“I went to B Bops on my Bycycle to both get exercise and feed my fat face between 11:00-11:30pm on 4/18/21. They were super busy and as can happen in BUSY FAST FOOD SITUATIONS, mistakes do occur. They WILL occur. The question with B Bops or any other business is where do you go from there? Well in my case B Bops solved my Number 9 Burger and Fires problem with consummate professionalism not seen not seen since the Roman Siege of Alesia in 52 BC. Now some among you might say "Sean that is TOO PROFESSIONAL."🥴, to that I say how would you know? You weren't there man! 5/5 would def go again. B-Bops Invicta. McDonalds Delenda Est.“

“The owner was walking around helping everyone, was clear this franchise owner puts in the extra effort. Small details were unexpected at this location - fresh flowers on all the tables, the fastest table clearing and cleaning ive ever seen at a fast food joint, someone walking around in a cow costume taking pictures with everyone, super clean bathrooms, etc.. Probably my best fastfood restaurant experience ive ever had.“

“Went through the drive thru yesterday for lunch for my toddler. The line was crazy for drivers side so we went through passenger side and I let him pass the money out his own window and get his food. He loved it and the guy working the window was amazing with him! He had the biggest smile!“

“I have eaten an unreasonable amount of Subway in my lifetime. I’m basically a self-appointed Subway sandwich critic. And let me tell you, this location? Elite. Out of all the Subway sandwiches I’ve had in my life (and trust me, there have been MANY), this location is hands down the best. The bread is always so fresh and soft, they put the perfect ratio of topping on every time. And as if it couldn't get any better the staff are some of the most friendly people you will meet. Most of the time they remember my entire sandwich order and it's evident that the staff truly care about the important art of the Subway sandwich as much as i do. 8th wonder of the world is the Merle Hay Johnston subway.“

I have also had my share of terrible service and/or food and usually do not say a word. The experience I had this afternoon at Culvers in Ankeny was horrendous. The food that is. The drive through guy that took my order, payment and delivery was so kind and helpful. I ordered a cod dinner and was only able to eat some of the fish. The 2 sides I ordered were cheese curds and fries. Both were so cold, hard and dry. I was so disappointed. The roll that came with it was cold, hard and dry as well. The butter was good! I did eat most of the fish but it too was tough. WHAT has happened to Culvers? Don't they realize that they are not the only option for food? Sad to say but I will be going to those other options for my meals in the future. The concrete I ordered was sloppy (down side of cup) and melting but did taste good. I HATE leaving a poor review but come on Culvers. Do better. Be better. If it had been just 1 food this review would never have been written. Oh, side note. This was after the lunch rush and before dinner rush. It was close to 2. Got right into drive through with no waiting. Disappointed.“

“Really good food and service, only downside is that I forgot to lock the door when taking a juicy dump. Long story short, I was listening to Samir Woods through my headphones when a family of 4 opened the door on me. Out of panic, the family through there canes sauce at me, leaving me with prime uzi and covered in a little bit of goop.“

Instead of the usual, both my kids devoured thier burgers, and were even asking if they could get another burger. They are currently talking about how they can't wait to go back. “This location is very convenient. Just off I-80, you can't beat its location. It's biggest downfall is that there doesn't seem to be very many adults working there between 11an and 1pm. As with many businesses, with high employee turnover rates, there just seems to be not many give-a-dangs given by most of the staff, with one or two members truly caring about their jobs and their customers. That being said, the ones who care, do what they can to keep things alive. The food is hit or miss on heat. I even had 1 Frisco handed to me on regular bread that wasn't even toasted. I gave this Hardee's a 4 out of five for their hard workers that are trying their best to keep the business alive and not complaining to every guest who pulls up to the window. The fries are always good, the sandwiches are good, just not always hot or built correctly, and drinks are always cold and fizzy. A for effort to those who do their job. The rest who work there need to consider mowing lawns.“

Usually it takes a decent amount of time for me to get my food and be greeted but the food is always great here and you can tell they’re trying their best! Last week I went to McDonald's on nw urbandale dr and the experience was just the opposite. They need to take a lesson from this Taco John's on customer service and fresh food!“

“My employees and I have tried almost all of the taco trucks on the south side and we have a small spread sheet ranking them on tastes cost and overall and this is our top pick. I love that the food is full of flavor but not full of grease. Best taco truck out there“

“I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Tim at the Subway in Ankeny today. He was working all by himself and still managed to serve everyone with such grace and ease even though his help arrived pretty late. Despite the rush, Tim kept a positive attitude, made great conversation, and was genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve come across in customer service.

I sat down and ate while watching him work, and he never once seemed stressed or overwhelmed. He was polite, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly without missing a beat. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and he’s just the kindest person. Tim truly went above and beyond, and he absolutely deserves a raise and some serious recognition!

“I ❤️ Papa John's, always good service and hot food and extremely rare to mess things up. This location on Douglas in Urbandale needs an applause. I do have one bone to pick, this sandwich sucked. Not enough meat to bread ratio by a long shot.“

“That crew tonight was busting it. The drive thru was slammed, inside was slammed. I don't know if they were short handed or what but they had a customer upset about the wait and they handled it well and apologized to everyone for the wait. Some people forget how lucky we all are to live in a place we can have other people make us food, have transportation to go get said food and have money to be able to afford said food. Half the world probably wishes they had those things, last thing I'm going to do is complain about waiting for someone else to make me food. That's crazy 🤣“

“It's fast food but I almost always like what I get. The fried rice is nice and so far I've liked the entrees I've tried. Some of the spicy dishes are really good

I'm giving four stars because there is no way to place a special order - for example I can't order an entree without bell peppers. Also four stars because it is a good fast food place but not a five star restaurant. Try it, you'll probably enjoy it and go back somewhat regularly like I do“

“I came in after the lunch hour to a clean dining room. The young lady that helped me, greeted me promptly. She was was very friendly and efficient and I felt welcomed, even though I came in between meal periods.

The meat and veggies on my sandwich were well prepared and were very fresh.

“We come to this Subway often because they actually know how to make a veggie sandwich. At a lot of other locations, if you don't get meat, they barely put any toppings on it and you end up with a flat sandwich. This location is different—they actually make a filling veggie sub, which is hard to find!
It’s great to find a spot that doesn't skimp on the ingredients. Also, this is one of the only Subways around that consistently accepts the good coupons, so the value is excellent. If you want a sandwich that’s actually worth the price, this is the best location to hit.“
