“The food is always healthy and absolutely delicious! It's safe to say that the paella is honestly the best kept secret in the Des Moines metro area! The best I've ever had without traveling abroad! If you haven't been to Flavory yet, you must plan your next outing ASAP!! Service is always friendly and atmosphere brings a welcomed diversity to the current restaurants in The District.“

“The staff were friendly and very attentive even though we were there for happy hour. The Margaretas were amazing, the tacos were the best I have had, and the chips were fresh and hot. And I loved the hot salsa. I will definitely be back and will tell everyone about them.“

“The wait staff is great. They are very knowledgeable about the dishes and make good recommendations.Kid-friendliness: Our daughter has been going there since it opened and she gets a plain burger and fries. She is very picky but likes going here.“

“It was a beautiful Tuesday evening and we wanted to go for a short drive. After looking at a few options, we saw the pictures of Johnny and Mike's Pizza and thought we would stop by if it looked like a good place to hang out once we got there. Not to worry, the pizza place is inside of a nice sports bar right across from the Carlisle sports complex. They had one topping pizzas on sale for $10 which is a screaming good deal and also a good excuse to have a beer or two and a great evening. The pizza was a great example of Des Moines classic style, thin crust, very crispy, great sauce, and plenty of toppings. We bought an extra to take home for others. In addition to the single topping pizzas, we tried a specialty "Timmy's" with grinder, sausage, capicola and roasted peppers. The onion rings were thin, hot and crispy. The parm dressing was spot on. We'll be back.“

“Last week was my 1st time here, but the staff treated me like an old friend. & the pizza was amaaazing. While waiting for my food, there was a little girl who was dancing & fell (she was alright). The staff were very kind to her & even gave her a big cookie to have for dessert!“

“Absolutely DELICIOUS!! We normally are not in DSM during work week, however with spring break today we went to walk skywalks and decided to check it out. My fiancé had a piece of pizza and I had a bite of the crust…and ended up eating his leftovers as the crust was PERFECT! I couldn’t stop thinking about the Alfredo Mac and cheese, so we grabbed that to go. It was A-MAZ-ING!!! So good and the owner was super nice!“

“Extremely good experience. Beer was cold, service was fast. My only negative was the salsa was a little warm temp wise. I requested the hot salsa which was highlight of the meal. Absolute perfection. The queso was very thick, but very hot and tasty. I ordered the California burrito which was enough to feed 3 people for only $15. My GF loved the margarita. Very tasty.“

“This restaurant is located on the 1st level of the Kruse building downtown. It is very stark and modern. The staff are Uber nice and extremely helpful. The serving size is plentiful. The menu is small and has just a few different options. The place has concrete floors and with tables and chairs. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. As I said the staff is extremely attentive.“

“Quality food, basic but well rounded menu, and prompt service.Everything was clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean and roomy. I thought the prices on the margaritas were a little high, but otherwise the menu pricing was typical.I'm looking forward to going back!“

“Full of flavor! Loved everything! I had pupusa, tamale and pastelitos. Tamale was chicken and very moist. It was full of veggies and chicken. Pastelitos were beef and they had great flavor full of beef and veggies. Pupusa with chicken and mixed were both excellent and huge. Red sauce and a great kick but not too much. Curtido was excellent and I ate it with everything. I will bring my family back!“

“This was a fairly new Olive Garden location on the south side of Des Moines. Very nice atmosphere. Our waitress was great, but I never got her name. We were pleasantly surprised at the serving sizes. It was just the right amount! The cheese ravioli with meat sauce was great. We didn't have to get a to go bag, and we even had room for dessert! It was a great lunch. Thanks, Olive Garden!“

“It had been a couple years since I last had Teriyaki Boys (back then, they were where Fernando's is now in the Local Bites food court), and it was kind of sad to see what used to be a super busy food court with lots of options only have a few open options (that and the dimly lit room made it seem kind of forlorn), but I'm glad to say that Teriyaki Boys had the same great taste and the same competitive pricing. The amount of food you get for the price in addition to the taste itself is fantastic. We've been trying to find a good teriyaki place that's somewhat comparable to Washington state, and it's safe to say that this definitely helps the teriyaki cravings!Got the shrimp, beef, and chicken (didn't take a picture of that, but did take a picture of the beef and chicken) with steamed rice. The rice was really good, veggies gave a nice crunch, and the meat was juicy, tender, and just fantastic.“

“First time I've ever had Potbelly. The sandwich (Mediterranean on flatbread) was good. But the service was exceptional. Even on a busy afternoon, every single person working was kind and friendly, going out of their way to help everyone have a good experience. If this was my crew, I'd be proud of them!“

“Food was cooked exactly how I liked it. The angel noodles are the best! I like shrimp and mushroom cream sauce with mine. The Mojito was very fresh with the right amount of alcohol. I got the chocolate lasagna cake to go but I ate it when I got home. It's so damn good! Highly recommend it. Service was on point. I left a $10.00 tip for a $33.00 bill. I don't mind tipping if the Service is great.“

“Don't let the long drive-thru line fool you at Chick-fil-A Ankeny! This place is a well-oiled machine. While it might appear like a 30-minute wait, they get orders moving incredibly fast. From placing your order to receiving your food, it usually takes less than 5-10 minutes. Super impressive service for a busy location!“

“I went there twice when I was in town. The first time I had miso soup and vegetarian sushi for lunch and that was 5/5. I went again after 2 days for dinner and the vegetarian sushi wasn't as good as the first time, still not bad at all!“

“Sip Club member -love the sip club.... 4 stars, only option at this location for sugar free is Deit Pepsi. There used to be other diet offerings. They have 2 dispensers in the fountain for Mtn Dew, 2 for Dr Pepper etc. A huge fountain machine but each option is simply doubled. Maybe Diet Mtn Dew, Diet Dr Pepper for variety would be appreciated.“

“Just went out and bowled 6 games with my wife. Nice and quiet. Call ahead to assure a lane is available. They also have a website too. We spent 50.00 with shoe rental. Not to bad. Water is very overpriced. We split one and my wife picked it up.“
