“Let me start by saying that I am kind of a sandwich snob. With that said, the Cubano sandwich I had here was fantastic. The cilantro garlic butter on the bread is such a nice touch. And I don’t even like cilantro!Adding this to my list of favorite lunch spots in the city.“

“This is an amazing grocery store in the heart of Lincoln Square. They have a great selection of groceries, the second floor adds in a large wine liquor and beer selection, and finally the butcher can't be beat. From fresh cut lamb chops, to as many brat varieties as you can think of, to freshly made pasta salad, they have it all. A must visit if you are in the area!Parking: Limited amount of spots available in the front of the store.“

“Love this deli so much I happily drive from Oak Lawn to get there. The Primo panini is my favorite but they are all top tier. Their canoli are quite possibly the best I have ever had. I buy two of their easter pies every year and my family goes nuts for them. If you haven't stopped in you are missing out big time. The staff is very friendly and warm like being around family.Parking: Free parking up and down the block both sides of the street“

“Amazing old school Italian deli. Their sandwiches are incredible, but their frozen pastas and sauces are very underrated. This is a great local spot that is very hard to find nowadays. You feel like you're walking into a different era when you come through here. One of the best local spots that Chicago has to offer.“

“We have been coming to Helfeld’s since they opened and beyond the amazing food (lox and bagels are to die for) the owners make this place even more phenomenal. The father daughter duo clearly loves what they do and it shines through in their food. They are featured at the Holocaust Museum’s “I’ll have what she’s having” exhibit which goes into the history of Jewish Delicatessens and their importance in America. The lox and bagel here is the highlight of our week!“

“I've tried the turkey and Italian subs. Pretty good and so is the Italian wedding soup but the service is so slow. I go when it is conveniently near where I am but if I had to drive I'd prefer J.P. Graziano for the friend,y service even though it's more expensive.“

“My wife and I love coming to the Onion Roll for brunch! It was such a nice surprise finding this spot in recent years and we've enjoyed each visit subsequently. I always love the spaceman size Mr. Big or North Ave Nosh. Maria and Rafael are stars as well and offer wonderful, friendly service! This is an easy recommendation for anyone in the Austin or Oak Park areas!Kid-friendliness: Very nice kid menu options for a set price!“

“I've always bought Kasia's frozen pierogi's in my local market and honestly did not know that Kasia Deli was the same company. I was delighted to see other products made fresh like the cabbage rolls that I did not hesitate to ask for. They were sold by weight so I bought 2 pounds, 1 IB with no sauce and 1 IB with what seems like a thin layer of tomato sauce. I did ask for extra sauce which I thought I was getting a few ounces but only saw that she gave a 1 oz ($.35) added to my bill. (I suggest you not get extra sauce). I did see a box of kolaczki cookies on top of the deli counter and I thought they were made in-house (they are not). The cookies were doughy and not enough fruit jam. Overall, the food was fantastic and I would come back for more cabbage rolls and fresh pierogi's. Location is convenient and they have limited free parking spots on the side of the building.“

“The best burgers ever. The quality of the beef just melts in your mouth. A cheese burger with a bottle of Joe Tea is the best lunch you’ll ever have! Their other sandwiches are equally great! If you come to the area for a Daytime Sox game, come early and have a lunch at Kathy D’s. Park your car in an approved space at the ball park, and then take a nice 15 minute walk to Kathy D’s through a nice clean residential area. You will not regret it!“

“Most people come to my DM asking me how the love spell work. I will be explaining this; my love spell reunites two people with or without feelings. It creates that feeling between both parties and make them inseparable. It tightens the bond (if there was one in the first place), and it is guaranteed to bring your lover back to you. If you are in love with someone and he / she doesn't reciprocate the gesture, then you can use this to attract that lover into your life. It brings back your ex, and help solve broken marriages. Life is too short to be unhappy. Think about that.happiness and love. NOTE: This is totally harmless and have no side effect whatsoever happiness and love..dr.patrick“
“I gave it four star over three because I like getting breakfast from here as it is super convenient. Although the eggs on the sandwich is some sort of egg patty (on bagel $3.16). I then usually default to chili for lunch---jumbo chili is $3.96. The flatbreads are decent and salads are pretty good. The other reason this gets four stars is that the folks that work down there are great!“

“Great Italian subs and bocconcini (mozzarella balls). Lezza Italian ice is very good. And the chicken parmesan on a bed of mostaccioli is fantastic. It's also one of the few Italian sub shops in the area that will deliver through Uber eats.“
“Yearly tradition that I have to come here and buy the Paczki here. We have had them from other places and they don't taste the same as this place. They always take my order over the phone and have them ready on time. If you haven't tried them you are missing out! These are ??/??“

“This is the place to go for sausage! Make sure you are there super early if you go for ANY holiday!!Not a great place if you have fear of small places or get anxious around a lot of people.Pickles, suarkraut, polish sausage, hot bar, coffee bar, sweets..you name it.“
“I absolutely love Capri! Family owned deli store with lots of Italian goodies. Sweets, cheese, deli counter, freshly made pasta and pasta sauce, 00 flour, EVOO....they have it all! The service is always great and the family is so friendly. They don't accept credit cards. Cash/check only.“
“This store has everything you need! Mrs Lalich has a beautiful selection of home made sausages, hams, salamis and everything you miss if you grew up in Europe! She is a great person- to chat with , very sweet and makes you feel a rockstar because she remembers you, your name and your family members! Beautiful store owner with exceptional people skills! Highly recommend you give it a try!“
“Best smoked sausage in Chicagoland! Almost the same we remember from babcia in Polish countryside back in 1980's when they slaughtered the pig for holidays and sausage was phenomenal? So if owners read it, would it be possible to add more słonina pork fat to your smoked sausage, I think it goes down better and creates this smoked smalec/lard and jelly, that you can literary spread the sausage on the bread. All the best guys and thank you!“
“It's a shame that there are so few of these delis left in the area; there used to be three or four along a couple of miles of Archer down here (including Bobak's), but I guess the demographics no longer supports them. It was a joy to find this place by accident. We go to this tiny place mainly for the beet borscht, bigos (to DIE for!), and pierogis. I smiled when I noticed they actually have wooden barrels of kapusta and pickled cukes wedged into a rear corner. They have all different kinds of fresh pierogi and, for such a small space, a pretty good sausage/meat selection. I know very little about East European sausage names, but it would probably be wise to call ahead if you are looking for a certain kind.“
“4 star rating 9/4/2022Great food without the huge crowds. I think they cater food alot Gerry & I are Polish but do not speak it. Our parents never taught us & it is kind of hard to learn now in our 60's. We love the homemade foods & other store items. Parking is on the side of the building. I love the homemade dumplings but today they did not have them! I lost my voice on a temp basis & just wanted some comfort soft foods. I would have given 5 stars if they had the basics like the dumplings in the fresh hot foods. Cute place. I think we spoke to the new owner who took over some time ago. We are treated real good. Noone is ever rude to us. I will add that if you are Polish or not, no one should act rude to you. Speak to the owner.“

“Looking for a quality meal in a mall food court is challenging. Halsted Street Deli had friendly service. We sampled the chicken noodle soup and found it tasty but not overly salty. It tasted like they made it there not from a can. The panninis were satisfying. We ate it in the food court and they were crunchy, not sure if they would stay that way.“
“Kendall greeted me at th3 door to acknowledge I came in. I told her I wanted a bone in ham. What were my options. 8 pounds was I interested in? I said maybe seven or eight pounds. She went into the refrigerator more than once to show me the size of the ham and the Turkey breast and I appreciate that. I like to see the shape to see how small or big it is, so I can see if it would feed my family. I appreciate all the hard work. I was amazed on how much knowledge she had of the honey baked ham store, plus how much temperature to put in the oven, and how to serve it. I was like wow, and she gave me a piece of paper. That also has information on how to cook and serve ham and turkey. I also noticed that she was always smiling. She really loves her job, She was friendly and polite. I appreciate all that That definitely would encourage me to come back. This was my first time ever coming and she made it very pleasant. Thank you soon much.“
“After Vesecky (bakery) in Berwyn closed several months ago, preceeded by the loss of Bohemian Crystal (restaurant) about a year earlier; we thought it was no longer worth the 3+ hr drive up to the Chicago suburbs to satisfy our Czech food cravings. We were wrong; as finding this little gem was such a fortunate happenstance. The cream of mushroom soap is wonderful, the breaded pork tenderloin excellent, the strudel addictive, the kolacky tasty, etc etc etc... And; they have jaternice, cream sausage, head cheese, etc. all of which is virtually non-existent in mid-north Indiana. This is the type of east-European ethnic deli/eatery that is becoming harder and harder to find; thank goodness we spotted it. If one enjoys Czech cuisine, this is a "must" visit.“
“IT is a small little store and although it is categorized as a liquor store, it is so much more than that. They sell the absolutely best alfajores and for that alone it deserves all the stars in the world. It is reasonably priced and you are supporting a small business. I only had one of their empanadas and although I am not sure how fresh it is, it still beats other places that claim to sell Argentinian empanadas but it is anything but authentic. Here, the owners are very welcoming and they also have a great selection of Argentinian wines.“
“I grew up in Chicago but my grandparents & mom are from Poland. This is the ONLY deli that my grandfather would buy sausages, ham, head cheese etc. from. He took me with him from the time I was a little girl. I now live in Las Vegas and the Polish Deli here buys all their sausages & deli meats from Andy's Deli in Chicago because it's THE BEST! I just put in another order & I can't wait to get it... the delicious smells take me back to my childhood & happy memories of my grandfather & me shopping for delicious sausages, ham, Polish Rye bread & poppy seed cake! I'm just thrilled that Andy's has an online deli to order all these goodies from!!! If you want THE BEST EASTER HAM, order it from Andy's.... Polish ham is lean & delicious & in my opinion, the best tasting ham out there! Check out their impressive website as you don't have to be Polish or speak it to order online... everything is clearly described along with color photos of the product. I wish shipping costs were cheaper but the taste of the sausages etc. is worth it!!! Their prices are actually very reasonable compared to delis I've shopped in town & none of them are as good as Andy's for authentic Polish sausages, hams, bread or bakery goods!“

“What an awesome bagel spot in the neighborhood! The Jalapeño spread is amazing and spicy for people who love their spice. The bagel itself was so tasty, I could honestly have it alone. The staff were so nice and welcoming! I just moved to the neighborhood but will definitely be a spot I come to regularly for bagels and more!“

“I love this place so so much. Best place to get a bagel and hand cut lox. The fish platters are phenomenal too. But I'm mostly leaving a review to respond to the reviewer here who is surprised that a JEWISH deli doesn't carry ham and cheese. It must be painful to be so phenomenally stupidAnyway, if you set your expectations right and don't expect to be served pork or cheese at a Jewish deli (lol) you'll have an amazing experience.“
