“I don't post online very often, but after sitting behind Janet, who left the 1 star review tonight, and the lady she was with, I just had to. They irritated everyone that sat around them with their negative attitudes because they complained about everything the entire time we were there. We had Kimberly as a waitress too and have had her before in the past and never have had a bad experience. Kimberly did her best to be patient with them while they were there. The two of them reminded me of two old "Karen's" that are never happy and complain about anything. We spoke with the people who sat on the other side of them and they complained about Janet and her guest's negative attitudes as well. Janet and her guest made the dining experience for everyone around them uncomfortable.My wife and I have been coming to eat at Sophia's for over 5 years and have always had good service. Sophia's serves homemade style comfort food and have always done their best to make sure we wanted to come back. No restaurant is perfect all the time, but Sophia's and their staff have always done their best to make our meal and dining experience a good one.“
“The bartender, Lindsey is phenomenal. She takes care of customers and isn't afraid to take on obnoxious ones that need to be handled. The night was much more enjoyable because she was here. Food is tasty and the price is right. $2 16 oz drafts hit the spot too. Love the patio.“
“Decent option for the price but recent push to improve the bottom line should not be done in front of customers. Correcting employees for serving sizes and throwing the serving back in the mix is a turn off. Reducing serving size like fires or the amount of meat is turn off. Has been the best location but seems to be on the decline.“
“There was only 2 people working at the bar and on the serving floor but they were phenomenal and made it work! Great place to go for a drink, to listen to some live music, or a meal. Definitely would recommend Poison Ivy Pub & will forsure be back.“
“On Friday, Dec 22nd we had a large party (30+ people) drop in to the Pub. We had one server and she was on point! I can't remember seeing anyone looking around looking for a refill. “I love this place for three reasons: 1. The food is better than many fancier restaurants. 2. The staff is better than some starred restaurants I have been to. 3. The staff walk around towards the end of your meal and offers the patrons a mint. This is a fast food restaurant that could easily start taking orders at the table and would only need to hire waitresses to make it happen. The food is at that level now. This is great food, great prices, that has to be ordered at the counter. The Rockford area should be proud of this restaurant's quality.“
“Haven't been here in a couple years because of bad service and ok food. We stopped in today because a coworker wanted to go here. It took a couple minutes to be greeted, so of course in my head, I'm thinking....here we go again. Then we were approached by our server and she took our drink order. When she returned, we asked for the wifi password and she didn't know what it was. Again, you know where my thoughts are going. She did return promptly with the wifi password written down for us and she apologized and let us know it was only her 2nd day. So now it's making more sense. She returned a few minutes later and took our order. She did seem to have a pretty good grasp on the menu for only her 2nd day. The food came out out hot and pretty quick. The food itself is above average bar food. Definitely better than I remembered! She checked on us often and refilled drinks. It is unfortunately covered in a bland cream that over powers any redeeming quality. Good ingredients, but then a frozen/ premade sauce on top just ruins it. So much potential, but no creativity. Make your own sauce or give it some color and you can charge 10 bucks more.Cheap drinks and good wine list make it redeeming. “Quiet, folksy place with good food. My wife and I both had fried chicken. It was outstanding. Meat was moist, and the skin was lightly battered and crispy. Service was decent. Slow but friendly. Overall, it was a very good experience. We’ll be going back.“

“A great independently owned local establishment. Half of the building is a family style restaurant, and the other half has a full bar with a lot of additional seating. They can accommodate some larger groups as well. The menu is the same for both sides and also serves breakfast all day. I believe Friday will be the only night that they will be open moving forward. We have eaten here several times, and the food is always delicious and very consistent. The owners are super friendly and are always there working.“

The salt, ketchup, etc were all clean with no sticky residue, food, etc. The waitresses were friendly and came to check on us a few times. Food came out hot and fresh very quickly. It was good quality meat. Everything was seasoned but not overly seasoned. It was just right. The prices are very reasonable and affordable. They don't stay open all hours though so check the hours so you can try this fine establishment.“

Go for the giant pretzel if you want to share! Drinks are randomly priced I've been there twice and it was more expensive to get the same drink at the bar then when we ordered as a table. Service is very slow if you want to be waited on. Waitress was great but they seemed very short staffed as there was only one maybe two people waiting tables. We started with the brisket filled potato skins which were excellent. I had the Heartland Combo which was a 5 star meal. It's smaller portions of menu favorites which includes a slice of their stuffed roasted pork loin, a smaller version of a parmesan crusted pork loin, and two heartland delights.All meal starts with an excellent coleslaw, warm apple slices, pumpkin spice bread, and rolls. “So I ordered funnel cakes on my last order & they had no powdered sugar on them when I got home, so I thought maybe if you get the dip that you don't get powdered sugar. So today I brought it up when ordering & when I got home was super impressed!! I even called to thank them for exceptional customer service. I had only asked for chocolate, but because I ordered a caramel shake he was kind enough to throw a little container of caramel too.
