Italian Restaurants near Chicago Heights

“Visited Mr Brown’s in Chicago Heights with my wife and ordered the 6-piece mixed chicken meal with fries and corn fritters as sides. The chicken was juicy inside and crispy outside, not greasy at all. Fries were perfectly cooked and the corn fritters were sweet and flavorful. You can tell the food is made fresh. The guys there were so nice and helpful, very satisfying meal overall.“

“I have only ordered the uncooked pizza with a salad and I like it. The staff is friendly and they are quick. Plus I like controlling how done my pizza is cooked.

“Doug was patient, cordial, very attentive. My mom, 96, has not been out for a meal in 5 yrs. Doug made this a pleasant experience for the 4 of us. Comfortable sitting, great comfortable noise level, not crowded sitting( we had a wheelchair), food excellent. Pork shoulder outstanding. No stickiness on anything. Best day/meal ever! Thank u Doug“

“Catered Easter dinner from Bella Mia and everything was exceptional - the food and the wonderful customer service. We will definitely be ordering again.“

“Incredibly delightful day after being introduced to this wonderful Deli by my son! Tony's Panini was absolutely delish! Tasted Tony's homemade meatballs also delicious. I have so missed having a great Italian Deli as a go to. Tony your hospitality was very much appreciated. You will be seeing me often. Thank you again!!!“

“You catered my son’s wedding at Southern Charm back in November and it was delicious! Guests raved about the food weeks after the wedding. Your staff was so efficient and very professional. Thank you!“

“I had a catered event on October 2nd. The food was excellent!! Especially the Italian beef and Mac and cheese. Went to drop off stuff snd decided to have lunch since we were there. The Reuben was to die for!! As was the beef sandwich. We also loved the fries. Thank you Jim for making the food for our 30th anniversary party . I would highly recommend using them for all of your catering needs. And if you are in Thorton, pick up lunch. You won’t regret it.“

“awesome, even with take out. always hot and fresh.“

“EXCELLENT FOOD! Great service“

“I was born and raised in Chicago. Thin crust tavern style pizza is my go to! I moved to Indiana and miss good Chicago pizza. I had Bartolini s shipped via Goldbelly last week. I am BLOWN AWAY!!! This is the absolute best pizza I have had since I left Chicago!!!! Next time I am back in the area you better believe I will be there!!!!“

“I've been coming to Rosati’s Pizza in Matteson for over 6 years now, and they’ve never disappointed. The food is consistently delicious — from the perfectly crispy thick crust pizzas to the hearty pastas and sandwiches, everything is always fresh and flavorful. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the quality has remained solid over the years. Whether I’m picking up or getting delivery, I can always count on Rosati’s to hit the spot. Definitely one of my go-to places in the area!“

“Love their pizza, amazing ranch, wings, wraps, and sandwiches. Philly is one of my favs!!“

“Good food. Excellent courteous and fast service.“

“As I walked in the cashier was too busy playing a game on her phone. She acted as if I was disturbing her. Anyway now to the pizza I ordered a small pizza with 4 toppings, extra cheese and sauce. It was 30 dollars a couple of the toppings was a double charge. They told me 40 minutes. I've never waited that long for a pizza but okay. It wasn't definitely no extra cheese and sauce. I must say it was delicious. Just a few things rubbed me the wrong way so I'm not sure if I will try it again“

“Great food and excellent service!“

“I usually trust Olive Garden because it’s a nationwide chain with very consistent food quality. We were driving from Chicago to central Illinois today, got hungry, saw this location along the way, and decided to stop.

The food itself was exactly what I expected from Olive Garden. The taste was consistent with every other location I’ve visited, so I have no complaints about the food.

Unfortunately, almost everything else was disappointing.

First, the restaurant wasn’t very clean. I know Olive Garden locations aren’t always spotless, but this one was noticeably worse. The tables, chairs, and even the utensils all felt like they could have been cleaned much more thoroughly.

Second, our bill was incorrect. We were charged for two dishes that we never ordered. Fortunately, the server corrected the mistake as soon as I pointed it out.

Third, the order of service was completely disorganized. Our entrees arrived before our drinks, and our salad and soup didn’t come until after the main courses. Normally, you would expect drinks first, then breadsticks, followed by salad and soup, and finally the entrees. The whole meal felt out of sequence.

Finally, the service was extremely slow. It took about 25 minutes before our server even came over to greet us. To be fair, the server himself was polite, apologized sincerely every time we mentioned an issue, and fixed the problems promptly. I don’t blame him personally—it seemed more like a management or staffing issue than an individual employee problem.

Overall, the food met the Olive Garden standard, but the cleanliness, billing error, slow service, and disorganized dining experience made this one of the weaker Olive Garden locations I’ve visited.“

“buffet was 15 dollars no bread salad bar was bare min. not worth it! who doesn't put cheese on their salad?!? and no deserts!“

“This place is such a hidden gem! Catered from them for Xmas eve and had my birthday dinner there a week before. Actually also had my rehearsal dinner there almost 10 years ago lol! Can't say enough good things.. they let me put in a last minute order for Christmas Eve so I didn't have to cook a ton of pasta, and gave me extra vodka sauce!!! Love Louisa's will be back again and again :)“

“My experience, at Pop's Italian Beef Restaurant, has all ways been a pleasant one. The food there is very delicious and homemade fresh. We bought our your grand twins there, at the time they were 6yrs. old, a few years ago, and they still ask about coming back. The staff treated them so well and were so impressed with their young mannerisms, and said to us, to bring them back at anytime. Yesterday, was our first time back, since we'd brought them 2years ago, and still, it was a great experience.“

“The friendly environment of Matteson Location.. makes me nostalgic for their old location .. but Good people are still there.“

“Our meal was very delicious. Chicken vesuvio, sautéed perch, and linguini with red clam sauce all so good. Thank you for good service too.“

“We had the thin crust pizza. It was probably the best I've ever had. The wait staff is great! Friendly and helpful. I have an allergy and they made sure it wouldn't be a problem. Would definitely recommend this place..atleased for the pizza.“

“I don’t know where this app gets its information but this is 100% incorrect. These are two separate restaurants bambino’s and Austin’s.“

“Sbarro’s breakfast spread feels like the moment a fast-food joint suddenly remembers it has a soul. The eggs come out fluffy instead of rubbery, the peppers stay bright and sweet, and the sausage carries that satisfying, just-enough-spice warmth that wakes you up better than a motivational podcast. The roasted potatoes are the real ringleaders, though. They’ve got that crisp-on-the-edges, soft-in-the-center thing going on, like they were engineered by someone who genuinely cares about breakfast physics.

The whole plate tastes fresher than you expect from a spot best known for giant slices under heat lamps. It’s hearty without being heavy, comforting without getting sloppy. You walk away thinking, “Wait, did Sbarro just become my morning place?” That kind of pleasant surprise has a way of brightening the rest of the day.“

“I grew up in this neighborhood and started eating this pizza in the 70's. Geneo's wouldn't be around if it wasn't great pizza! I can't wait to be back in the old neighborhood, stopping at Geneo's is a must.“

“The pizza is cooked to perfection every single time! This is an excellent track record especially considering that my family eats here often- LOL!“

“I have been a long time customer since they opened years and years ago. I like that fact that even after all these years the only thing thats changed is the price of the pizza. Its still reasonable for a gigantic slice and it hits with some nostalgia everytime..I will say the pizza is not the best in Chicago but for 8 or so bucks its definitely a hey not bad. Last thing parking is horrible“

“If you're having a bad day, come see Chris behind the bar. If you're hungry, come see Chris behind the bar. If you just want a drink, come see Chris behind the bar Service is AWESOME, the food is excellent“

“The food here is delicious! The menu is huge. If you’re wanting something a little lighter you can opt for a yummy chicken chop salad. We ended up getting the Italian beef and the Ruben. Both are excellent. The Ruben is the best Ruben I have ever eaten in my entire life hands-down you must get! We also had a vanilla shake and the large sizes are ginormous . The food servings are very generous, everything is very shareable. They even have an area where you can grab a beer if you’d like. The restaurant has a large sitting area and there is a covered back patio. Service is excellent and the restaurant very clean. A great place to stop!“
