“Haven't been here in a couple years because of bad service and ok food. We stopped in today because a coworker wanted to go here. It took a couple minutes to be greeted, so of course in my head, I'm thinking....here we go again. Then we were approached by our server and she took our drink order. When she returned, we asked for the wifi password and she didn't know what it was. Again, you know where my thoughts are going. She did return promptly with the wifi password written down for us and she apologized and let us know it was only her 2nd day. So now it's making more sense. She returned a few minutes later and took our order. She did seem to have a pretty good grasp on the menu for only her 2nd day. The food came out out hot and pretty quick. The food itself is above average bar food. Definitely better than I remembered! She checked on us often and refilled drinks. “A great independently owned local establishment. Half of the building is a family style restaurant, and the other half has a full bar with a lot of additional seating. They can accommodate some larger groups as well. The menu is the same for both sides and also serves breakfast all day. I believe Friday will be the only night that they will be open moving forward. We have eaten here several times, and the food is always delicious and very consistent. The owners are super friendly and are always there working.“

“My wife went to Lydia's Cafe for breakfast after our get away weekend and it was delicious! Small place so you get the home-cooked meal and our breakfast was great. I had the Loco Moco special with breakfast rice, ham, bacon, red peppers and onions topped with sausage gravy and over medium eggs. My wife had the Rockford omelet and it was cooked perfectly! We are definitely going back the next time we are in the area!!“

“Would've been 5 stars if we were greeted and waited on. Chef grabbed the waitress and from the time she politely and apologetically took our order the experience was great. “Aldeen Golf Club is easily the best value in IL. $60 with cart for the weekend rate is absolutely fantastic for a course of this quality. They have 5 tees ranging from 7,135 to 5,075. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are kept in immaculate condition. The greens are fast but very consistent. The driving range is real grass which is a huge bonus. Marshalls frequently circle the course so the pace is great. I can't say enough good things about this course.“
“Ok let me start by saying they have one of the biggest selections of non-alcoholic beers. Service was absolutely amazing and the server was very knowledgeable of what they had in stock and what was not in stock. Being that we were there for Saint Patrick's Day they informed us that they did have green beer and they can make any beer green but it would be food coloring. I highly recommend it if you just want to come and hang out here for one beer or make it your daily hangout.“

“I haven't been here since my cross country team days in high school! The place has been redone inside and it's beautiful! Loved the coziness of the place. The staff was energetic and just amazing! The cost of the food is reasonable by all standards and from my breakfast skillet I literally got 4 meals out of it!
