luncheon with 10 people. After looking at local options, I decided to give Blaze Pizza a try. I placed an online order around 10:09 AM for 8 specialty pizzas. I arrived at the location around 10:45 AM, and a staff member came out to ask if I was waiting for an online order. I confirmed, and he promptly brought all the pizzas out to me. He was courteous and professional, which I really appreciated.

The pizzas were a huge hit! Everyone loved the variety of toppings and sauces, and the crust was absolutely fantastic. I’ll definitely be returning for more work lunches and will also be bringing my family next time. Thanks so much for the great service and delicious food!“

“I just had one of the best fast food experiences ever, and it was entirely thanks to the incredible team working the drive-thru this morning. From the moment we pulled up to the speaker to the moment we drove off with our food, Victor and his coworker (whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch) had us laughing, smiling, and genuinely enjoying ourselves.

Their energy was amazing, funny, upbeat, and so naturally warm. They told jokes, kept the conversation light, and turned what is usually a quick, forgettable stop into something that truly set the tone for our whole day. It’s rare to see that level of customer service and hospitality anywhere, let alone at a fast food restaurant, and these two absolutely went above and beyond.

Victor and his teammate deserve a raise or some form of recognition for the way they brighten customers’ days. People like them are the reason customers return, not just for the food, but for the experience.

“Just wanted to give a shout-out to Arby's in West Des Moines. I'm not always in the mood for Arby's, but I sometimes get in the mood for their roast beef with horseradish sauce and their delicious curly fries (which I've bought at the store for my air fryer). They also have an impressive Greek Gyro, so I have to recommend this place. Customer service was great. The food tastes great and unique in comparison to most fast food joints. The store is clean. I recommend Arby's for a quick, delicious meal.

Vegetarian options: This would not be my first choice for vegetarians.

“Best TJ’s in town! All of the locations are great, but this is my favorite one. Always hot, fresh food. The staff is kind and friendly. Great, fast drive thru. These folks work very hard and it is appreciated from this East Sider.

“Service was great, food was good, and store was acceptably clean.
I visited on a weekday afternoon, the place was steady but not busy, about half-full with a few orders in line. I was greeted and placed my order right away. I, of course, got an ice-cold frosty mug and poured a root beer out of the tap. The staff were friendly and prompt, and my food was ready within five minutes. Staff brought the food directly to my table. The double papa burger was hot, and tasted good, the fries were fresh.
Staff were actively cleaning the restaurant between taking orders as they walked in. Gnats and fruit flies unfortunately seemed to be attracted to the root beer tap. Wall was lightly decorated with Americana kitsch and a big mural of a 50s sports convertible while 30s and 40s jazz and big band tunes played softly from the speakers.
I was initially thought the price was maybe a couple dollars too high, but after enjoying the food and especially the root beer, felt the price was worth it. I rang the bell nice and loud on my way out to show my appreciation to the staff for this more-than-satisfactory lunch visit. Great work from the whole team!“

“I was so happy to come here again. Our initial order was missing a few items, so we decided to call to see what could be done. Seeing that we had already been home by that point, Aaron was able to accommodate us over the phone. He understood how frustrating it could be when this happens, on both ends. Ultimately, the next time we were there, he made sure we were in good spirits before leaving. Upon his leave, I believe Tanya and Mina helped us just as much. If I have the names wrong, I apologize. The floors near some tables near the walls weren’t much better.Fortunately, the sandwich I got - the Turkey Bacon Ranch - tasted good. The pickle spear was pretty crisp and not dripping with brine (I’m thankful for that).Overall, this Firehouse Subs did a good job on food but I hope they can improve their cleanliness.“
