The food is standard for Taco John's. Some items on the menu are trash but I still eat it. Other items are really good.

I feel the pricing however is way higher than it should be.

I recently also had them cater a Saturday lunch at work for us and they knocked it out of the park! Eddie is a phenomenal asset to this restaurant. Always friendly and helpful. “Whatever cheese they use is absolutely amazing. That's one of the key factors to making a great tacowhether it's chicken, beef, or steak. Also, the tortillas they sell are amazing and go fantastic with their signature salsa, but that's the tacos, as for the burritos, I was not that big of a fan(i have not tried the nacho or enchiladas). The great thing about this place is that a lot of the food is really easy to grab, go, and eat, and it is indeed tasty. This is a weird situation where the burritos are cheaper and actually less filling than the tacos. I was not a fan of the sour cream coming in packets, instead of them being able to put it on the tacos themselves or just give me a side of what would seem like fresh sour cream. The service isn't bad, but it's not over the top, great either. The food does come out fairly fast, and they keep things simple, so you don't have too much to complain about. I really like the taco shop because it's not too pricey, it's simple (so good for children), and as it says in the name, it's tasty!

“The food at Monterrey tastes good, and the service is certainly decent enough. The restaurant, like many chain Mexican restaurants, goes a bit over the top with 'decorations' that are just a little too stereotyped.

I got the chicken fajita this evening, and while good, the amount of chicken in the mix was a bit low. I understand that it's the most expensive part of the meal, but there are several other Mexican places in town that have fajitas for the same price, or even cheaper, and that regularly give notably more chicken than they did.

Overall, while tasty, I felt the food was a bit expensive given how little meat was actually in the fajita mix.“

“I came by yesterday on lunch break from a local training. I had intended on eating there but as it got closer to my hour being up, I knew I’d need to take it with me. There was only one person working and there were a handful of tables so I understood. They quickly boxed it up. I did have chips and salsa while I waited and it was really good! The salsa was super fresh! I ordered the Elote and two of the chorizo street tacos. They were both phenomenal. They even came with two small cups of the sauce for the tacos. One was a verde and the other was a smokey, much spicier sauce but they both were super good! I will definitely be going back and bringing my kiddos as they love Mexican food as much as I do!“

“In our group, people varied on their opinions of the food from good to excellent. Chips were tasty. Salsa was good. Queso was good but not special. I considered the shredded chicken in the tacos to be very good. One person was into the chili relleno but not the beef enchilada. Pollo loco was the most enjoyed meal of the group. Portions are large. The service was on top of it.“

“I really like the food here, There is a variety of choices to pick from tacos, burritos, quesedias, tortas, lots of drink choices, I'm really impressed, with how fast they have my order ready..The prices are reasonable. The location is convenient, for the Lutheran Hospital Staff and patrons. it's easy to get in and out and there is ample parking, The people who run the " Taco Truck * are very nice.“

“Now I'm hesitant about sharing my experience about this taco truck...as much as I want them to be successful, I don't want to increase the wait time for my food. Haha! Seriously though, this truck is AWESOME. Not flashy, not gimmicky, just damn good. 10 tacos and a burrito runs you between $30‐$40 and they aren't like some other places that inflate the price to deliver something that tastes like it was microwaved.

There were corn and flour tortillas, rices, enchiladas, tamales, flautas, taquitos, chicken, beef, pork, and veggie options as well as a bar full of sauces and toppings for the tortillas Wed and thurs are 2.99 margaritas all day. Resonably priced for lunch and dinner. Kid friendly dessert and and they are cut in small pieces so you can sample a lot but there’s also fresh fruit. Will be back“
