“I come to the oak Lawn establishment quite often, but haven't been there in a while due to work commitments . I was in last week and as usual, I ordered with Bill at the cash register. He jokes with me as he knows what I like, but more importantly, he was genuinely concerned that I was ok because he hadn't seen me in some time. I always get 2 shack burgers, and a drink. He calls me tht best dressed man in the place as I still get dressed in a suit everyday to go into the office. Great sense of humor.“

“We really enjoy the food plus the prices are very reasniable . We have tried almost everything on the menu and have enjoyed it all. Blake is an excellent bartender and host who makes you feel at home. He has a friendly personality and always has a smile on his face. Megan is a wonderful waitress who is friendly and outgoing. Best of all she makes us feel special because she always remembers what we like best. The owner (Roger) is a great person and always greets us with a big smile. “The food here was excellent! Fresh, generous portions, my pumpkin spice pancakes were fantastic! I love pumpkin pie so I gave these a try. I sampled eggs benedict, the BLT and their soup from my guests at the table, all good also. I will definitely be going back to try other delicious items on their menu.“

“The food was great. Love the onion rings. The host on the other hand, told my sister that we had to move to a different seating because the seat we was sitting at originally is for more than two people. So we moved to a different seat. Two caucasian lady come in and sit at the same table we moved from and nothing at all was said to them. We later was told that we can seat ourselves, which makes this situation even more confusing. Why did the male host ask us to switch our seat???? Food: 5/5 | Service: 2/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5“

“It is a beautiful venue that I have had many champagne brunches at for the past 20 years. The food and service is great. I knock a star because the gratuity is gigantic. On top of that the waitress was demanding for a large cash only tip. I understand policies and working to provide for your family. What I don’t understand is since when are the workers allowed to think that they are entitled to your bank account?! When you act like that you don’t get any tip from me. Usually, I have exceptional service and tip. Maybe attitudes are why the gratuity is automatically sky high these days.“

“Did a staycation for NYE and had brunch at South Side Social. The mimosas weren't bad and the buffet was somewhat limited. I want to visit again because their lunch/dinner meal has some appeal. They provide the food for the bar and the pizza and Buffalo shrimp were very good! We had extra cheese on the pizza but it wasn't necessary as the toppings were hearty and tasty. No food pics this time but I do want to revisit.“
