“We stopped here while traveling down I-64. It's a really unique restaurant in the basement of a very old hotel (1864). The restaurant is only one part of a family of businesses connected to the hotel experience. It has a special desirable charm, despite not being the most kempt place. The food was really good, and there was a good selection. The onion ring batter seemed a bit stale tasting, but everything else was great. The fried chicken was fantastic! I would love to try their steak. The service was sublime. Servers were attentive and kind. Our kids enjoyed learning about how the hotel is haunted?.“
“The Bonnie Cafe in Nashville IL is very nice!! They were quick to great is and let us pick our own seats. They have wonderful buffet that my sister and husband enjoyed, and I had the waffle with bacon. Our server went above and beyond to make certain coffee was always warm and we had everything we needed. All the food was delicious. I would highly recommend The Bonnie Cafe for breakfast or lunch. They aren’t open for dinner.“
“Great little truck stop!! I ate at the restaurant and had some spaghetti with meat sauce, it was very tasty! Although the young waitress asked if she could get me a drink, I said yes I’ll take sweet tea, 35 minutes later my delicious food came to the table. She came over and asked if I needed a drink and I said you asked me 35 mins ago I said sweet tea and she said ok. After dinner still no drink and she never checked on me again. Great little place, waitress sucked!“
“Good salad bar but anticipate a plate instead of shallow bowl and it's single trip not AYCE. Other salads available on the menu. Great chili Very quaint and appears they do events in a back hall. Nice history on the wall in the hallway. And the broccoli cheese bites are delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: Not through the main entry that I saw“
