“We decided to try Happy Teriyaki last night, and I’m so glad we did! From the first bite, everything was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and the portions were huge. It’s hard to find a place where everyone in the family leaves happy, but this was definitely one of those spots.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and the whole experience made us feel welcomed and appreciated. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and the quality of the food they serve. We’ll definitely be back, and I can’t wait to try more from the menu. If you’ve been thinking about giving them a try, do it—you won’t be disappointed!“

“Another one of my favorites. My family and I love anime, so we love the esthetic. The food is absolutely amazing. My favorite rolls are the last samurai, the sixth sense, and mad max. My youngest usually gets the chicken teriyaki combo, he loves it, you will NOT go hungry. I also love their selections of cold and hot sake. Just know, you can't make a reservation. You need to be on your game and hop on their waitlist if youre going for dinner (like, after 5pm).“

“I was so lucky to get to try this place out during my visit to Boise. My uncle who’s lived in Japan is a complete sushi iceberg, and we go nowhere else. I had to have the Godzilla road now I had many other roles and my cousin, to the number of different items the service was incredible!!! The spicy dragon roll was my favorite, but Godzilla you have to try!!! OH NOOOO I SAY YOU HAVE TO GO AND TRY GODZILLA!!“

“Izumi in Eagle has always been very good and very consistent. The service is top notch, restaurant is clean. The quality of the fish at this location is better than most in the valley. Yoki is a standout sushi chef. We always like to sit at the sushi bar so we can interact with him while he makes our order. Yoki makes this trip and the bill worth it!!“

“Hands down my favorite place to eat in Boise. I'm from out of town but this is the first place I go when I visit. Open late, drive thru or sit down or pick up order so very convenient. Super cute little family owned business and the whole family puts their heart and soul into this place. Fantastic customer service. The food is amazing & always tastes fresh (the best shrimp fried rice I've ever had & the beef and broccoli is amazing if you're a fan of garlic. I personally love to order a miso soup to enjoy with anything rice based). You literally cannot beat the prices for this place. Most plates are $10-$14, and I usually split one plate with a friend. This place knows my regular order by heart even if I haven't visited in a year. I eat here every day I'm in town sometimes. If you haven't yet, give this place a try! You won't regret it! Everything is cooked to order so some dishes take a little longer to cook than others, but it's worth the wait!“

“Coming from Seattle, a $13 bento bowl is unheard of. Brown rice, choice of protein such as salmon or seared ahi and the green sauce with generous veggies is a dream.
The quality of protein is outstanding and I tried the beef, salmon and ahi. I like the simplicity of the offerings and the quality is delicious.
5 stars for service and efficiency and very friendly staff. I’ll be returning with my family. Thank you Zen Bento. Great job.“

“Their food is good. Its not a Michelin star restaurant but its homemade and humble. Ran by the dynamic husband & wife duo. I love this place. I come here too much! 😅

Love their Spicy Tuna Roll. That crunch he adds to the tuna filling is good. Especially dipped into a mixture of soy sauce & wasabi.

Their lunch specials from 11am-230pm are inexpensive and filling. Especially with their egg flower soup that they offer for FREE with your lunch special purchase.

They definitely TRY to put utmost love and care into what they do. So whether you have a bad experience or good experience make sure to always come back for we are human, sinners, and imperfect.

“We checked this place out for the first time tonight! Wonderful friendly staff, flavorful food, atmosphere was alright, fairly basic for a strip mall feel but clean. The storefront could use a refresh, the posters are south facing and get a lot of sun (fading and peeling). But great place! We tried the Chef burrito and Shrimp Lovers burrito, miso soup (one is definitely enough to share), and the fried cream cheese wontons were delicious! We’ll be back!“

“Tonight was our first time at Izumi and we were celebrating our 25 year anniversary. Brad was our waiter/server and he was so helpful and friendly and Fernando was our cook and he was hilarious and so entertaining. The food was so tasty and there was so much of it! My boys were impressed with the sushi too. Everything was perfect and we really enjoyed our visit. We will definitely be back!“

“This review is for the Garden City location!! I have loved this place for a long time. But unfortunately tonight my Katsu was burnt to a crisp, fried rice was as dry as the Sahara. My kids plate was the same order and not any better. My partner's orange chicken was rubbery, like it had been out for a long time. Her Katsu was burnt as well. We have eaten there so many times but the last 2 times it's been absolutely terrible as well and I feel like it was a waste of money. We made macaroni and cheese because we had to throw it out. Next time, we will have to go to the Meridian location and see if our luck is better, but it's going to be a while before we do.“

“I grab a chicken bowl from here every day. There were a couple of people waiting today and being impatient. It was only 7 minutes or so on a busy night. The kind gal upfront 'Nicole' was super sweet and respectful in letting everyone know the timing of their order and that other orders were already being processed. The food is yummy and affordable. They definitely get busy here and the food is cooked correctly. Some reviews talk about the veggies being plain but I personally like them steamed plain without seasoning, as I add their delicious custom sauce to it. “Happy Teriyaki ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 1/25/23, I had to work late and stopped at Happy Teriyaki on Federal Way in Boise for take-out. This was my first time visiting this business. I was a bit skeptical because I knew it was a franchise with 10 Idaho locations, but it was on my way back to the office and I always like to try new things.  I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Happy Noodles with Chicken ($12.95), which is Chicken on a bed of Yakisoba Noodles. Other protein options are beef or pork. I was drawn to this dish because Yakisoba isn’t on many menus in  Idaho. In fact, the first time I ever had it was before it was on any local menus, and I had to make it myself from scratch.  The service was excellenot. My order came out fast. It was steaming hot and I could tell from the heft of the bag that it was generously portioned. It made two meals for me. I like that it had a large portion of chicken. The noodles were deliciously, seasoned and perfectly cooked. This is my kind of “fast food.” My five star review is based solely on this dish because it’s the only one I’ve tried. It was excellent! And it’s the best Yakisoba I’ve had in Boise to date. Highly Recommended!!!“
