“I’m been coming to Half Sour for 2.5 years now. The food has never disappointed. They have NEW specials that rotate every 2-3 weeks (sometimes each week) and it’s always nice coming and trying something new because their cooks are great. The people are great, including one of the owners… Jessie. Gracie is always nice and candid, love it! They have random comedy shows and different activities going on and the ambience is always nice - music is cultured - they switch between genres and vibes. Genuinely a great place to live close to! And no wait time usually - you just seat yourself wherever. Fun fact I had my first date ever with my boyfriend here and we still come years later. Try it out.

“Great bar with cool atmosphere and drinks. Dark Shadows was playing on the tv. The Electric Funeral cocktail is very tropical but I can’t wait to have the drink in the viper snake glass. Not sure but I think you can buy the glass. Bridgeport favorite Old Style and Malort has its own electric sign. It’s small and gets very crowded on the weekends but Thursday night was very chill so this will be my go to after eating at the Ramova during the week.“

We put our name in at 5pm on a Saturday night and to our surprise, we were seated at 5:30 despite being told to expect an hour wait. The restaurant itself has a really cool vintage vibe, but the main attraction is the long list of affordable, handcrafted cocktails! For me, the standouts were the breakfast martini and the milk punch. We also ordered their homemade chips and a few different dips to try—which I absolutely recommend. The chips were so thin and crispy which pairs beautifully with the rich and creamy dips. Finally, we ordered their roasted chicken sandwich which was flavorful and filling but nothing too special.“

“Used Open Table to find a spot to watch the Michigan Football game (Go Blue). They had an open table and told us which TVs that the game on so we were all good. Place was full and lively. No worries about getting food or drinks timely. Food came out 10 minutes after ordering. Music during commercials was a nice touch. Then game sounds when the commercials ended. “Hands down the best hotel experience I’ve had thus far in life. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Chicago now! I will be sure to book here next time I’m downtown. I was deeply touched that she carried my luggage out because the bellman was away briefly.
