“We pass this place plenty of times, when we went for tacos around the corner of it. Decided to stop in to give it a try. This is our new taco place! Steak, Pastor, Cecina and chorizo tacos are delicious! Carnitas they sometimes have on Sunday are the bomb. Pozole is delicious. Can't forget the nachos w/steak louded, couldn't wait until I got home, munched on them the whole way home.“
“This place has amazing tacos de carnitas !!!! The meat was so tender and juicy. No fat on the tacos I had. It’s a 20 min drive from my house in Gary but man it’s worth the drive. I highly recommend. I had 2 tacos de carnitas 1 asada 1 apastor and 1 large agua de Jamaica. Total was $18“

“We ended up at this place by chance with 6 of us, ranging from teens to a grandma. All of us loved it. The tacos were really delicious. Grandma felt that the guacamole was too salty so the owner came out and apologized, made her a fresh batch to her liking AND removed it from the bill. Both food and service were top notch. The atmosphere was super fun and lively too.“

“Just had their steak (carne asada) tacos! Absolutely fantastic! The green salsa is on point! Very generous on the size of their tacos. I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. This is my first time coming here and this spot just got added to my small list. I will most definitely stop by this place whenever I'm around this area. Thank you for the great food! “I love supporting family owned businesses. Love that this is an option in the area late nights as there’s not many food options nearby. The chicken quesadilla is my favorite and I love how juicy it is!

“Dined in at around 6pm on a Friday and there was nobody eating at the establishment until after we arrived. Lots of street parking, place is clean, and staff was welcoming. They also have a patio which we didn’t choose to eat in because it was too hot out.
Our order was not that big and it did take a good while to come out but they give you chips and a little salsa flight to eat while you wait. I enjoyed all three salsas.
Aguas frescas—both the horchata and the jamaica one— were delicious and refreshing.
Food had good presentation although I wish they gave cucumber slices instead of radishes to make it the true Tijuana taco experience.
Guac on the tacos was skimpy and a little salty but overall enjoyed and will be back!
We paid around $50 for two people.“

“I got the taco dinner and the nacho fries. First, the size of the taco dinner is actually really good for the price. I got double rice and no beans because I’m not a fan of refried beans. The nacho fries were HEFTY. I picked up the container and HOLY MOLY! It was A LOT of food! Definitely a great price! Will be ordering again!“

“Food is authentic and generously portioned, the lengua is grilled crispy like I like it and steak tacos are good too food is fresh although last time I got the lengua it tasted fresher than this time ... Most tacos are NOT this big for the price but I don't understand why you have to pay for 🍋🟩 lime seems like it should be included. Nonetheless I will return. Thanks!“

“Stopped here on a whim. Right off expressway. Looks like it just opened but they have been there for about 3 years. And still looks brand new. Reasonable prices. Great customer service. Everything was fresh and hot. We had their tacos. Ground beef taco 10/10, chicken taco 10/10 they use shredded chicken which we appreciate, and their Al pastor which was tender, saucy and flavorful. Appreciate that they paired it with a wedge of lime 🍋🟩 we also tried their carne asada torta which was 10/10 love that they add guacamole and the bread was toasted to perfection on outside but still fresh and soft when you bite into it. We also had their elote which was a generous size. And their red and green salsa were both delicious 10/10. We also appreciate their fountain drink machine being well calibrated right amount of carbonation and syrup and their ice cubes were hollow cubes which as an ice chewer I appreciate. Definitely recommend and worth the drive.“
