“Love the friendly staff and engagement. The plum Sake hands down super delicious and smooth it pairs so well with Sushi rolls. I ordered the Dinosaur rolls. Presentation was amazing and inviting!! I recommend you come in and give them a try! You wont be disappointed!”

“I always dine in I love everything about this place I have been twice and had great service both times. I live over an hour away but we love the food so much will make the drive to come back.Dietary restrictions: There great they have no problem changing any food to what you want if you can’t eat mushrooms or meat you just ask and they will remove it from the food with no problem.Parking: Parking is across the street from the restaurant very short walk parking lot has a big sign to know that’s the place to park is freeKid-friendliness: The staff is really nice they have a kids menu. If you have kids that are a little startled by loud conversations it might be little much just because the atmosphere sometimes is like a large family happy talking loudly. But it’s a very welcoming place it’s not too loud but it’s little louder than some restaurants just because it’s all in one large room.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to go in and the tables are low enough to sit at the table with the family”

“Nicole was a really great server! Everyone seemed very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed! The food was great and it was nice to start my work day with some great food, nice people and all in a timely manner! I was in and out within 45 minutes.”

“Excellent atmosphere, from the moment I opened the door and entered the place I could see that it is a very special place because it fuses the concept of an American Bar, with touches of a Mexican Cantina, then when I saw the menu, I could realize that it really has a lot of influence of a typical Mexican Cantina, that makes it a beautiful and excellent place. Good variety of Mezcales, the sale of Cantaritos is a pleasant surprise.”

“Tried Thyme for the first time today and everything was fabulous! I had the lobster pasta and it was phenomenal. I wish it was a bigger portion because I can't get enough! I also got a side order of the crispy potatoes with some herb aioli and they were great! I was also surprised at how cheap my meal ended up being. I really applaud the owners for giving this area such a great, unique restaurant in the IV. The only negative I have to say is that whatever the waitresses are wearing is weirddddd. The puffy white shirts and the aprons look like they work at Steak N' Shake and do not mesh well with the vibes of the rest of Thyme. I kinda feel bad for them that they have to wear that, lol. Overall, can't wait to go back!”

“Adorable bakery with awesome coffee! This place had a nice steady flow of customers at 1 o'clock, most were buying the loaves of fresh bread. We just stopped for a coffee but I was truly tempted by the pastries as well. We had just eaten otherwise I would have grabbed one. Our cold brew coffee was really delicious and we are slightly picky about coffee. The caramel cold foam was a delight, glad we added it. Stop in and check this place out - it's really great!”

“First time here, we had a delicious lunch! The chicken taco soup was really good. Also tried the grilled ham and Nick which was good, although I love me a good old fashioned hot ham and cheese, the addition of grilled onions and flavored mayo wasn't my favorite. “Loved this cute shop from the adorable puppy dog logo to the architecture and, of course, the yummy coffee and sweet treats! Knowledgeable and helpful staff helped me order my tiramisu latte to my liking, and the mint chocolate chip ice cream was the best I'd ever tasted. Plus a nice selection of pure cane sugar sodas. Will definitely come back if we visit Starved Rock again!”

“What a pleasant surprise! From the outside it has the look of a dive bar. Inside it is recently decorated and extremely clean! Owners are super friendly and attentive. The food is standard bar fare but really good. I opted for the tenderloin sandwich and my better half opted for the build-your-own burger. We will definitely come back!”

“This place is doing it right !! I've been traveling for business for over 20 yrs all over the country. I eat Mexican food at least once a week, and I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment . I had the carnitas and the chili colorado on two separate nights . Generous portions of perfectly done carnitas and chili colorado! The staff was attentive and took great care of me . I was surprised the place was not busier! It closes early( 9 pm at the time of this review ), probably due to being off the beaten path , but worth checking out if your in the area . Saved on my map ! I'm sure their other signature dishes are spot on as well , but I normally start with carnitas to set the baseline to judge if I return .”

“this place is great. ive since moved & tried many different mexican restaurants but this one still takes the cake. it’s a nice, quieter atmosphere. the food is amazing with plentiful portions; they have the best tacos & rice & bean. the service is always fast & friendly as well. & good prices!! 10/10”

“Excellent food. Group of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meal. The French dip and buffalo chicken wrap were favorites. Amazing fries and even better was the side of corn. The chef did a great job with seasoning the food to perfection. Our tastebuds sang. He was even kind enough to check on our table. Large serving sizes. The entire staff was personable, friendly (making local recommendations and conversation) and very attentive and quick. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat (great classic music). The smoked wings, deep-fried kale, and chili were a particular hit... and meats on the Smokehouse Sampler platter were tender with just the right amount of smoke. “Best homemade pizza. We stopped by after hiking at Starved rock state park and reading all the positive reviews we decided to try this place. The joint takes you back to time, Sam is an amazing person to interact with and funny. He is really hardworking and super fast as well, we got our pizza within 20 mins. For $10 I was expecting the pizza to be average, but I was so wrong. I ended up eating more slices than I usually do. I would go back again. This is a must visit when you are in Oglesby.”

“This place is fantastic.. such a cool eclectic place.. the atmosphere most defenitely biker ish. I can't wait until the weather gets warm and the place is alive and kicking. The out door area is huge and they have bands etc. They also do karaoke on Saturdays around 5.The staff is wonderful ..efficient and pleasant. Food was great.They have a a crazy selection of knives...swords..patches pins leather wear and very unique artwork..And ammo..bring your FOID card.”

“Tonight i threw the proverbial dart at the board and it landed on this place. I've never heard of nor tried. So ordered the chimichanga and nachos loco and once i tried them both oh my i was overly happy. I am picky when it comes to Mexican food. I am adding this place to the favorites list for sure. Now let's get to the food. I have never seen achimi as big as this one. The fry on it was perfect, the flavors inside where great, and this thing was stuffed full, all the good stuff to. The red sauce served on the side was a great compliment. Speaking of the red sauce it was the prefect balance of spicy and earthy. The nachos Loco are exactly what you'd expect them to be. All the good toppings and plenty of cheese and meat to go along with all those great homemade chips. All in all I'm gonna be back to try all the goodies on this menu. Especially 2 of my favorite foods. The birria and tamales.”

Fun, Engaging and knowledgeable staff on the weekends, they really know how to get a feel for the customers and help find the best wine for them. I highly recommend giving them a shot, you will not regret it.”
