“I finally got to try Rubi’s on 18th and let me tell you. OMG! I do believe these are the BEST tacos, I've EVER had. The cashier was super nice and friendly, the food was fresh and there was a lot of it for the price. I can’t wait to go back already. I got 4 steak tacos, strawberry horchata, and guacamole and chips. Thank you guys! Monica Miranda! See you next time.“

“Best taco on the menu is the shrimp with the avocado sauce being the star but everything ordered was delicious from the rice and beans to the birria tacos and corn. Drinks were a little strong but hey can't complain when prices are what they are. Definitely will return when in the area.“

“I’ve been driving past Taco Boom Truck for what feels like forever, always catching a whiff of grilled meat or seeing a small line of people and thinking, “One day I’ll stop.” Well, I finally did, and man, I should’ve done it way sooner.
It’s a simple setup, parked off the road, colorful, and always smelling amazing. People were hanging out, eating, and the service was quick and friendly. The guy at the window even gave me some salsa tips when I told him it was my first time.
I went with two carne asada tacos. No exaggeration, the meat was so tender and juicy, with this really nice char on the edges. You could taste the seasoning in every bite, nothing overpowering, just that good mix of garlic, citrus, and smoky flavor. The tortillas were warm, soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together (no taco explosions, which is always a win).
The green salsa? Wild. It started off kind of mild, then hit with this spicy, peppery kick that crept up in the best way. It had some creamy avocado vibes too, which made it super addictive. Honestly, I kept dipping even after I ran out of taco.
If you’re in the mood for solid tacos that hit all the right notes, Taco Boom is 100% worth the stop. I already know I’ll be back.“

“Surprisingly for a hidden taco joint in a gas station, it’s great. I’ve had the tacos, burritos, and torta. The el pastor burrito is delicious! Their burrito tortilla is not like those thin stretchy flour tortillas, it’s great for burritos. The steak, lengua, and el pastor tacos are good too! The carnita taco is okay, not the best but it’s good. The torta is one of my go to’s. It can be a bit pricy but I think it’s worth it if you have the money to spend lol.“

“Chicken tikka taco was bomb and so was chicken and waffle taco. Although, it’s a bit sweet for my taste. The chicken was crisp and full of flavour.
Food is always great at Velvet taco, my interaction with the staff was blunt, they need to communicate better. I had to walk upstairs and down 4 times to get the correct code to use ladies room.“

“De Luna Taco Grill is a must-try for taco enthusiasts in Pilsen! I stopped by for dinner and ordered the Volcano Steak Tacos—spicy poblano peppers, melted cheese, and perfectly grilled steak wrapped in a warm tortilla. Each taco was packed with flavor and had a nice kick. The staff was friendly, and the food came out hot and fresh. I spent around $20 for four tacos, which is a great deal. The only downside was the limited seating, but it's worth the visit. Highly recommend!“

“Tried these tacos today and I must say.; It’s like having a little taste of Mexico in every bite. From the variety of tacos all the way to the salsas and fresh beverages. Located on Chicago’s South side on 63rd and Talman. Family owned business. 🇲🇽 🌮 🥤😋“

“Tom’s Carry-Out has a massive menu—everything from Greek chicken and gyros to ribs, fried seafood, burgers, and Mexican dinners. I usually avoid places with menus this big, but Tom’s proved to be the exception.
I ordered the quesadilla dinner. It was a bit greasy but still tasty and filling. It came with Mexican rice, refried beans (I opted for double rice), and a TomTom tamale. The tamale was a little dry and could have used salsa. My husband had the grilled chicken pita and said it was the best he’s ever had—freshly grilled chicken with lettuce and tomato. I also spotted the Greek chicken at another table, and it looked excellent.
Beer is reasonably priced at $3.50 for domestic and $4.50 for imported. There’s a separate gaming room, which I appreciated since it keeps the dining area quieter. Seating is limited to about a dozen tables, but staff cleared tables quickly, so there was no wait. They also partner with popular delivery services.
Parking is shared with nearby businesses, but most spots seem to be used by Tom’s customers. I’m already planning to try the Greek chicken and Gyros next.“

“In my experience, it can be *incredibly* difficult to secure a reliable, professional, and high-quality food truck vendor to service private events that are also open to neighborhood patrons; therefore, when I reached out to Tacos Truck El Tío Rafa, my experience working with them was very refreshing and affirming! They were immediately accommodating and responsive, even when all they had was my word that my event would generate enough profit to make it worth their time and investment. The El Tío Rafa team ended up servicing almost 250 guests at my party for approx. five hours, and they were prepared with more than enough food to do so! On top of it all, the food was DELICIOUS! So much so that my uncle broke his no meat diet to try the steak tacos because of how good they are! Other guests have been calling me to remark on how much they enjoyed all of the food offerings from the truck as well. And the prices of each item are incredibly reasonable, especially for working/middle class patrons.
I’m so honored and grateful that Rafael, Joanna, and their team took us on as clients, and I can’t wait to work with them again and again!“

“Another excellent restaurant in Pilsen! The tuna tostada probably won best dish, but the octopus Sonoran dog won most interesting bite and something you won't find anywhere else. Our kids loved the plantain tacos so much that we got two orders of them and they ate them all before I would even have one! It is a bit pricy as the sizes are small, but I would say that all of the food was worth it.“

“Instead of chips and salsa, they serve free chicharrones with a selection of salsa, which were quite unique. The taco was loaded with delicious carnitas. Their menudo was on the plain side but full of tripe. The cactus salad offered a unique texture and refreshing taste. Their corn tortillas also have a strong corn flavor. Overall, this place lives up to its hype. You could also specify which part of the pig you want your carnitas from.“

“This restaurants food was great. I tried the Alambre Tacos (Asada, Chorizo, Tocino, Cebolla Y Chile) for the first time and they were excellent. I would get them with more tortillas next time but either way they tasted great. The meat was well cooked and seasoned. Their green and red sauce are also very excellent. I also tried the steak burrito and it was very good. I especially like the amount of cilantro they used. I also had the Horchata and it was some of the best I've had. The service was also really good and the workers were very nice.“

“Burritos are huge. Don’t recommend the shrimp tacos or chorizo, really salty even when eaten with the rice. Our waitress Guadalupe was rude, doesn’t know how to smile, and kept rushing us. Took a star off because of her.
Really hated that the tip was mandatory with no option to adjust. Tipped almost $20 for absolute garbage service. Will Not return“

“FOOD WAS PRETTY GOOD!!! I got the Nachos to go.. you have to put it together yourself but that means you wont get soggy nachos. add as little or as much meat and cheese as you want and let me tell you the flavor didn't disappoint I would say im a harsh reviewer but the food here was great... For me a little spendy (Because I'm cheap) but worth it.. Will go again“

“We pass this place plenty of times, when we went for tacos around the corner of it. Decided to stop in to give it a try. This is our new taco place! Steak, Pastor, Cecina and chorizo tacos are delicious! Carnitas they sometimes have on Sunday are the bomb. Pozole is delicious. Can't forget the nachos w/steak louded, couldn't wait until I got home, munched on them the whole way home.“

“With every bite you take, you get a punch of something new, something different, something... amazing! What a unique taste. Here's a simple question for you. If you want to try the best Cabeza tacos of your life, you have to come to Tacos el Diablo. Located inside the Village of Robbins - open air market, a little of everything in one place. One of my co-workers recommended me to come here for tacos, but little did i know i'll be coming here often. For the last couple of months I've tried all different kinds of tacos on the menu. but the one thing i just cant get enough are the Tacos de Cabeza. I just cant wrap my head around how the meat is so delicious, tasty, and tender and packed with so much flavor. Every-time I come here, I come for one simple reason... to give my taste buds the bet experience in the world and to have the most mouthwatering tacos of my life. I would recommend Tacos el Diablo to everyone, if you are around the area of Blue Island the p is not too far for the best experience of your life. I would definitely will be coming here more times to come. oh, I almost forgot, they will come to your house if you hired them for a party or any kind of events.“

“We ended up at this place by chance with 6 of us, ranging from teens to a grandma. All of us loved it. The tacos were really delicious. Grandma felt that the guacamole was too salty so the owner came out and apologized, made her a fresh batch to her liking AND removed it from the bill. Both food and service were top notch. The atmosphere was super fun and lively too.“

“The food was really good! We ordered the chorizo burrito and carne asada burrito. I took one star away because I wish they had more options for the chorizo burrito like chorizo and eggs or chorizo and potatoes.FYI there is a $2 credit card charge in store so if you are ordering to go it might be better to place your order online because it comes out to be a little bit cheaper. Or bring cash!“

“Just had their steak (carne asada) tacos! Absolutely fantastic! The green salsa is on point! Very generous on the size of their tacos. I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. This is my first time coming here and this spot just got added to my small list. I will most definitely stop by this place whenever I'm around this area. Thank you for the great food! May God bless you with more business.“

“Food is great, bartenders when ask the prices on drinks in the beginning they change them through out the night for a much higher price. That is not right, had to fight and argue in front of my friends that they were wrong and they need to change the price back to the original price they told me in the beginning. They thought i was drunk enough to not remmeber. Check your bills GUYS!!“

“This place was so good! My boyfriend, baby, and I came here to dine in yesterday and the food was phenomenal. We were looking for queso barria tacos on google and they showed up. The server was awesome. They didn’t have a kids menu but I asked if they can do rice and eggs for the baby and they did just that he loved his meal as well! The cook even came to talk to us for a bit which I thought was pretty cool…very personalable! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for your service 😁“
