We heard about the décor and wanted to check it out I Was expecting a normal sports bar but it was way more than that.. to say the least the décor was highly impressive . But the best thing overall was the food. We all agreed that was probably one of the best burgers we've ever had . It looked like it came straight off of a food commercial and tasted amazing ! “This place is excellent!! The food is amazing. Highly suggest the Pulled Pork and Smash Burger. We got fries and Mac N Cheese as our sides. Fries were super crispy and Mac N Cheese was super creamy…both were delicious.

Service was also friendly and quick. Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday and got a seat immediately.“

“Ordered turkey white bean chili, bbq sand on brioche (both daily specials), rosemary jalapeño fries, breakfast burrito to share. I sampled all and absolutely delish! Each item tasted extraordinary. I love this place because everything I order is made with carefully crafted flavors and texture—down to the salsa served on the side of burrito. It was homemade and fresh—not jarred. Burrito stuffed with eggs, chorizo, bacon, and more—ordered mine without potato. Smoky, not too spicy—YUM! BBQ was tender and tasty but chunky and not stringy—how delightful! Fries are always great and I must order every time I go. Chili had nice chunks of succulent turkey—you could see and taste the turkey. This place never disappoints and gets better every time I go.“

“We came in for pasta night. Everything was fresh, MORE than enough food, a dessert was included and the atmosphere was top notch. We aren't drinkers so I can't speak to the taste of the cocktails but the glasses that passed our table were beautifully done, you can tell there is a lot of pride and skill that goes into the drink menu. “We were going to be cutting through town during lent season for a late night volleyball game. The No-Jacks online ordering system was extremely easy to navigate, we placed our order, it was ready on time when we strolled through town and by the time we got home-the food was still wonderful! Their fish was great especially-good quality fish, nice flavor, fried perfectly. The vinegar based slaw was also wonderful. Glad to see fried okra in the menu too ☺️ We will be back!“

“One of my wife and I’s go-to spots whenever we’re in the mood for Mexican food. Whether we’re dining in or grabbing carryout, the food is always exceptional and very well priced.

The staff is consistently friendly when we eat in—quick with drink refills and never letting the salsa run low. Speaking of salsa, their house salsa is a solid 10/10.

“If you’re anywhere near 1428 Tap Haus, do yourself a favor and stop in. The atmosphere is exactly what a neighborhood spot should be...homey, welcoming, relaxed, and full of good people. You can tell right away this isn’t some cookie-cutter bar. It feels like the kind of place where strangers become regulars after one visit. Misty and her daughter Mystical were incredibly friendly and made all of us Missouri guys feel right at home. Great service, great drinks, live music, and just an all-around good vibe from the moment you walk in the door. You can tell a lot about a place by the people running it, and 1428 Tap Haus has the kind of warmth and personality that keeps you wanting to come back. Looking forward to many more nights there!“

“Great place to hang with friends during the COVID shutdowns. Tables are set up to seat 6 people and are separated from other tables and guests. The staff is extremely friendly and they always wear their masks. The heaters are super warm and the firepits seem to warm the whole area!“

“I love the Eckert’s country store.
Whether you’re picking apples at the orchard, dining at the Eckert’s restaurant, you need your stop by the store before you leave.
I love bring my family here and pick up some delicious goodies.
On our last visit we got some delicious red apples, a jar of apple butter (so good?), apple cider, and a 4 pack of 16oz apple/peach hard cider.
We love coming here multiple times, and try different goodies every time.

“My husband I I ate breakfast at Main Street Cafe. My husband had a cheese omelette, home fries and English muffin. I had 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. Everything was delicious. The cafe is old but clean, comfortable and the servers are attentive and friendly. We’ll be back!“

“If you want the best wings in the Belleville and surrounding area, this is the place to go! Highly recommend the Carolina BBQ (very similar to Jefferson’s) and also the Peanut Butter flavored wings. Sounds weird but it’s fantastic. The wings have a perfect crisp and are always fresh. Haven’t tried anything else on the menu but he wings are 10/10“

“We use to frequent here all the time at least 2 to 3 times a week. We stopped going after I think there was a change in owners or something that changed the taste of the food.

Fast forward to last month we went back and ordered a big pan of chicken for an event we were having. The chicken was so good everyone complemented it and asked where did we get it from? Today 10/23 I went back and tried the Taco salad and cheese fries along with another pan of chicken. The taco salad had just the amount of flavor and the infielders were good. Only thing I would say is a little less lettuce and more cheese but that’s just me. Overall we give our experience on the food 5 stars. They really came back and redeemed themselves!“

Based on the reviews, and wanting to try something different than a big chain restaurant, we made a point of making the Erkert's -Belleville Country Restaurant our stop for breakfast on the way north on 8/6/2023. Such a wonderful meal! We had a sassy server, whom we loved, and she was very attentive as we enjoyed breakfast there. Food was delicious and the apple butter... OMG! The best I've ever had. We had to buy a jar of it before leaving. :) I wish we had more time to explore the complex, but based on this visit, we wouldn't hesitate to be a repeat customer.“

“The service was dry to me. The young man (key) who was the server. He was trying to write order down I guess he remembered everything. When the food start coming the manager brought our salads look like he didn't want to be at work. Then when one my friend sandwich came he sent it back it was not well done the waitress that brought it to him took it back to the kitchen and was then once we
were about to pay the bill. He advised
(Key) about it after he paid the bill. I feel that he should had made time to see if he had all of food. So he went back to the kitchen to see what happen that's when he had the sandwich. I hope that the next time I come there, I hope the service is much better. The other thing I didn't like was one of the waitress was vacuum the rug while guest was eating. I understand they trying to the place clean but it's not nice to do that while guests are their food.“
