“I can only speak to their breakfasts but they make one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Stuffed with filling, evenly spaced ingredients, thin tortilla with a nice sear. The chorizo and the regular both are fantastic. The burritos in themselves make me come here. But I also return for the fabulous service. They're always fast and friendly. Great little neighborhood spot and one of our favorites for breakfast!“

“Not bad food and decent for the cost. Massive spot but well priced. Good looking menu and good service even on a slow day. Kitchen is well run and food looks good. Luckily, food is priced accordingly.I got the Beef wellington, i can never pass it up. For $39 it lives up to the price tag. However misses the mark… slightly cold and quite bland. It is unfortunately covered in a bland cream that over powers any redeeming quality. Good ingredients, but then a frozen/ premade sauce on top just ruins it. So much potential, but no creativity. Make your own sauce or give it some color and you can charge 10 bucks more.Cheap drinks and good wine list make it redeeming. So much potential being off the highway… disappointing but overall solid.A good sauce would make it a must stop off I-90 Nothing else good in 100 miles.“

“We are out of towners and I'm so GLAD we picked this gem. I ordered the brisket sandwich, delicious although next time I'm getting the slaw on the side. We also ordered the fried pickle burger and sweet chicken burger, both awesome. The home cut fries damn good. The beer on tap and handcrafted mixed drink "Irish maid" were both on point, delicious. “Family-owned, very friendly staff, always clean if not a little dated, and excellent food quality and quantity. Always busy on weekends, yet always a short wait even then. Great specials listed daily on the board up front. Waitstaff is extremely helpful and sweet, we're regulars to the point that many of the girls - and the owners - know us by name. When we go on Sunday mornings we see many of the same people every week enjoying breakfast, and many large family gatherings as well. Highly recommend this restaurant, try it - you won't be sorry.“

“It's our favorite steakhouse. The other steakhouses in my area are good, and they do a great job on the steak, but something as simple as the bread you get before your meal makes all the difference. I like Longhorn's bread better than the other places.“

“I haven't been here since my cross country team days in high school! The place has been redone inside and it's beautiful! Loved the coziness of the place. The staff was energetic and just amazing! The cost of the food is reasonable by all standards and from my breakfast skillet I literally got 4 meals out of it! “Cool bar where it's not so dusty inside. Dusty Boots is one of the local bars in Rockford, better for drinking than eating to be honest. It has a pretty limited food menu. Has lots of TVs for watching games. There's also other fun stuff like slots. A lot of times this place isn't that busy. It had a pretty good crowd the last time for an evening. The area around the bar gets the most people. It's about $7 for a cocktail. The Green Hawaiian is a good one. Cool color. This is Blue Curacao, Malibu rum, mango purée, pineapple juice, and Sprite. As for the food, not much great. It's about $8 for Sweet Potato Fries, and that's about it as far as vegetarian. Has lots of meaty choices. These looked to be greasy. Have a fun time watching or playing games while getting drunk and eating some mediocre food. It's one of the better bars around here to be honest. This place gets crowded for games because there's plenty of TVs for watching.“

They irritated everyone that sat around them with their negative attitudes because they complained about everything the entire time we were there. We had Kimberly as a waitress too and have had her before in the past and never have had a bad experience. Kimberly did her best to be patient with them while they were there. The two of them reminded me of two old "Karen's" that are never happy and complain about anything. We spoke with the people who sat on the other side of them and they complained about Janet and her guest's negative attitudes as well. Janet and her guest made the dining experience for everyone around them uncomfortable.My wife and I have been coming to eat at Sophia's for over 5 years and have always had good service. Sophia's serves homemade style comfort food and have always done their best to make sure we wanted to come back. No restaurant is perfect all the time, but Sophia's and their staff have always done their best to make our meal and dining experience a good one.“

“First visit. This is an upscale Cracker Barrel, which is a good thing. There's lots of comfort food choices and a nice selection of salads. We started with the brisket filled potato skins which were excellent. I had the Heartland Combo which was a 5 star meal. It's smaller portions of menu favorites which includes a slice of their stuffed roasted pork loin, a smaller version of a parmesan crusted pork loin, and two heartland delights.All meal starts with an excellent coleslaw, warm apple slices, pumpkin spice bread, and rolls. I didn't save room for a desert which was unfortunate because the pie selection looked outstanding. I'll be back!“

Service was absolutely amazing and the server was very knowledgeable of what they had in stock and what was not in stock. Being that we were there for Saint Patrick's Day they informed us that they did have green beer and they can make any beer green but it would be food coloring. I highly recommend it if you just want to come and hang out here for one beer or make it your daily hangout.“

“Great food, so much food! Appetizers: spinach and artichoke dip and melted cheese (I forget what) were yummy. Then soup, salad and our meals. Soups were good (baked French onion) salad portion was big and then the meals. Our party had, petite filet, prime rib and the dinner special of pork chops. We all left stuffed and well fed. Service was prompt and our server was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!“

“This place has been a Belvidere staple for many years. They are under different ownership. The food quality is, and has always been great. Service is usually very fast and efficient, but like all places today, that can vary, as it is harder to get and retain staff. But the only complaint with this restaurant is, the pricing. It's a little like going to buy a new car. You never know what you will end up paying. Start with the menu. It lists 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast at under $7.00. It actually is around double that. There are also various add on's they charge for, like using a credit/ debit card. That is not, listed on the menu. I understand the business pays a fee for accepting credit transaction's. However, there are quite a few benefits. First, you do not have to make change with a customer. Not many people realize it, but banks charge their commercial customers a fee per roll, for getting coins. You do not have to count the money, and balance it with expected receipts. Nobody has to take the money to the bank to deposit it, which is a safety risk. A lot of businesses use a service like brinks, which is an additional cost. Credit/ Debit transactions are posted to your account within 24 hours. Cash transactions will depend on when you get the money to the bank, and they count it. On a holiday weekend, it could take 4 days. Most smart businesses might adjust prices 2-3%, if they wanted to pass this cost on. But penalizing customers for using it, is short sighted. And the menu- I am sure there have been quite a few customers who get " sticker shock" from this. I have talked to the owner on a number of occasions. He has complained about how slow they are, during the week. Seems to me, running senior specials during this time period, might help him out. Embracing technology, like credit/ debit cards, is a must. Being honest and forthright by having a menu that actually reflects your prices, should be a given. Belvidere has lost quite a few restaurants since the pandemic. The Stellantis plant is expanding and will be bringing in a lot of new jobs. Your future should be secure. Be honest, and transparent, and the loyalty of Boone county will support you, for years to come. Had a reply from someone who says the menu prices are correct. Unless they printed a new menu while being closed for their plumbing issue, this is not true.“

“So I ordered funnel cakes on my last order & they had no powdered sugar on them when I got home, so I thought maybe if you get the dip that you don't get powdered sugar. So today I brought it up when ordering & when I got home was super impressed!! I even called to thank them for exceptional customer service. They put several containers of powdered sugar & the manager put an extra container of caramel for dunking. I had only asked for chocolate, but because I ordered a caramel shake he was kind enough to throw a little container of caramel too. “Food was amazing! Friendly staff just could tell they were a little under staffed. The only issue I had was the blinds in the window at our table were dirty but not recently dirty. They had been for a while. But overall I will keep coming back.“

“Okay, the vibe is that of a bar with slot machines and darts, and most of the food is typical bar fare. BUT. There are a couple Indian food choices on the menu; carryovers from when the owner was trying to fuse Indian food with a tavern atmosphere. That's what I ate, and let me tell you, the Indian food the owner made for me was well worth the trip. It was phenomenal. The owner was also great to talk to; I came at a weird time and the place was mostly empty, so we had a nice long conversation while I ate at the bar. He owns a full Indian restaurant out in the suburbs, which I fully intend to go to the next time I'm in town.If the food I ate was any indication, I'm sure the more "traditional" bar fare is delicious, too, but I just need it to be known that this place unexpectedly delighted me!“

Started with us needing seating for 7 people and dining room was half full and was told there is no room so we elected to sit 7 people at 6 top table in bar. Before the rest of party showed up (which was 4 people) the dining room cleared out yet we were told we couldn’t sit there because they were short servers. One entree had a long hair in it and we were offered either a remake or discount. Opted for discount because no guarantee on the entree, discount was 50% not sure if that’s the norm or not. My entree was the cheese and pesto ravioli which only had 5 ravioli for nearly $17. We were there to celebrate a good friends bday with her kids and spouses who have never been there, unfortunately I don’t think I sold them on your place. Waitress was nice and timely but other experiences last night have left a bitter taste.“
