“I have been going to Gary's since I was in 7th/8th grade (after sockhops). I was addicted to their ice the whole time I was pregnant with my son 20 yrs ago, plus I went into labor there. Gary and his wife are family friends and everyone that works there works their tails off to keep the good home cooked meals. I just wish there was a way I could get my semi truck and trailer in there when I am on a 10 hr. I will always have fond memories of not just hanging with friends after school dances but also you all are great people. “We enjoy Reifschneider’s when in Freeburg/Columbia. I usually opt for the chicken finger platter-it’s consistently delicious. The chicken fingers have a tasty and crunchy batter that make them perfect. We also ordered loaded nachos. It’s an appetizer but you get enough to make it a meal. My son ordered the potato soup. This was the only item that we didn’t love. It had a smokey flavor that we didn’t care for. The service was fast and friendly. We will be back soon.“
“Ordered turkey white bean chili, bbq sand on brioche (both daily specials), rosemary jalapeño fries, breakfast burrito to share. I sampled all and absolutely delish! Each item tasted extraordinary. I love this place because everything I order is made with carefully crafted flavors and texture—down to the salsa served on the side of burrito. It was homemade and fresh—not jarred. Burrito stuffed with eggs, chorizo, bacon, and more—ordered mine without potato. Smoky, not too spicy—YUM! BBQ was tender and tasty but chunky and not stringy—how delightful! Fries are always great and I must order every time I go. Chili had nice chunks of succulent turkey—you could see and taste the turkey. This place never disappoints and gets better every time I go.“
“Last night was my first time @ The Corner Grill and Chill. I had a Double Cheese Burger and a side of Onion Rings. I absolutely loved it!!! It was fantastic. and I have eaten alot of take out /Bar food etc. Believe me this was again FANTASTIC! The service was Spot On, Fast, Friendly and Accurate. I strongly recommend it. I know I will definitely be back!!“
“Went to the Tap Haus for the first time yesterday with my wife. They have really cleaned this place up from previous iterations of this restaurant/bar I had visited.I had the Bacon burger with pub cheese and jalapeños. I forgot the name of it. But it was excellent. The 1/2 pound burger was perfect temperature and very juicy. The Fries were cooked crunchy without being burnt. the way I like them.The burger paired wonderfully with a leinenkugel shandy draft. I really enjoy these on hot summer days and oddly with burgers.We enjoyed the pretzel sticks as well. The cheese made this app. It was delicious. I had to fight my wife for these.The onion rings were ok. They would be better served cut in half width wise and have more pieces. As they were the rings were too big to fit in the cup. They tasted great, they were awkward to eat.I would remiss to not mention the pleasing service of Stacy as the mixologist. She was attentive without being overbearing. Additionally we were out the door, well fed in time for our movie!I want to try out the bingo nights and the trivia nights at a future visit. All together this is a great addition to Belleville!!“
“Oh my, gosh!! Best dinner ever! There were 6 of us and we all said it was the best meal ever! (and my brother is very hard to please). The food, awesome, the service was wonderful... and the martinis?...absolutely the best! You have to try the Hazelnut Martini ?. Plus, the lunch specials are super affordable and more than enough for one meal. I can't say enough good things. Can't wait to go back. !!!?“
“5 stars at lunchtime. 2 stars for dinner. I've enjoyed multiple lunches here, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Food is on point, and the service is excellent! I'd bring my wife and kids. Dinner here was a different story. (Im talking 5pm). They cranked the music up too high. The service was terrible, but the food was still great (except the errors the waitress made). Won't bring wife and kids again for dinner.“
“Nice place with gorgeous views of the golf course/outside and spacious seating areas. Good food for decent prices, got the greasy but delicious Eagle Burger (with egg, bacon, and cheese) and steak fries. My companions also ordered the Southern Burger, quesadilla, and a BBQ sandwich and raved-about onion rings. Good place for a group to sit together and not have too long a wait (fast service).“
“I got the double gyro meat plate and was very satisfied with the amount, seemed like more than 12 ounces of perfectly sliced meat. It was seasoned very well, providing an excellent taste across all the taste buds with every bite. The Man brought us our food right to the table and made sure we were good before leaving and attending other customers. They have sweet tea as a drink option which pairs very well with the delicious meat plates. We also ordered dessert. The Man offered us some ice cream and told us he would wait until we were done with our meal to deliver the homemade baklava to our table. I was hungry after some strenuous dog training up the street and left a very satisfied customer. I will come back next time I am in the area.“
“This little gem is by far the best breakfast you can get in Southern Illinois. It's the only place my 5 and 2 year old will eat consistently and I don't order kids stuff. They are eating 5 or 6 veggies in their meals from here and that is just beautiful. After years of being loyal to places like The Egg and I and First Watch, this little place does what they do, except better tasting, actual seasonings on the food and dang near half the price. From price, to friendliness, to taste, this is my go to Breakfast place. For a local grocer, they go above and beyond with their offerings and listen to customer feedback. The bakery offerings and custom made drinks are fantastic - plus they update their menu seasonally!“
“Always been a good experience...not so much this time. Once we got our first drinks, never was asked if we needed/wanted a refill, which we did, watched the waitress hang out at one booth for the majority of the time we were there. She finally came back when we were done to ask if we needed to-go boxes and if we were ready for the check. An hour there and seen her at beginning and end!“

“They have really good burgers. They also have Hunt Brothers pizza at a good price and don't charge you for extra toppings. They also have slots and pool. There are darts there, too, but they are in the corner in a tight spot. But you could surely move a table and play anyway. They also have Extreme Bar Bingo, which is free. There is a back porch that has a roof and seating for smokers, which is very comfortable. They generally play good music here. There's not a lot of indoor seating, though, and the bathroom is very tiny. But if your bartender is in a good mood, you will have a great time.“
“I go here every weekend for breakfast with friends before we go to the shop, the food is really good..there aren't many diners left and I really don't like going to fast food places where there all about the money and not the customer. Here as soon as I walk in they already know I am having coffee and bring it straight out to me then I get straight to my order.“
“Eckert's is the go to place for a fall experience. Not only is the cider amazing but be sure to take the tractor wagon ride to pick fresh delicious Fuji apples & the plumpest pumpkin in the field! After our picking, we went to the Country Restaurant to enjoy lunch. You can't beat a fresh homemade meal!“

“This is one of my favorite places when I need some food but for some reason the fish and shrimp was good but I think that it could have cooked just a little more I don't know is it for the food sitting in the plates for so long and the French fries was over cooked plus you don't get as many as you used too will I good “
“If you want to watch the game this is a great place to be. Service is always friendly. Food is pretty good bar food. Wish there were a few more high tables. We often go with a large group and that can be difficult if you're not there early enough for tables. But that says good things as its a busy place.I will say it seems several families think it is an indoor recess setting letting their kids run wild. I've never been to any other restaurant where parents think it's ok to let kids run between tables, up and down stairs, toss food around etc. While the staff has tried to control this (and there is an under 21 curfew) some parents think they can let their kids do whatever they want. It's a shame because this is clearly a sports bar restaurant. I've taken my little one there several times and managed not letting him run around like it's a playground.“
