Their pasta dishes from the menu are enormous. Actually you get very generous portions with everything you order. That is absolutely not an exaggeration. The service is top notch as well. We only use delivery. Everything has been accurate, fast and literally piping hot when it arrives at our doorstep. Slapz is one of only 2 places we've found that delivers to us in Lindenwood. “There are several good pizza recipes in Rockford but Gulotta’s pizza stands out among all others; not only in terms of authentic flavor and fresh ingredients but in heart and soul. There’s more to a good pizza pie than what’s on the surface. I was 14 when I first had the Gulotta pizza experience. I’ve lived in Chicago for 22 years, and eaten scores of pizzas from different restaurants. Gulotta’s been at it for 45 years and it’s continues to be top tier in my book. “I was told that Gerry’s Pizza is amazing. Well it really isn’t. We tried it yesterday for the first time. We asked for a very thin crust and while it was thin it wasn’t more so than any other thin crust. The sauce lacked flavor. It was at best bland. We asked for extra sausage & cheese. If what they gave us was extra I’d hate to see what regular cheese & sausage consisted of. The bigger letdown was the “Fresh Calamari.” This wasn’t fresh! It was straight from the freezer bag to the deep fryer. Breading was very institutional from a place like Gordon Food Service. The person that took my order over the phone and got my food for me was very nice. You get one chance to make a first impression. Gerry’s food fell far short.“

“So for about a year, my husband and I have driven by this place and we always say we’re gonna stop in there and check it out thinking it was a hot dog place. We just never did. We had some running around to do in the area and I finally said to him, let’s go check out the hot dog place 😃 So we went in there and we were shocked to see it wasn’t a hotdog place at all!🤣 We never paid attention to the fact that the sign says “pizza and pub”😂 They had a fantastic bar, daily special’s, and the food was outstanding. Of course we had to come back the next day for lunch again to get more fantastic food! The bartenders are awesome and we even got to meet one of the owners who sat and talked to us for a while. I definitely recommend this place and wow most people think bar food is just average. This place is definitely not average. It’s probably the best bar, food and drinks in the area! I look forward to seeing what the future holds for this little place as I can see it growing and holding events in the future, including more bands and outdoor activities. It definitely goes above and beyond normal bar food. They are definitely the Top Dog Pub in the area! 😁“

“Ive heard the pizza is fire. We have amazing pizza in winnebago county so they have a lot to live up to. I got the biggest one. Pepperoni. Absolutely delicious af. Instantly top 5 pizza place for me. 1000% best pizza in the parks. Rockford has some crazy good pizza so to be in the top 5 after 1 pie is crazy impressive. The price was legit too. 21 bucks for a GIANT 1 topping is good af. Highly recommend their pizza. I think ill try the cracker crust next time as ive heard great things about that as well. Staff was super friendly. Ticket time was good too. I have nothing bad to say about the experience. Check em out“
