“Being from the suburbs traveling downtown can be an experience. This particular experience made our day. Moving our daughter into DePaul we came upon the owner of Red Light chicken who gave us a few pointers in parking near his establishment, after taking the time to help us find a spot he happily welcomed us with a free chicken sandwich which I’m happy to report was delicious. “I've been wanting pancakes for the past month and finally went for some this morning. The pancakes were PHENOMENAL! My pancake jonesing was fulfilled by a more delicious pancake than I imagined was possible. They were huge and I could only eat one 🤤 The other reheated perfectly in the microwave - the texture was interior, but the taste was still fantastic. I've been before, but got other things. At this point, I can confidently recommend the breakfast sandwich, beignets, and pancakes. Oh, and get yourself an orange pop for breakfast... Be bad, treat yourself!“

“So came across this place on my walk and love boba tea so I stopped in. I got the chicken sandwich and fries for a great deal ($8) and I must say I’m very impressed. The sandwich taste fresh, I got less spicy spice level and the chicken is nice and juicy. The sandwich has some really good flavor. Not hard at all which I love cause I hate getting sandwiches with hard chicken. I paired with a spicy mayo.

“Really nice place for real good food. My family and I stopped in after a trip into town for an escape room. We had the foghorn chicken sandwich, burger, mashed pot and gravy, tenders, nuggets, and fries. The burger and mashed we're recommended by staff and were terrific.
Everything was delicious, hot, and fresh. Recommend if you're looking for awesome food at a great price too.“

“This is one of the best chicken sandwiches you can get in Chicago. The biscuits are exceptional. The service there is fantastic! I only have one issue and it's that have they never have the biscuit batter because it's always sold out. 🤷🏾‍♂. The price on the drinks are also incredibly reasonable for a Roscoe village restaurant. Definitely recommend!“

“Great food! My friend and I went for a quick bite to eat before going home. This place hit the spot. The guy taking our was good, and he gave us recommendations and explained the menu. We ordered wings, tenders, shrimp, and fries with some canned drinks. It's not a fancy food spot, but if you're hungry and want something to satisfy you, I recommend coming here.“

“Stopped by Chick-fil-A in the Irving Park/Addison area while passing through Chicago. Like most Chick-fil-A locations, the food itself was good and consistent — the chicken sandwich was fresh, crispy, juicy, and exactly what you expect from the brand. The waffle fries were hot and well seasoned, and the service moved relatively quickly despite the restaurant being quite busy. Staff were polite and professional, which is something Chick-fil-A usually does better than most fast-food chains.

That said, the experience was disappointing overall because the bathroom was closed during our visit. When you’re traveling, especially with kids and family, access to a restroom is not a small issue — it becomes part of the overall customer experience. After driving around the city and stopping specifically to eat and take a break, finding out the washroom was unavailable was frustrating and inconvenient. There didn’t seem to be much communication around it either, which made it even more disappointing.

The restaurant itself appeared fairly clean and organized, and you could tell the staff were trying to keep up with the flow of customers. But for such a high-traffic location, basic amenities really matter. It changes how comfortable and welcoming the experience feels, especially for families, travelers, or anyone stopping in during a long day.

I’ll still say the food quality and customer service were better than many other fast-food places, which is why I’m not giving it a lower rating. But the closed restroom definitely impacted the visit enough to bring the overall experience down.

“Chicken hands down but they're gyro cheeseburgers is 🔥 too. They kind of fell off on the Italian beefs. They're chicken gizzards and catfish nuggets fried head is a hit too. Yet, they need to understand that everybody don't like lemon pepper. Put it on the side and let one decide if they want it.“

“My company moved a block away, and when I strike events I get back at 1-2am, so tonight I tried for first time coming back from downtown I usually stop at goose Island or I stop for a jew town polish Maxwell st, but didn't feel like stopping so I ordered the catfish nugget regular meal and it was incredible, highly recommend service was great the lemon pepper seasoning was fire came with fries and old school 2 pieces of white bread reminded me of getting from harolds chicken , next time I try the Wings. ;)“
