The staff are always super attentive and courteous. Their menu offers several Vegetarian options to choose from. If you're in the Valley Junction area this place is a must. Coffee lovers this is the place. Often but not always they offer some delectable baked goods. The interior is designed like a modern art gallery it actually feels like you've stepped into a sophisticated minimal but rustic museum, in fact there's abstract art and photography on the walls throughout the location. The cooks are on full display as they work as well, if you choose to sit at the kitchen bar or dining area the open kitchen bar design allows you to watch as they meticulously craft your dish. This place is impressive. Highly recommend!“

And my order was done in a fast & timely manner that I didn't even get comfortable in my seat to wait for the order to be done. Will definitely come back to see them two again. “I want to give a shout out to Early Birds restaurant in West Des Moines. Kevin was a fantastic bartender. First time I have been here. The food was amazing. I love the atmosphere. The whole concept is great. The menu… too many things to choose from. I got the Cinnamon roll French toast. Delicious. And the Hashbrown holes delicious. It was great to get an appetizer before my French toast. I have to give a shout out to Kevin as he knows everything on the menu plus he has great suggestions for drinks from the bar! Will deffinately be going back again.“

“My favorite place to hang out with a friend and grab healthy refreshments or a nice cup of kava. Great ambience, super high ceilings. The owners and the staff are really nice. Sometimes there can be a huge rush of people and they turn up the efficiency so words get concise, but they get the orders out as quickly as they can and that's all that really matters to me. My friends and are are usually catching up on our lives as we wait. Highly recommend if you're looking for a healthy spot to socialize, do some work or study for a class. I love this place as it was born as an extension of the top Natural Health clinic in the Des Moines area. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area. For all the haters on here... they probably needed more kava in them... it's from an herb that has helped many people calm their anxiety. Just ask the oceanic islanders who drink it before any type of mediation.“

“came in on a Thursday for lunch the bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable and very pretty got a mojito and the porkchop. hands down the best mojito I ever had and the chef / owner made me one of the best porkchops with rice and beans and soft bread I ever had she was very upbeat and personable about her business highly recommend pretty patio for summer drinking too.“

Their focus may not always be on the lowest prices, but they have a better selection and higher quality product than some cheaper stores. They're not overpriced, just maybe not the lowest. “We live in Ankeny, but very often drive to the Johnston Panera to enjoy our weekly coffee/pastry date. This location is obviously managed well. It is always clean and the pastries are not over baked. The coffee bar is also always clean as is the microwave. Coffee is always fresh and if it isn't they immediately bring out a fresh pot. Also this location seems to be well staffed! Our compliments to the management and staff of this Johnston location! Well done!“

“Shout out to the Manager at the Panera Bread, north Ankeny. I ordered lunch for both my husband and myself off the kiosk. When we were alerted to pick it up, they just had my husband’s order at the kitchen counter. I asked if my soup was ready and they didn’t have it on the order. The kitchen just dished up a bowl and gave it to me along with the drink I thought I had ordered. I returned to the main counter and explained that I owed them for a bowl of soup and drink. The manager at the register said, “not today, it’s your lucky day”. I will be returning to this location for the kindness both the kitchen staff and manager displayed. Thank you!“
