“This is one of my favorite vegan Mexican restaurants. Chef Patricia is so sweet. I almost always get the Carne Asada burrito but I’ve loved everything I have tried. The nachos & tacso are so good too. The peanut butter cookies are probably the best I’ve ever had. I love the chocolate mini Bundt cake.“

“I ordered the avocado chicken curry with rice! It was absolutely delicious. Very flavourful. Just perfect. My friend got the avocado mac and cheese. I tasted it and loved that too. The portions are large and we brought some home. We got the avocado cheesecake cup for desert and wow! Yummy yummy yummy. They have a kids menu too! I will be a regular customer in the future. You have to try this place!“

“Was recommended this restaurant from a friend. The maple tree and did not disappoint. Made a reservation online easy. Their menu is awesome, simple and delicious. Crab cake was perfect! Our dinner was fantastic. We had trout and shrimp. They have the best banana pudding over crème brûlée. The coffee for an end cap was out of this world good!“

“Chicken Sumac is delicious on dutch bread. The bread is soft but a little crispy on outside. And sumac is unique tasting and mildly tangy. The staff keep everything running smoothly and all the items are delicious. Sandwiches are fresh and interesting. Desserts look good too. Will have to come back and try more items.“

“I stopped by earlier because I saw a picture of Dr. Sebi on the window and it caught my attention because Dr. Sebi really inspired me to loose weight and eat alkaline things instead of all that junk food i use to eat and the moment i came in this place i felt a great vibe and it smell great i had a mushroom coffee and some alkiline water and it was delicious i will continue to go back and try other things they have a lot of alkaline things that are good for the body and the owner and the rest of the crew in there are so friendly.“

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some delicious soul food. I love the dressing, baked chicken, sweet potatoes and muffins. The portions are good, I had enough left over to take some home for a late night snack. Our hostess Ms. Lyn has outstanding service she made sure that my glass was full at all times and that I had everything that I needed. “I placed an order to go. Was informed that there was a $3.00 to go charge and a gratuity would be added on the order cause it was over $100.00. After I checked the receipt, $18.35 was the gratuity. I thought it would be maybe $5.00. Very disappointed. Had I known this, I would have come into the restaurant and ate there had them provide me with service. I am a senior and that was definetly not right. I've already instructed my family not to get me gift card from Maple and Jam.“

However, this new location is closer to my house and I would be a frequent customer if they would ever answer the phone. I called both numbers on this page. One is out of service the other never gets answered. I want to see this restaurant succeed. It is Black owned and I want to support it. Please update your number on Facebook to the correct number that will get answered. Until I am able to call to place an order, I will place my order at Daisy's Cafe 2 in Hazel Crest. I’m not a beef eater so I wasn’t aware of the difference between a Philly steak and a sweet steak I had the Philly and loved it however when asking the difference the guy had no clue and read the menu as I did clearly the difference is bbq sauce is drenched on the sweet steak had he mentioned that I would’ve never ordered and wasted $25 being that I don’t like bbq sauce to that extent. The food is always on point but it seems like every time I order I have to double check because something is either missing or I get the wrong order but it’s always something otherwise I would’ve given 5 stars. This is my go to for comfort food the Burgers are my favorite and by far the best vegan food I’ve had in the City!“
