“The food. The menu is a dinky piece of laminated paper. It just says things like “Reuben”. What it doesn’t say: rumor has it the Tavern has acquired the services of a professional chef who formerly worked in the Signature Restaurant / 95th floor Hancock building, and he’s running things here like a five star Michelin. When I got the Reuben, it didn’t just look good. It looked “plated”. Every fry perfectly fried and placed. I don’t even like Reubens that much but this one was amazing. LOOK AT IT. ITS A MASTAPIECE. savory corned beef and left the memory of perfectly buttered rye on my palate. WHAT IS THIS PLACE !?!“
“Their staff is impeccable! They're thorough, have a vast knowledge of the menu, and always provide speedy service! The atmosphere is that of a normal bar and grill, but Chili's features fajitas, 'ritas, and burgers as their specialty items! Not to mention, they have THEEE BEST, SEEMINGLY AIRILY CRISP* chicken crispers as well, a customer fav, especially when tossed in their Honey Chipotle or Nashville Hot sauce! And the best part, their Happy Hour runs every day M-F 3pm-6pm if I'm not mistaken, but I'm sure that Saturdays and Sundays are HAPPY HOUR all day long!!!Vegetarian options: Ask your server about vegetarian or vegan options.Dietary restrictions: Ask your server about vegetarian or vegan options, as well as any dietary restrictions including but not limited to: lactose intolerance, any allergies to peanuts or otherwise, or any foods that may give the customer adverse side effects upon eating them -- such as jalapeños or marinara sauce, etc.Parking: Park on the North or the South side of the building, or for convenience you may drop your party off in front or conveniently give your disabled/elderly loved one a shorter walk to the door by utilizing the groove in the front of the building out of the way of the street -- you can even watch them safely come inside and be greeted by one of the wonderful men or women that are paid to do so!Kid-friendliness: Chili's has an extensive kids menu with various choices of sides, mimicking the adult menu in a mini version. They even offer the option to add an addtl side for only $1.00!Best part: they have MINI CHOCOLATE MOLTEN CAKES FOR LESS THAN $4 ON THE KIDS MENU, W/PURCHASE OF A KID'S MEAL!Wheelchair accessibility: No problem! Let the greeter at the door know what accomodations you need for comfort while dining (quiet, close to door, near bar, booster/highchair seats, near bathroom, near emergency exit, closer to Draft Beer sign, etc.), and to the best of Chili's ability,“
“Our server Santana was great, we were there for brunch and we were looking forward to some hot coffee (which they do not serve), but Santana made us some hot coffee even though it was not on the menu to welcome us. He was great in making sure that we had everything! Would go back just to have him as a server again, the food was delicious, maybe they could include hot coffee on their menu in the future.“
“A Chicago institution. If you don't like Maria's then you probably don't like Chicago. That's fine, but why u here? Maria's is a great place to chill with a cold one. They don't have a huge tap list, but they do have a nicely curated mix of local brews. They also have old standbys like Old Style and PBR. Even on a Sunday afternoon they had good music playing. Maria's feels like home. Thats Chicago.“
“Chef! Don't ever take the short rib gnocchi off the menu! Great food and fresh pasta made daily , all served by a Fabulous wait staff! Many dedicated customers. Read these reviews! I didn't want to review because now it will be harder to get a table. They have an outdoor area in back when it's warmer.. so don't be deceived by it's size. Be sure to make a reservation! Enjoy a great dinner and drinks here and tip the staff well!Almost forgot...best calamari appetizer...Ever!Parking: Street parking not too bad. In the evening some surrounding businesses are closed. Besides, you'll probably want to walk off that cheesecake!“
“We had my daughter’s baby shower today and everything was amazing! Our servers Gregory and Kosta were great! They attended to all our needs. The room we had the shower in was set up beautifully! The food was delicious as everyone said it would be that had their events there. My family had recommended Kefi as so do I for your special events. Thank you to everyone at Kefi for making it a very Special day for us!!“
“We headed over to Bridgeport to grab some tacos. I ordered delivery from here before but never been to the actual location. I love the outdoor seating spaces that they have.. decked out with lights and a fire pit that smelled so good! When you go inside, they have a lot of throwback decor, which I always love. The cashier was so patient with us and took time to answer our questions as my sister searched to find something that suited her dietary restrictions. It took us a while to make some decisions about what to eat, but ultimately, I had a fish taco and a brisket taco. The fish was just okay.. your typical fried cod with some basic toppings. The brisket was amazing! Their handmade corn shells were so good and fresh . The meat was tender and very well seasoned. My sister had the shrimp taco, which she enjoyed, and also chips and guac. They have various flavors of margaritas and other libations. It's a great place to go for a quick bite, especially if the weather allows you to sit outside. I'll definitely be back!“
“It consistently remains an excellent spot for enjoying drinks, whether with family or friends, prior to or following Sox games. As one of the last original bars in Bridgeport, it holds historical significance and promises many more years of success and enjoyment to come. A must-visit spot in Bridgeport's rich history.“
“I go here 2-3 times a week to sing, drink and mingle with every customer. Everyone talks to you and the staff is the greatest line up anywhere. They love their customers and they like to have fun, as I have seen them dance to karaoke or just being silly with each other. The front deck is amazing and I can't wait for the fun meals once the kitchen is finished. I used to make this a once a year place, but now it is a must stop everytime if out for drinks. Thank you Eileen, Theresa, Karen, Darla and Tracy for making me feel welcome.“
“The place was NOT what you'd expect from the outside. It's a VERY CLEAN, newly decorated bar/pub table area. The food was above average! We had mushroom appetizers and burgers and they were both cooked to perfection and the fries were delicious. But what's not to love about WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO are FRIENDLY AND KIND THAT SERVES YOU. ANN was the bartender/ waitress and she was one of the nicest people we've met in a long time. Fun conversation, feel like I've known her forever!! Everything WAS GREAT and I've been a total "Karen" lately because of so many bad places!! PUB FOOD AT IT'S BEST, a diamond in the rough!! Give it a try!!!“
“Calling this place a "dive-bar" is a disservice. It's a family run neighborhood bar with the works. Good music (from an awesome preloaded jukebox), a fair selection of beer, wines, and spirits, friendly and quick service, and a very laid back and welcoming atmosphere. The mood definitely gets more upbeat and rowdy(in a good way) when there are things like bingo (Stingo) or live music performances going on, but even when those aren't happening, you can bet there's an interesting film being played on their TV. The owner Steve runs a tight ship, and it shows. I urge anyone passing by or new to the area to come grab a beer on a weekend or weekday night (except Tuesdays because I don't think they're open those days). You're guaranteed to run into the colorful characters that make up the Bridgeport community. I live in the Midway area, and the drive to get here is more than worth the trip. Stop by, grab a beer, order some Japanese food from next door (or tacos across the street) and start a conversation. You'll be hooked immediately and won't regret it ✨“
“Met my 3 girl cousins + spouses for the Holidays menu online was intriguing and did not disappoint! Our only mistake was going too early 11:00am. It be way better for dinner. The potato pancakes were hot and crispy. The stuffed cabbage had a tasty mushroom gravy. The goulash soup was piping hot. Hot borsch with dumplings was yummy. Service was good too. We will be back!“
“Amazing little bar tucked behind Midway airport. Best Polish food around! Pierogis are to die for! Goulash soup, potato pancakes,& more! They have a Polish sampler platter that has a taste of everything you could want!! Go! Eat! Enjoy!!“
“Since moving to Cicero in 2020 this has been our spot. Food is always on point, service is super friendly and they have an outdoor patio that we can bring our pup pup.Vegetarian options: There's always something vegan or vegetarian friendly.“
“So Good! Vast wine and beer selection, and great intimate atmosphere. I’ve gone by myself and with others, a blast every time. The toffee cake is so damn good, it’s outrageous. Mushroom flatbread is delicious too.*they rotate the wine selection; so if you have a favorite on the menu, write it down for your notes“
“I would highly recommend fourteensixteen as it is by far the best restaurant in lagrange. The staff are amazing, the vibes are on point, and the location itself presents itself well. I got the pistachio covered lamb rack when I last went, and it was phenomenal. The dish held up well, the lamb was moist, and the sauces complimented the lamb perfectly. I also had the mango cheesecake, and I can still remember how perfect the cheesecake was. It was a perfect amount of cheesecake flavor to mango flavor. I would highly highly recommend this restaurant as I have yet to see a better one in the surrounding area.“
“If you love a local dive bar, where the people know you, the owner's awesome, & the drinks are stiff. Look no further! always inviting & drinks are good and inexpressive. The bartenders are attentive. The owner is hands on & personable. If your in Posen, stop by this little piece of “
“Stopped in with my sister (missed a bus had to wait) and I am so glad we did. We caught the last hour of Happy Hour and tried the wings... Amazing and the sauces served on the side is just a great idea. I was able to try them all. Not a bad one in the bunch. Will be back.“
“Ordered a small thin crust from uber eats juss being lazy & not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Pizza sauce is very tasty, wish I had ordered it on the side for dipping my pizza in. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and it was cooked Just how I like it. I will definitely order from here again. The only thing I didn't like was that my pizza wasn't sealed in any type of way to prevent it from being tampered with while it was being delivered. Maybe perhaps some stickers to prevent the box from being open, or put the pizza in a paper bag then staple it up at the end. Otherwise very good pizza.“
“Amazing sports bar! Eric was our “best” bartender with his amazing hospitality and continuous conversation. He was on top of his game with making sure we were taken care of. He truly cared about the conversations he had with us and his guests. The food was great quality and served appropriately. Only if all owners/bartenders could be like Eric, life would be great!“
“The menu is rather limited and missing many staple dishes of Podhale - Baranina, Kwasnica, Oscypek, Smalec, Pstrag or Bryndza... Overall all not bad, but providing this is Chicagoland area with all the access to Polish foods, the culinary selections on your menu could be so much more specialized and refined.“
“Local bar that we walked to to get a few drinks on st Patrick's day. The specials were nice but we ended up getting some Guinness and car bombs. I got to try malort for the first time (not really a fan) prices were fine. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Wasn't too crowded. Had video poker inside which is something I'm not used to due to not being from the Midwest. I'd swing by and get some drinks here again“
“I don't like to leave a review of a place I've been to only once. Needless to say, I have been to The Works Tavern a few times and it's some of the best food in Chicago, especially on the south side. Mike is a culinary expert and my last visit proved it. I legitimately had the best Philly Cheesesteak I've ever had. The steak was juicy, the bread was soft and the cheese was super cheesy (10/10).The food is always fresh, the beer is always cold and my kids love the pizza! On our last visit, we ordered the fried zucchini, a pepperoni pizza, wings, and the Philly cheesesteak. Everything was delicious and we washed it down with $3 Pacifico beers. Can't beat that.“
“We had a great time here. The cocktail menu was different and has Indian touch to various standard American fare.Portions were good sized and spice levels are mild. We had to specify “spicy” to get spice level to a “normal” level. They have decent vegetarian choices. But I wish they had some creative choices for veg entrees too“
“The food at Saban's can't be beat. We had the pork chops. They were cooked to perfection, delicious, beautiful presentation, plentiful amounts enough for another meal. The service was great. And the prices are like going back in time. I seriously don't know why anyone would want to eat any place else.“
“The place is nice been going into the place here and there and everytime did not disappoint. The bartenders are very nice and cool, eager to play pool and vibe to make the time well spent. Supporting a female owned bar it's awesome to support.“
“I love this bar so much I started coming here with my friend Liz who works here and it's such a good vibe. No drama good music good drinks and amazing people. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BAR come down to tio Juan's for a good time and events“
“I came to this place with my wife because we enjoy having a few cheap drinks and trying our luck with the slots. Fortunately I won $75 from a $20, would have been the $120 but I pushed my luck. Nevertheless Windsor Café had great friendly service, cheap drinks, and a clean & sanitary establishment for people to kick back and have a great time!“
“5 stars for HECTOR in Western Springs!!!Hands down this was the absolute best dining experience I’ve ever had! While the food was delicious and the overall ambiance and decor of the restaurant was cozy, it was our server that made this dining experience over the top, great! HECTOR, you are a gem, a diamond! You have an absolutely charming personality and made my mother in law’s birthday dinner an experience to remember! From your spot on suggestions, to your lovely rendition of “Happy Birthday”, to the funny banter, our whole family left talking about how wonderful you were! We will be back and we will be sure to come when you are serving! Thank you Hector!!!“
“This is my favorite bar in Berwyn. The owners are delightful, and the staff is exceptional. The drinks are reasonably priced and delicious, and their outdoor patio is perfect for all seasons with its heat lamps, games, and friendly atmosphere. Additionally, you're welcome to bring in your own food from one of the fantastic restaurants in the neighborhood.“
“First time hereFood was excellent ??highly recommend ?We stayed for a few drinks and played the slots.. ? ?didn't win but had funI would definitely go back for the food?I Got the Italian beef it was one of the best I ever had ?I love the fact that they pay tribute to the local high school??(I also went to that high school? )Also I'd like to point out the restrooms, when I say they were the nicest and cleanest restrooms I have EVER been in in a tavern I promise you they were!Definitely a local barHad a good timeSorry no photos the food looked so good and I was starving so we dug right in but it was great!Additional parking in back“
“I came to a party today and I was so excited to see Michelle. She’s a veteran she’s the best bartender she’s happy all the time she’s willing to help any anybody with anything she runs around like a maniac best day ever I recommend this this bar to everybody.“
“It's a small place with lots of big personalities. Dream is a great bar star and pours a mean drink. Prices are economical and you feel safe there. They scan everyone's ID which I think is a Posen requirement but I like it so if anything occurs, you know who was there. They have karaoke on Tuesdays and the owner has complimentary smoked wings and salad for patrons.“
“Had a wonderful lunch for a monthly retired teacher group. Joe and Vicki gave us the room in the back. Our meals were fantastic and Paige, our server, was wonderful! We were celebrating a 70th birthday and we were treated to several amazing desserts. The service was above and beyond our expectations. We booked our Christmas party here in December.“
“Stumbled on the polish food buffet today. So so good. The owner is right here and everything is home made. The beef barley soup was outrageously delicious. The potato pancake was very flavorful. The chicken breast amazing. Cabbage & Sausage delicious. Everything was great!“
“This is not your typical ‘bar food’. Everything we have tried there is higher quality Restaurant Food. Bartenders … especially Artie and Kristy are attentive, efficient and fun ! The 0wner, Tommy is usually hanging around and is friendly and accommodating. Sometimes due to allergies I have to alter the menu a little and he doesn’t hesitate to switch things around a little… Do yourself a favor… stop in for a great meal and enjoy a friendly atmosphere.“
“We eat here weekly. The pizza is the best in the Southland. The bar has a "Cheers" vibe where all are welcome. Pizza is half off on Tuesday and every one in town knows that's the best dinner option! Don't take my word for it, you really must try it out!“
“Very nice clean bar, love the warm welcoming feel and drink options. They have open mic every third Friday of the month. We really enjoy this neighborhood bar. Great bar service. Great staff, Daren and Neda are fantastic! They also have pizza from Waterworks! They have gaming machines, I like to play a few and have been lucky! If your a Bloody Mary drinker they make a good one.. ?“
“Classic old cash dive bar with slots, darts and an ATM to pay for your drinks. Live music, check schedule, food is slim Pickens, but occasionally they bring in food for customers. They do have frozen za for a quick bite along with other snacks year round. Best deal offered is they will buy your first drink. The owner will stock Malort if you drink it, I believe I drank the last bottle ?. Check this place out when you're out cruising 159th on the Southside, in Oak Forest, IL.Parking: Watch out for us smokers.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, shouldn't have any issue maneuvering“
“Was doing a little bar hopping and found this hidden gem. They have pool, slots, darts and Touch Tunes for music which worked for us. Service was friendly and the prices were good too. Didn't serve any wine though so I had to swich up my drinks. All in all, a nice spot!“
“Great Chicago Tavern. Old Style on tap. Malort behind the counter(ant your own risk, lol). Owner is awesome. Went here because growing up as a kid in Chicago I’ve been to taverns with the old man but never been to one as an adult. Would definitely go back here again.“
“Staff was more than helpful and friendly especially since I know I tend to ask questions others do not but I also always do things 100% if I'm doing it otherwise forced might be 20% that ends up like most ppls good enough >80% Prices for tables was surprisingly reasonable per hour since I was expecting it to have doubled since Y2K plus there's a bar attached for those that are not playing on full size tables and teaching 9 ball w 100% tournament rules to 1st timer, was surprised that they have a league but they use bar sized tables not sure if that's something new or two cater to the generation now vs the Minnesota Fats era playersHaving run/owned a large successful event promotion company w sold out shows at top Chicago venues and nightclubs dealing with atmosphere and alcohol along with that guy is a learned skill, though it is a free country, I'd rather not have had that guy who doesnt wanna go home, come bother us to play, esp mid game w $ per ball in play, then disappear >30 mins when he wanted to break (got a 9ball win in against his much more lvl headed younger associate after saying its gonna be a while I'm guessing you just wanna play 9 if ur buddy's a talker)? That if I owned it I'd have said something to him tgfo to his table or to myself on the side at least just to read if I might have problems w the guy later and make sure the broke regular isn't scaring new biz away, based on my dress and demener, plus I had called a cpl hrs earlier w lots of ?'s since last min idea to take coworker to get their mind off things n off the phone, but asked about buying a cue if they sold them, when I got there also fully knowing markup would be high but they didn't have ne premade ones so just grabbed a glove since don't have chalk/powderYou could bring food and hydration powder just not my own hand powder (A negitive cuz I have hyperhydrosis but only 1.8% of population has it mostly less severe, so I get it except if I'm going in a real tournament). That guy had the kid not decide he was gonna go back to his place w him alone and trust he'll get back home, when he has no license or way to Uber even, liked it also but dude was a nuisance, esp as he's trying to stream himself (InfoSec gtf outta my face w it or if it breaks don't get mad at me, IL is still 2 party consent) while trying to flow, if it even deserves that word, from 40yr guy mad after finally getting that I'm not 1/2 his age bro, rather older like when he 1st told me he's 2x, like ok u might be a creep then too if that's impt to say 1st, minus that then having to remind coworker/him to clean their stuff by doing it myself n telling they followed the heard but took 30mins n a cpl cues almost left but took balls back cleaned up already, like he's a grown kid/adult idc it's his decesion, even though 1/2 the reason to take him out was to keep him out of trouble n give run down on what many exp/seen w kids and custody esp being 1st time and naive to women n think she isn't out there or a risk when family is personal injury attorney n u got some dui crash on record still a cpl ppl fig'd a few guys w varied exp might help get it into his head, but yea w/e place was good, full size tables say 8/10 or as expected, atmosphere fine w 1 exception if you drink or break your sealMake sure they don't put you in the corner the furthest from the bar and restrooms if you plan to use the bar a bit or got runs?Pretty sure it goes un-noticed by most, but not great for business either since they were spending more time walking to the bar and bathroom then playing and could have spent more as I was gonna get a pizza vs the way overpriced vending machine junk also far enough I didn't go back to it.Unsure about their tournaments/league, but the guy I played 9 ball w/ waiting for the other 2 had said he goes on day off from open till 6 or so cuz its $10 till that time vs by the hr which is a great price to get ur game up n competition.“
“Very cool.. drinks were excellent, so were the nachos!! Service was very good, especially since the girl was handling the bar and the tables with a lot of patience and ease. The reason for not giving 5 stars... prices were slightly more than what was on board and menu. Make sure you pay attention to tip, it's automatically added for 4 or more. Will be back.“
“Very cool environment, just went there before Christmas with work buddies. Tara was our bartender, she was a great time & took care of all our needs. Annie was another bartender there that was super social & absolutely awesome to talk to. I'd highly recommend this place for a great social experience & high energy good time!“
“Very welcoming to non-regulars. We're from out of state for a conference and were looking for a neighborhood bar. Perfect. Staff are quick and very friendly! They even put our MN Wild on TV for us even though 3 Chicago teams are playing tonight. If you're looking for a down home bar, this is a great place!! Didn't eat here but food looks good!“
“This is a nice restaurant. Little out dated on the decor and the windows are very drafty during the winter time, air pours in them so you don't want to sit next to them if you want to stay warm. But they have really good soup. I had stuffed pepper soup and it was very yummy. Wish I got a whole bowl instead of a cup. The waitress was very friendly.“
“Great place to sit down and have a few cocktails with friends or family. People are friendly and great to have conversations with. Bartenders give good service, nice to chat with and give good advice......just joking on that part. But all in all, great neighborhood sports bar.“
“Nice little bar, friendly bartender, nice people, alot of fun, cool place. My 1 and only complaint was I was sitting at a machine which was directly next to the mens bathroom and it stayed open the whole time while men were going in and out of it. It didn't smell very good so I went to another machine but was disappointed I had to move when I was doing good. Other than that I like it allot“
“Went Saturday night for pizza. It's was amazing. The dough was homemade. Paper thin crust that is their specialty. The sauce is homemade. The cheese is rich. The place is run by a nice,hard-working Italian couple.Had a cold MillerLite. Doesn't get much better than this. PS The chicken parm is outstanding.“
