“We are “newer” to Janesville and had never been to Bessie’s until today! Jan. 1 is my birthday and we have found it hard to find places that are open. We were thrilled to see that Bessie’s was open on New Years Day! The restaurant was booming, which is always great to see. Our server Susy V. was attentive, friendly, and she went the extra mile to make my birthday feel special. The manager even allowed me to add an item to my omlet that wasn’t even an option. Overall we were thrilled by the hospitality. The food was delicious, the Bloody Mary flight was fun, and we saw a total of 11 planes! 10/10 experience. We will be back!“

“So, I’ve been here for breakfast which was very good, the duck butt muffins are excellent. This time did the very uniquely midwestern thing, and went for pizza at the farm. Best pizza in Beloit. It’s only available once a month, check their facebook page, and only during the summer months, but so worth it.“

“First of all, I don’t drink, however I have a true appreciation for the American dive bar. The atmosphere hits this vibe 100%. Also, I believe I am a patty melt Connoisseur — and theirs is probably the best in the stateline. I’m also big into that taco salad. The drinks are cheap and the patio out back is stupendous. “If you are looking for where the locals would go, then you've found it! The service was excellent and impressive given how busy it was (6: 45 pm on a friday). The drinks were tasty and refreshing (we both ordered the "Super Sipper") and the food was high end for small town tavern fair.“

“Nice sports bar with plenty of TVs, tables, and booths as well as bar seating. Had a fair selection of draft beers. I enjoyed some of the old Kentucky. It is a one pound fried chicken breast with Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a bun. Came with a side. All five of us in our party got our food quickly and enjoyed it.“

“Local bar on prairie ave in Beloit WI. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I usually have a pineapple and Malibu, the waitress suggested trying rum haven which is a top shelf liquor which tasted very delicious with the pineapple. They also have slots, and a pool table. Very nice atmosphere, clean as well. They have food but I have not tried it yet.“
