“I’m been coming to Half Sour for 2.5 years now. The food has never disappointed. They have NEW specials that rotate every 2-3 weeks (sometimes each week) and it’s always nice coming and trying something new because their cooks are great. The people are great, including one of the owners… Jessie. Gracie is always nice and candid, love it! They have random comedy shows and different activities going on and the ambience is always nice - music is cultured - they switch between genres and vibes. Genuinely a great place to live close to! And no wait time usually - you just seat yourself wherever. Fun fact I had my first date ever with my boyfriend here and we still come years later. Try it out.

“Nice bar & open late! Had a bad day with a missed connecting flight. Hotel bars charge out the wazoo so went here instead. Felt welcome and cared for by the bar tender (Emily?) great deal and good ambiance. Would return if I’m ever back!“

“My partner and I recently visited Chicago and The Office was one of the highlights for us.
Ryan was our server and was super personable, and chatted with us all through the evening.
The drinks were great, and the bartender listened to my picky demands for a drink and came through with an amazing drink 🤣
Highly recommend the Basque Cheesecake and the Manhattan.
Ask Ryan for Chicago recommendations, you won’t regret it!

(Our one issue was the 20% “gratuity” but not gratuity on the receipt. Management really should change this up. We ended up paying 45% in gratuity because we wanted to make sure Ryan got the tip he deserved plus the mandatory 20%. The way it’s worded on the receipt feels deceptive and probably leaves waiters without a tip often. Make the drinks $5 more, happy to pay that vs this fee).“

“Great bar with cool atmosphere and drinks. Dark Shadows was playing on the tv. The Electric Funeral cocktail is very tropical but I can’t wait to have the drink in the viper snake glass. Not sure but I think you can buy the glass. Bridgeport favorite Old Style and Malort has its own electric sign. It’s small and gets very crowded on the weekends but Thursday night was very chill so this will be my go to after eating at the Ramova during the week.“

“Fun pre dinner drink spot in the heart of Fulton market. A little tricky to find so make sure you enter SoHo house from the far right entrance and make your way up the staircase to your right. Then left through the saloon style doors into this tiny bar. Fun atmosphere with a ton of photos and memorabilia on the walls. Be warned there is only seating for about 40 people and it starts to fill up around 6:30. Odd selection of drinks on draft (twisted tea??) and Guinness not served in a Guinness glass but the apricot cocktail was awesome. A little pricey but so is everything in Fulton. Good stop for a date night.“
