“2nd time I've ordered from Roseland for delivery, wait over an hour then call the store to find out there was a mix up and no pizza is coming. First the manager told me he has no drivers to deliver a new one. Then, all of a sudden, he has a driver if I'll pay more money. The Gareto family should be ashamed of how this franchisee is shaking down and mistreating Beggars customers and ruining their reputation. There's lots of food choices out there who respect their customers. I'm going to spend my money with one of them, not Beggars.“

“This review was about to never happen but I must share this experience… I ordered at 11:40pm or so late night. Unfortunately one of my drivers stole my order ! I had driver after driver cancelling without telling me what is going on. I waited eventually I contacted the restaurant after being notified the order had vanished. Long story short SHANIYAH saved the day she was professional and uplifting in an other what tragic situation she offered to remake the order due to it being stolen and when it arrived it tasted worth every penny. It’s good to know good service can exist even almost at midnight when it seems non existent in most places thank you again Shaniyah and crew.“

“We have been using this location for our school lunches for a few years and appreciate how reliable, clean and organized this restaurant is, especially working with the manager Linda. We recently encounter an issue with a different restaurant where our lunches wouldn't be fulfilled. We were in a major panic. I called Linda immediately and she was able to take our order. “We got lunch last week and it was very good.
The cod sandwich was crispy, flaky & fresh with a nice soft roll. Everyone loved the beef sandwich and burgers. Some weren't crazy about the flavor of the sauce on the Spicy AF burger but said the actual burger was delicious (others did like the sauce- don't knock it till you try it). Sides & service were also great. We will return for sure. Only got a pic of the fish.“

“Its been decades since I had a breaded steak sandwich. To give you perspective, last time I had a breaded steak sandwich was in early 1990s when there was a Ricobenes on Lake Street in The Loop, at street level, downstairs from a Nevada Bob’s. If you know about this, then you are Gen X!!

This place was recommended by a close friend and it was fantastic!!! It’s a solid 4.6⭐️s!!

From what I recall, this breaded steak sandwich is just about as tasty as I have had since Ricobenes. Tony’s is excellent and messy as I have expected. Its very filling and well worth the price.

Also tried their italian beef, which was very good indeed. Balanced spices and saltiness was all there!!! But I do have my favorites that I lean on when I really need a fixin!!! But this was very good nonetheless.

This neighborhood joint is small and has limited seating, but the friendly staff made the dine-in meal a pleasant experience, albeit a bit confined. Most patrons order take-away. Will try to make it out again next time I am in the Midway area.“

The Gyro did have a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste personally, but it was good overall. The star of the show, however, was the BBQ Tips. They were very good flavor wise, and I liked the texture, but my best friend felt that the texture was not agreeable; they were very chewy, so it's mostly just a personal preference. “This place is so nostalgic. It reminds me of a special time in my life. When I was a kid, my mom would take me shopping near Roosevelt & Halsted Street in Chicago. I could smell burgers, polishes, pork chops, and grilled onions for miles. My mouth would be drooling, and I couldn't wait until mom finished her shopping. This place has good food. However, I am not fond of their French fries. They taste as if they are processed with a light breading and salt. Other locations still take the time to make hand cut fries.“

I ordered it without the whipped cream and powdered sugar and it wasn't overly sweet, it was perfect for me. The coffee was also very good and I'm picky about my coffee. They also offer freshly squeezed OJ. Their tater tots were perfectly crispy and so were their homemade chips. I will definitely visit this place again. I visited on a Friday morning so it wasn't very crowded but they had a few people there. I'm assuming weekends get busy so I would go there early.
