“Always top notch and even rare selection when it comes to bourbon. I have one here for happy hour with coworkers and scheduled bourbon tastings with my fellow enthusiasts.Spears is a restaurant with a large selection of spirits. Bison and Elk burger are my two favorites. My recent excursion included the mini mes and with great surprise. The kids menu was fulfilling and provided fun desserts for all ages.“
“My work team and I went to Union Ale House to take part in their Wednesday night trivia competition. We had a fun time. There is something on the menu for everyone and lots of drink choices too. The food was tasty. Service was good, which for a group of our size was impressive. The only two criticisms I had were that the bathroom could use improvement and the parking lot needs help. Not enough spaces to park and I parked by a very scary looking ditch. We'd definitely go back again.“
“Dear Jimmy D's, We cheated on you today to go try the bird's nest for lunch. I'm eating the buffalo wrap right now & it pales in comparison to yours. Whoever reads this, don't go to Bird's nest to "see if it's good." Instead, just keep going to Jimmy D's, where the service is great & the food is always delicious. Again, we're sorry we cheated on you to try Bird's Nest. We love you Jimmy D's. Sincerely, The people with the small children & the grandparents that come in all the time.“
“I like the food at this bar delicious and the excellent servers. The only reason I give this place a 4-star is the fries. For some reason, they are always super salty. The chicken tenders are super good and a must-try, crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside.“
“Great brews and great food!Stopped here after the botanical gardens. It is like a 6 minute drive from the gardens. And worth the trip for sure. The birria and mardi ramens were fantastic! Fried ramen was great too! Can't wait to go back!“
“Great food and excellent service. It’s a local treasure and I would highly recommend stopping by. I don’t drink so I really can’t speak to that, but when I’ve come in the bar always looks busy and it seems like they usually have a good variety of drink specials. And don’t let the bar in the front fool you, there is plenty of seating in the back to enjoy a meal with your family. They also have seating outside in nicer weather. I love their cheese curds and I’ve had a variety of their different soups which were all good! I enjoy their wings, they might be a little too spicy for some with a sensitive palate. I love their chicken salad and I get it on their focaccia bun which is always fresh and delish. Burgers were good too. However I hate to say it because I love this place, but I don’t love their corn beef sandwich, they serve it open face and it’s sliced a little thick for my liking. I prefer the kind of corned beef you get from a Jewish deli, but to their credit the sandwich and ingredients tasted fresh, so I think it’s just a matter of preference. I’ve only been here about 5 times so I’m looking forward to trying more things from their menu. And I’d also like to mention I’ve ordered carry out from here twice and both times food was correct and packaged well. And if you’ve order out recently you’ll understand how much of a rarity that is. I think that partly has to do with the man who has taken my order both times, I’m not sure if he is the owner but he is great, he obviously knows the menu. Sometimes you order out and the person on the other end doesn’t even know what soup they have that day. Whoever runs this business clearly knows what they’re doing and how to cater to their customers.“
“Honestly was a little nervous when I saw how little people there was and how extensive their menu was. We only got the golden shrimp (appetizer) and sushi items. So nothing from the grill side. But everything we got tasted really really good. Would like to go back when the terrace is open because I feel like the ambiance would be a little better out there“
“An absolute gem of a local neighborhood bar and bowling alley. Eight lanes of bowling with some of the original Brunswick automatic pinsetters, top ball return, and manual scoring (there are free apps available for scoring if you so desire). $6 per game and $2 for shoes (as of this posting February 2024), an absolute bargain. They have a full bar with 12 tap beers including a good selection of local craft brews (plus myriad bottles selections), and over 100 types of liquor, including flavored vodkas, whiskeys, rum, tequila, and everyone's favorite Malört. Wine is limited to individual serve bottles. The staff and owner are absolute legends, quick with their service and phenomenal personalities. They do not serve food aside from a few bags of chips, however, they do encourage ordering in. Joe's Pizza just down the street makes some of the best thin crust tavern cut pizza you'll ever enjoy. A pool table and TouchTunes jukebox are available as well. Outdoor seating is a great way to relax on those warm spring and summer days.“
“Hitz is a wonderful local sports pub with quality food, lots of options, friendly service, plenty of screens for sports, and a great atmosphere welcoming friends, family, teams, and everyone in between! So let's talk about the food: in a word, everything we've had has been good. The pizza is fabulous, burgers are good, chicken sandwiches, good food all around. They have this spud deal where you can add whatever toppings you want. I love this! A ginormous potato, ground beef, cheese, bacon, peppers, and a crap-ton of black olives - delicious! And let's not forget the amazing beer nuggets appetizer - oh man! Major yum factor. My wife and I always start with these. And let's not forget the service. While we do frequent this sports bar on a fairly regular basis, it's not so frequent where they would remember our names, but they do and always say hello and stop by to chat with us. Hitz is my happy place.“
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! YESSS THEY ARE DOING IT RIGHT!!! I’ve dined in several times already at Blackfinn and I must say that I will continue to make this a regular thing and date night with my wife! Every time the drinks were made with love and to perfection. The service was superb and the food came hot, tasty, and delicious. The menu is quite extensive including alcohol offerings and they always have a rotating special in season. I’m mind blown and can’t wait to go back and try another drink and food! Keep up the good work. Kudos to Natasha! They’ve earned my highest recommendation.“
“I can't comment on food, but bartender was very friendly. We came here to watch women's World Cup game after dropping out son off at Great Lakes Naval station. It's super close, making it a nice place to relax if you have some time to kill before heading back to base.“
“First time at Chief's Pub. I'm not really a sports fan, although I do jump on the bandwagon if there's a large event. Not sure why there were so many people in here on a Monday night, some college hoops from small schools, Daytona 500 on the big screens, until we were leaving and all the jumbo screens turned to the Hawks and the noise level noticeably increased. Decent selection of bar food offerings, sandwiches, burgers and wraps. We split the loaded tots and that was really good--it was certainly loaded with toppings--cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños and bacon (maybe cilantro). I ordered the mini sliders -- there were three of these but I could only finish one -- and I would definitely split these if I came back. My friend had a black and blue salad and they said the steak was good. There's nothing fancy here and that's ok. Sports banners and memorabilia abounds, half of the room is the bar area with high tops and there's a divider and on the other side are tables and booths. The patrons were split between those congregating at the bar and families and couples at the low tops digging in. Staff, servers, host---everyone was pretty friendly and lowkey.“
“Hubby and I loved this place! Ashlee is a great bartender and makes your experience most memorable! The food is great and the drinks are superb! Had a great time with the regular patrons, they made us feel very welcome and glad we stopped by. Cheers!?“
“Austin's has become one of my favorite local dining destinations, primarily because I need to eat gluten-free and Austin's has a fair number of gluten-free offerings. The food is always good and the service is friendly and accommodating.“
“Every bar has a gimmick. Nowadays a lot of them getting too gimmicky. Not this place no gimmick. Hard to find in Chicago.Tried to drink all of their $4 tall boy PBR. The chicken quesadilla, how I got me and my coworker home. If I wasn’t in town on business I would’ve drank all their $4 tall boy PBR.In all seriousness, was told they were under new management. Obviously it’s working. Staff was entertaining, locals were non stop entertainment, food was crème de la crème of bar food.“
“Great last minute meet up spot!!! I ordered one of my favorite signature cocktails ?…a more perfect GIN martini ?….I was personally served and delightfully impressed with the owner of STORMY’s… maybe ? it was the great company I met up with there… I had a pizza! Great!!! I would say if you’re ever in this neck of woods… drop in and stay a while!!! ????????“
“Great place to go have a drink and grab food! Literally and an option for everyone when it comes to beer, liquor, wine, and food. If your a blue cheese fan, don't even get me started! The blue cheese is made in house and can't be beat! Smooth and chunky ???. It's pretty chill until around midnight and the pops off. So you can have a chill time or a club vibe depending on when you go. Plenty of games to play and plenty of slots to play as well.“
“Go to the Munich Inn for a burger and a beer! You will not be disappointed. The burgers are always cooked to perfection and the beer is ice cold. No waitstaff service, order at the bar and run a tab. The Munich Inn has become our go-to place for a few years now.“
“Sat in booth by front door. Had people looking over the side of booth. Had kids standing on bench and banging on booth. It was so loud in restaurant that I couldn't hear any conversations in our booth. FISH FRY was delicious. Food was hot and choice of sides was great. Maybe put in a waiting area so people that are eating can enjoy their meal without being stared at and asked questions “how's the fish tonight”?“
“Glad to have a place like this in our back yard. The wings and burgers are awesome. Great cold beer specials! I forget the bartenders name , petite short blond hair lady- I hope she gets as much credit as possible. She was busting her behind , and serving drinks , waiting tables in an understaffed environment , which is hard. She is always super nice and cares. It’s hard when you have to pay those high taxes as a smaller business owner…A+ , and thank you!“
“We enjoyed all of our food... apps, dinner, and dessert. Service and cook time were slow - it was a steady evening but never so busy that they had a visible wait of more than a couple minutes. We will certainly return again but it will never be a favorite place.“
“This was my first time visiting Premier lounge, one of my long time pool buddy recommended it. I had a great time shooting pool, the atmosphere was very nice and the bartender was great. Never had to signal her to refill my beverage. I would definitely recommend this place if your looking to shoot pool or even stop by for a drink and watch the game.“
“I recently discovered Station34 and tried their takeout, which was phenomenal! It's hard to find takeout that's as good as dining in, but this place nailed it. My favorite is the Southwest Veggie Pizza on tavern crust—it's so flavorful with the Southwest sauce and cheesy goodness.I also tried their cheese curds, which were amazing as an appetizer. However, I wasn't a fan of their Taco Pizza; the salsa Verde paste didn't quite work with the pizza. They also had a rotating special, the Mac & Cheese, in January, which was a miss for me. The pasta was very overcooked and lacked flavor. It can get busy, so I recommend making a reservation if possible; otherwise, they do take walk-ins. Overall, Station34 is a great spot for tasty takeout and a lively game-day atmosphere.“
“Excellent food and drink at astonishing prices. Great, upbeat service. Michael, behind the bar, was awesome. Can't believe they turned the old Dunton House into a slick sports bar, but kudos to them. Highly recommend, and we will be back!“
“At first everything was fine. Interesting place. there are a few downsides worth noting that will keep us from returning any time soon. We ordered wings, which turned out to be without a crust, the skin was rubbery, we had to remove it. Draft beer is terrible, it's just diluted water, for which we were charged money. Shots are only half of the impression. To have clients and earn money, you need to be honest ☺️“
“I am an event photographer and am at WhirlyBall often. The venue has a lot to offer including dance area, games, cars and laser tag. The staff are great and organized. Venue has easy parking and offers a variety of food items. Check it out.“
“1st time here. Visiting from GA. Not disappointed one bit. Kids and hubby raved. For me the wings was very flavorful but could be a little juicer, but it was seasoned to the bone. Mozzarella was perfect. Didn't take piks of sticks or wings cus I forgot and starving. Pizza was 7/10 for me. Hubby says it was 8.5/10. Again, not disappointed at all. We will be back before we depart Chi town!“
