“The Dog Walk is a quick serve restaurant tucked inside a strip center at the south west corner of Milwaukee Avenue (Rt. 45) and Palatine (Willow) Road. I have been there quite often years ago, but surprised my spouse with a visit last weekend.

The food was just as delicious as I remember it and the owners, who are new, stuck to the old recipes that were wonderful.

I had a Gyro Burger (Gyro and a hamburger served on a toasted bun)and the spouse had a Gyro and they were excellent. The menu is perfect.

There is minimal seating so you will most likely take your meal home or enjoy it in your car, but it is well worth it. Interesting note that sales tax in Prospect Heights is 9.5%, which is substantially better than all neighboring suburbs!“

“This is my first time trying this restaurant and I loved it. My favorite Sandwich is the Italian beef, and I always like to try new restaurants to see who makes the best. I ordered the Homemade Italian beef sandwich with Hot peppers, and I loved it in general. Here is my feedback to the owner:

1. Your beef and gravy are very delicious and well balanced in taste; they are nicely seasoned which is something not all restaurants can get right. they are enjoyable to eat. Good job on this.

Here are some suggestions to further elevate the Sandwich in my opinion:

1. The bread should be able to hold a very wet sandwich without breaking apart, I suggest looking for special kind of bread that can do so for customer who like their Sandwich Saggy like myself.

2. Depending on the temperature of the gravy, the beef may need to stay in it for few minutes (3 to 5) to keep maximum tenderness.

3. The Hot peppers are extremely spicy, and they can dominate the taste and hide the deliciousness of your wonderful product. I pushed most of them aside to enjoy the awesome taste of the beef. If there is a way to tune them down so they give a kick, then I think it will be great in my opinion.

“Happy Susan Simms has brought this iconic spot back to life! The menu now offers vegan choices as well as those “dogs” we love. Couldn’t resist the chili cheese dog! Warm bun -perfect amount of cheese and chili. A yummy blast from the past back and better than ever😀“

“We moved here two years ago from NY and finally had Josh’s for dinner. Their menu is fantastic, with a lot of different options. We had the Ribs and Greek Chicken dinner. My husband said “these are amongst the best ribs I’ve ever had”. The Greek chicken was amazing. The food portions are more than generous. This will be our Friday night go to place for sure! The staff was also so friendly!“

BUT this place was amazing! I never in a million years would ever think what they called Red Sauce on a chicken sandwich would go together! But it was so good! “We recently moved to the neighborhood and noticed Hubby's after leaving the Farmers Market a few weeks ago. My husband noticed they advertised catering on their building, so we thought we should reach out for our kiddos 1st Birthday Party. They DID NOT disappoint! Marcie responded to emails promptly. She was very accommodating with adding extra food last minute (86 guests), and their hot dog cart was such a nice touch for our baseball themed party. “We are Costco members from past 11 years and really love our Costco store. Costco carries huge selection of fresh fruits at reasonable prices. We always love our fresh fruits from here. In addition to it, Costco have always come to our rescue when it comes to renovations including buying flooring, outdoor lights, furniture. And their customer service is TOP NOTCH. We never think twice buying from Costco knowing the fact Costco got us covered.“

“Today was the first time I have ever Ben in a Portillo’s Restaurant, first time I have ever had an Italian beef sandwich. I have a Lotta friends in Fort Myers who go all the way to Tampa to get this sandwich and they continue to tell me how good it is. So this evening we decided to go to Portillo since I was visiting on my grandkids and my daughter and son-in-law, I really enjoyed that Italian beef sandwich. There are a lot of other good things on the menu, but that was what I was there for. Unfortunately, they do not have a Portillo’s Station FortnMyer Florida. I can only hope that one day they will build it there.“

“This place is extremely excellent for anyone who knows how good a Chicago dog is, even if you don’t want a Chicago dog, they have plenty of other options that simply surpass any other classic diners. Not only do they keep their food fresh and delicious. They also have the most experienced workers I’ve ever seen, working here for over 2 decades each and every one of them. Making sure everyone gets the proper preparations for their food. Would 100% recommend anyone who is either visiting Chicago, or hasn’t tried this place. Irving’s does it like no one else simply because of experience and also knowing almost all there costumers personally. Not to mention they’ve been open for over 50 years now! Also the nostalgia for all those old timers who wanna take a blast in the past! Highly recommend and would eat here again.“

“I love Portillo's. But this location cannot get drive-thru orders correctly. They consistently order the wrong number of items, or the toppings that we ask for. We've had to call in literally the last 5 times we've been there telling them they missed something, charged us for things we didn't get, or because we were given other people's orders. Clean it up Portillo's. It's not that hard serving hot dogs.“
