“Skirt steak sandwich was pricey but a big portion and well worth the price since it came with fries and a salad. Counter staff was friendly, and the tables were clean. My friend had the gyro plate and it too was a large portion and a decent value. Don't let some of the prices deter you, it's good food, made fresh, and the portions are big. I would not hesitate to go back.“

“Greek Food!We love the stuff and enjoy coming to Plateia whenever we’re in the area. We enjoyed the previous Greek restaurant that was located here before, and luckily found that Plateia pretty much carried on where “Periyali” left off.We love the grilled octopus and grilled calamari - both of which can be hard to find. Most places only serve breaded, deep-fried calamari. The souvlaki (skewers) are also quite good. The dips are a great appetizer, and of course you MUST have a few bottles of Greek wine to accompany it all with.If you’re looking for a meal that is tasty AND fun - this is the place to go!“

I commend small businesses like this for keeping their commitment to being a wonderful local option for Wilmette and the surrounding neighborhoods. However, I do wish that they had at least a few vegan entree options. If they did, people like me would visit more often to eat instead of just having to settle with a tea and fruit.“

Hands down best gyros in town and the tzatziki sauce definitely makes them stand out. Very friendly service and clean establishment. “First time to eat here. Nice ambience, was able to be seated, quick service, friendly hostess.Good serving of calamari. We tried their octopus - it was also good. For dinner, my husband and I shared the lamb- it was tender but did not really care for it because it was gamey. “I went to this restaurant with family on 11/13 2023. We got outdoor seating and they were able to put tables together and seat us very fast. The service always had smiles on their faces and were all around very pleasant. The view was amazing, right next to the water. There was a bit of a wait for the food (which is expected for the large group we had) but they had live music and just such a great atmosphere. The food was 10/10 meeting and beating all of our expectations. Some dishes were a little pricey but not bad for the amount of food we were given and for the quality of food it was.“

“My family and I have been going to Goodi's for years! Great Greek style fresh food. Their spanakopita (spinach pie) is so special! Delicious chicken kebab, Italian Beef, Gyros, and salads always fresh and good quality. Family owned with wonderful staff especially Angie who greets me by name. Highly recommend this local gem!“
“This is the single greatest burger joint I have ever been to. It's not just the amazing food. It's the passion that the owners have for it. The new owners bought the place a few years back after being regular customers. The guy who originally owned it retired but still frequents the restaurant. All of them are very kind, and they love what they do, and it shows. The burgers are incredible. The shakes and malts are phenomenal. There isn't anything bad I could possibly say about this place.“

I recommend the Yemista (stuffed peppers and tomatoes filled with beef and rice) served with Greek potatoes and veggies. Other family members had the Dolmades, Pastitsio, and Makaronada, all of which were mouth watering and done right! Avgolemono was glorious, and the Saganaki was awesome, spot on-not dry or too salty. “We really enjoyed our dinner experience at Avli. They have a lovely patio tucked into the Laundry Mall, nice secluded, quiet and shaded. We had drinks and small plates. First was a trio of spreads: Hummus, Garlic and Spicy Feta. Served with warm pita, all 3 were delicious. Next we had Spanakopita and (3) mini chicken skewers. We finished with cheese cake. Everything was excellent, it was a perfect evening. Service was very good. Our waiter helped with wine suggestions, and recommended our selection of spreads. The location is a little hidden. They are inside the Laundry Mall. Google maps will take you to the building, you may not see a sign immediately for the restaurant. Go inside and you'll find it.“
“Delicious gyros and spanikopita (spinach pie). Sadly, they were out of Greek potatoes, but we were offered large baskets of fries to sub. Very fresh. The dining area is kept very clean with ample TVs to watch. It's a nice place to sit and eat and talk.“
