“What a great experience! All four of us enjoyed everything we ordered. The food was delicious and fresh and the service was friendly. We are going putting Blue Door on our list for when we are in Chicago next.“

“This family operated eatery was a great place to meet friends for quiet conservation. It would be a great date place as well. They will customize your order on request (one of our gang was. It about cilantro 🙄), a fresh mint herbal tea, and lechon (pork) with rice and plantains was mixed and matched for us. My arroz con pollo was delivered late as a chicken paella but very tasty nonetheless. They did not charge due to late arrival. The only weak spot was the Cuban sandwich - just not enough meat. So very friendly and informal…and almost a five star. We will be back!“

“I was in the area for a show at the Vic Theater and saw this place was close by. I'm glad I decided to stop in because this place was amazing. I ordered the country fried steak, and they had it ready within 10 minutes. The meal was delicious. The seitan steak tasted almost exactly how I remember real country fried steaks to taste. The gravy was savory, and the potatoes were super creamy. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I'll definitely be coming back. While everything on the menu is vegan, vegetarians can get real cheese and eggs if they ask. Since the restaurant is located in the Northhalsted neighborhood, it's also a safe space for LGBT folks. “After a mishap with their online ordering system, the owner went above and beyond to make sure I still had a vegan meal for Christmas and my birthday! I live out of town but usually order every time I visit my sister in Chicago. I've never had any complaints, but I'm very grateful for this particular meal that I get to eat tomorrow. “We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to grab a bite. The service was fast and the server (owner?) was really nice. I got a chicken Marsala, it was fresh and delicious. I also enjoyed an espresso. Hrana i usluga su odlične!“

I didn't have high expectations, given that hotel food can sometimes disappoint, but this turned out to be a delightful surprise. Although the service was a bit slow and there were some order mistakes, our waitress was sweet and helpful. I'd definitely dine there again.“
