Delicious and you could tell they use fresh ingredients.
The Thai tea was perfection! 🙂
And Melissa was the nicest person to host, she was very nice and personal and I will definitely will be back.
The most authentic Thai in the area.“

“Portion sizes were larger than expected, and the crab rangoons are pretty good! I feel the pad thai noodles are lacking in flavor and sauce. I added more fish sauce and lime juice at home and it went from sad to decent but I'm not sure I'll order that again.“

“First and foremost, the staff is hands down the best! Literally the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered! And I’ve tried a few things on the menu and nothing has been a let down. Usually I regret straying from “the usual” but I never do here. The crab rangoon is the best I’ve ever had, the wings surprised me with how tasty and well cooked they were, the basil chicken egg rolls were bomb (so is the basil chicken over rice), and the Khao Soi is a best seller for a reason!“

“Eat Fine is a special place. Not only is their menu extensive and their food incredible, they really care about their community, the service is amazing and they always do whatever they can to help you out. But most importantly, their food is top notch. There isn't anywhere I know of that makes such delicious, fresh tasting Thai food, and I'm so lucky to have it in my neighborhood. You really owe it to yourself to visit.“

“gushing about my take out order - I got the fried rice with yellow curry and fried spring rolls. everyone says it feels like someone’s parents making a home cooked meal for you, and it really does. the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. the man who gave me my order was very sweet and helpful, suggesting ways to combine sauces for best flavor and making sure I got everything I asked for. he also provided me with a huge slice of fresh watermelon, specifically to cool down the “thai heat” and it was delish.“

“Excellent food with the perfect spice level of my Penang curry. Food was fresh, attractive and delicious! Excellent service - our server even let us try a bit of Thai coffee- as neither of us had ever had it. I don’t ever drink coffee and typically don’t like it, but if I were to pick up that habit, I’d drink that stuff for sure-lol! Anna the owner checked in on us and was very attentive to all the guests. I highly recommend this place- and it’s byob!“

“We had an absolutely perfect Monday night dinner for two. Getting a reservation was easy and we felt immediately welcomed. Kanlaya offers an intimate and comfortable setting with friendly, personable service from the owner (and chef) herself. Her love and care is very palpable and helped set the tone for a wonderful dining experience.
The food was perfect: well balanced and delicately flavorful with deceptively large portions and beautiful presentation. I've had a fair amount of Thai food over the years and this is among the absolute best. My only regret was not being able to try everything that caught my eye the first time around.
Very highly recommended.“

“Delicious and fresh Thai food that can’t be beat! The crab Rangoons are the best around, the Real Thai roll was so fresh and absolutely mouth watering delicious! I always get pad Thai and it’s truly one of the best I’ve had! And the Tiger Cries entree is phenomenal!“

“Ordered the big pad Thai and the Blackhawk sushi roll. They had the food ready within 15m. It was delicious! The pad Thai is some of the best I’ve had in a while. And the sushi was fresh and flavorful, nicely rolled. Really happy with the quality and service! Definitely want to keep trying more on the menu!“

“If you love ginger and a crispy noodle, Penny's Noodle Shop has the best Lad Nar from the city to the burbs. Nothing else like it. The light sauce has ginger, carrots and broccoli and is consistently amazing! Best when dining in but take out good too. Take noodles on the side for takeout and mix it up at home. Delicious every time.“

“Ordered delivery for the first time thru Uber eats and got the pork blood soup, moo krob, and fermented sausage omelette.
I was slightly disappointed at the portion size of the moo krob and fermented sausage omelette as these were $15-16 dishes and did not include any rice. It turns out that their Thai menu are side dishes that are best with congee, a specialty. I think if you dine in, this is better explained but as someone who looked through their website and ubereats menu, I did not see this at all. I didn’t realize that I was supposed to order the congee until after I looked up Instagram reels explaining Me Dee’s Thai menu. I think more menu pictures or explaining that it doesn’t come with anything else in the food descriptions would be helpful.
The pieces of fermented sausage in the omelette were very little in size and quantity. I was hoping to be able to experience the flavors a bit more so next time I’ll just get the fermented sausage on its own. The omelette itself was tasty.
The pork blood soup is a good portion and very meaty with pork blood, pork belly (the same that they use for moo krob), ground pork, and pork liver I believe. Per uber eats it’s a popular order.
I was hoping to experience authentic Thai flavors/uncommon Thai dishes as pad thai is very common in Chicago. However, disappointed at the cost and portion sizes. Pictures or explanations on the online third party menus would’ve been very helpful. I also had a papaya salad craving and surprisingly did not see it on the menu (or maybe I missed it idk). I’ll give it another shot in the future.“

“The four of us had a great time at this local gem. We had curry with rice, drunken noodles, and two orders of “chef’s gone crazy”—the chef cooked whatever he wanted for us and they were both pleasant surprises! Everything was delicious, and I have to say that their 3/5 spice level is a pretty solid 3/5. You could definitely taste the spiciness, but it wasn’t the main star of the show. If you like your food spicy, I’d say even go higher.“

I went in and no “hi” or “ how are you ?” Just right away “23.50! HOW YOU PAY?” I said Apple Pay she said “23.50 don’t forgot tip okay?” Obviously I didn’t tip but chicken parang curry was good . Crab Rangoon was skimpy .“

“I was suprised with how empty the restaurant was considering how absolutely amazing my meal was. Had karee curry and it was absolutely delicious and came with sweet potato which I really appreciated and hadn’t had in a curry before. Service was extremely friendly, restaurant was very clean, I would absolutely return again
Prices were very fair for the portion size.“

“We've had asianos 2x so far in the year we've lived here and this far our favorite Asian food close to Brookfield. Sushi was affordable and decent. Drunken noodles were to spicy for me but my husband loved them (I chose option 2 thinking happy medium he wanted spicer) and kids tangy chicken was very yummy. Only issue we had wasn't food at all Asianos uses Uber delivery and they delivered to the wrong house.“

“It was the March of the slow melt in River Grove, when the last stubborn ice clung to the curbs like a defeated army refusing to surrender, and the wind off the lake still carried the bite of winter even as the sun began its tentative return, that the craving struck me deep and unanswerable. The Outback carried me south through the familiar arteries of the Northwest Side—past the shuttered factories and the glow of corner bars—until I reached Silli Kori on Division Street, a small brick outpost glowing warm against the gray afternoon, its windows fogged with the breath of cooking and the promise of something older than memory.
I stepped inside and the air wrapped around me thick with lemongrass, galangal, and the faint smoke of charred chilies, a scent that rose like incense in a forgotten temple. The server brought the khao soi without ceremony: a deep bowl of golden curry broth, rich and unctuous, coconut milk tempered by the slow fire of turmeric and red paste, noodles coiled beneath like the roots of some ancient banyan. Tender chicken sank into the liquid heat and gave itself up willingly; crispy egg noodles rose above the surface in defiant golden tufts, half submerged, half defiant, catching the broth in their strands so that every bite was at once soft surrender and sharp crunch. The pickled mustard greens offered their tart bite, the shallots their quiet sting, the lime a sudden bright slash across the richness, and the chili oil—oh, the chili oil—floated in lazy red rings, promising fire without ever overwhelming the peace beneath.
I ate slowly, deliberately, the spoon moving through the broth like a blade through silk, and felt the cold that had lodged in my bones since January begin its long retreat. Each mouthful was a quiet insurrection against the gray days: the curry warm as a hearth fire in a northern hall, the noodles yielding yet substantial, the whole bowl carrying the weight of northern Thai hills and the slow simmer of patience. It was good—more than good; it was resolute, life-affirming, the kind of dish that makes a man believe the thaw will hold this time, that spring might actually arrive before the next polar vortex descends.
The Thai iced tea came alongside, poured over ice in a tall glass, orange-gold and sweetened just enough to cut the spice without cloying, condensed milk swirling lazy clouds through the amber like cream in old whiskey. I drank it slow, letting the sweetness linger on the tongue while the khao soi’s heat still bloomed in the throat, and for a moment the city outside—the traffic on Milwaukee, the salt-streaked cars, the endless gray—fell away, and there was only the bowl, the glass, the quiet hum of the restaurant, and the small, stubborn triumph of a meal well taken.
I have not yet returned to plunder the rest of the menu—the green papaya salad that must sing with lime and peanuts, the drunken noodles that promise fire and basil, the mango sticky rice that waits like treasure at the end of a long voyage—but the khao soi stands as covenant between cook and cold, a steaming shield against the siege of Chicago’s reluctant spring, the steadfast companion a man hungers for when the wind still howls and the body demands more than mere sustenance.
Ten stars out of five, though the heavens are miserly with such reckonings. I would sup it at the gates of Minas Tirith itself and fear no shadow on the long ride back to River Grove.

“I came here on a Thursday night. I had the basil shrimp with vermicelli noodles. It was a 10/10 across the board! The only difference is it could use a little more flavor (for my taste personally) so I added some type of red spicy sauce and it was even better! I also tried their Thai iced tea for the first time which was refreshing. I love how lowkey the restaurant is. It’s very small, but still an intimate setting for a date or family. Our waitress was very attentive, while still being productive. She made an error on a friend of mine’s card and she quickly corrected the error before we left the restaurant. The restaurant gives me a homey feel & I appreciate my entire experience. I would definitely come back here! Especially with the homemade food for a steal!“
