We were personally greeted and served by proprietor Anluan McKinney who took great care of us and told us about the pub’s history. The food and drinks were wonderful and the pub was clean, comfortable, and authentic. It may be my favorite Irish pub in the US.“

“5 Iron Loop is a wonderful golf simulation center located in the heart of Chicago. With an attentive staff great Trackman simulators, good food and drink and a pleasant atmosphere to for a brief moment during the day get away from the office or out of the rain or the snow and put yourself on a golf course somewhere else in the world.“

Ive dined in 3 times and twice I got a female bartender who ... As a 14 year industry vet, I can tell she's checked out and doesn't care. Would never stop me from keep going back though. “The perfect bar, I fear. I can’t believe I have ANY pictures in this place because I’m always just talking to someone or playing pool or queueing up songs on the jukebox. There’s something about this place that you can’t really take a picture of: the people are always friendly and chill, you can tell it has a low staff turnover rate, the food is ALWAYS good. This is the kind of bar which would be the ultimate muse for a poet from the 1800s. My one drink photo is an espresso martini that was made with love, but know that they put just as much love into every beer they pour. It just isn’t as instagrammable.“

They have a lot of different options on draft, and also have a great selection of higher end whiskey and tequila.

When I swung by they had two gluten free beers on their menu, unfortunately they were out of both, but glad that they offer them at least.

The plantains with the onion-forward dipping sauce were phenomenal. The Brussels sprouts had a lovely balsamic glaze topped with creamy goat cheese. Several of us ordered burgers with side salads, and the greens were of high quality. The standard vinaigrette offered was a wonderful blend of tangy and subtlety sweet. The smash burger patties were cooked well with crisp edges while maintaining a juicy interior. The garlic parm fries had a crisp exterior and fluffy texture. Everything was phenomenal, and Micky even helped us with the cake our friend made and brought. Do yourself a favor and come check this spot out!“

“They have the best cheeseburger in Chicago. I went there in 2012, and 2013 on Kedzie, and omg it’s the best. I used to live in Highland Indiana and I took public transportation which it was GPTC bus to Downtown Hammond, and pace bus from Downtown Hammond Indiana to Downtown Harvey Illinois, and pace 349 from Harvey Transportation Center to 111th and Western, and CTA Route #112 bus from 111th and Western to 111th and Kedzie. Well now since I finally move to Chicago Auburn Gresham with my fiancé, and now I live 15 minutes away. I take 79th Street bus from 79th and Ashland to 79th and Kedzie, and transfer to CTA Route #52A Southbound and go all way to 111th and Kedzie. I’m even more glad you guys reopened which I had no idea where you guys relocated at Thanks to my friend Tracy for telling me where it is. I went there with my fiancé Raymon. I’m so glad you guys are amazing, and the service was great too. I’ll be back. This place is even very affordable.“

“The Vegan Birria Tacos (hibiscus flowers, spicy dipping sauce, vegan cheese, cilantro, onion, elote salad) are excellent. There were some very interesting flavors, the tacos have amazing variances in texture and a variety of flavors in a bite sweet, sour, tangy and just a little bit of heat. Great rotating draft beer options. The decor is very interesting with a huge dragon artwork on the ceiling in the bar area. I can wait to come back.“

We were asked what we wanted to drink right away and even though the taps blew we were led to other options. The food menu was the perfect size and the bartender answered all of our questions and even made us laugh a few times. The food was cooked right in front of us and it tasted so freaking good. One of the highlights was when the person checking IDs noticed my parrot tattoo and gave me a free shot 🥃🎉 such a fun and unexpected gesture that totally made my day! Little moments like that really set this place apart.

“i’m writing this review as i’m still sitting in the booth because it was just THAT good.

i ordered the french onion burger with the regular fries on the side, and let me tell you i haven’t had a burger check every box like this one. the garlic aioli was the perfect amount of flavor to complement the caramelized onions. the bun was seemingly buttered and fluffy. and the fries!! they had a flakey salt with not one fry left unsalted. they were also thin and crispy to perfection.

the service was great and every staff member was always smiling. i never write reviews but this one felt very necessary. 5 stars from me!“

“My group of 7 ate here 5/31/25 during my Bachelorette party and everything was wonderful. I had made a reservation, but due to some train delays we were running late. The hostess called to verify we were still coming and pushed our reservation back to accommodate us. The appetizers we had were delicious (Kung pao cauliflower, pretzel bites, and the spinach and artichoke dip). Everyone loved their food and raved about the tater tots. Lol At the end a manager brought us over two complimentary skillet cookies and a round of champagne to toast. I have a friend who is sober and the manager went and got her a sparkling grapefuit without a second of hesitation. I truly appreciated all of it. There is a 3% service fee that they will remove if you ask. We had them remove the fee and left that money as more tip for the server. I will note that for our large party they can only split a check in two or have it all on one. The hostess that I spoke to originally did inform me of this when I made my reservation, but it is something to keep in mind.“

“Visited from STL and this time the owner was there. Very chill laid back good time. This particular night they had karaoke, which was fun. The bartenders are friendly and know how to pour. Shavon kept the drinks coming! The owner is hands on, friendly professional and made sure to show us out of towners hospitality. After a few dances and drinks we ordered food to go.
