“Listen this food is just too good. I hate meal prep (and cooking tbh) but wanted to eat better. I felt so lucky to find Bri and her team-- the food they make is magic and I swear to gods they trick me into eating more veggies all the time. And then the comfort food? The fried rice and the Mac n cheese and the jerk wings (even the vegan Mac n cheese, btw)? You don't even know. Last but not least- let me say that these folks are also so kind and thoughtful. Whether it's a heads up about something being out, bringing food to door when you aren't home, a cute note on the takeout bag, or offering a random extra juice one time when I picked up - they care about the food they are making and the community they are creating. Alyson is so kind and made us feel like we were uniquely important to her (even though shes working with dozens of couples at a time). We also have to give a special shout out to Alan - Alan was our dedicated server for the night (which was such a nice touch we weren't expecting) and he took care of all our needs with speed and kindness. Fresh ingredients, no fillers, high quality oils and fats, nice portions. Not that the other services are bad, but I compare them to frozen entrees at the grocery store, but taste a bit better. My Wholesome 360 entrees were restaurant quality, but with farm to table fresh ingredients-I could literally taste each of the food elements. If you are considering a food delivery service, I recommend paying the extra dollar per meal to get local fresh meals that are good for you, that heal you.“

“David and the Blue Plate Catering team were a dream to work with for our wedding celebration. Keeping it in the family, I had tasted the spread at BPC at my moms wedding in 2017 and knew they would be a top choice for our special day!

The appetizers were interesting and yummy, my favorite being the street corn tartlet and the bacon wrapped chorizo - YUM. I was so impressed with the quality of all the meats we had, the beef tenderloin with chimichurri was my personal favorite but the miso salmon and apricot chicken were a hit with our guests. They even offered a special (and bland) meal for my very dietary restricted friend. The end of the evening popcorn bar was such a fun touch to an evening on the dance floor. David’s team was easy to communicate with leading up to the day and day of, were fabulous at the table sides and making sure things were tasty, clean, and full! “It’s about time Chicago gets solid West African cuisine. Dozzy didn’t disappoint. Had the Designer Jollof Rice Bowl and it was delicious. I combined it with a couple orders of the shrimp suya sticks which put it over the top. Now, I loved the jollof, but that’s to be expected. What wasn’t expected was the shrimp. I can honestly say it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The herbs were perfect and it was grilled just the way I like it. I’ve known Dozzy for a long time and I’m so happy he’s sharing his gift to the world. Y’all get some.“

“I was a little hesitant about ordering a vegan sandwich here because I’m not vegan so ordered the egg sandwich with sriracha bacon. My friend ordered the vegan so I could have a taste. The sandwich arrived on a large baguette which they bake fresh daily, actually all their bread is freshly baked. It was amazing and the egg was perfectly cooked. The sriracha bacon gave the sandwich a slight kick and so tasty. I took a bite of a half of the vegan sandwich and just froze. I couldn’t believe how delicious it was. The sandwich is made on fresh toasted rye bread. I ended up devouring the whole half and had to finish my egg sandwich because I couldn’t put it down. Then I went for the hat trick. A vegan ice cream sandwich, vegan peanut butter ice cream between two rich vegan chocolate cookies. The best part is you can’t beat the price. It’s a casual place with a take out window due to COVID. I believe they may be back to indoor dining when the weather changes. However, they do have nice outdoor tables to sit at and enjoy. But if you are ever in Logan Square , be sure to check it out. They have amazing home baked pastries, cookies, and do much more. Even better, the staff at the window are fun, energetic and friendly. Be sure to ask them for recommendations.
