Our waiter Julio was completely knowledgeable and helpful regarding vegan and gluten-free options. And the pizzas were delicious! We did not opt for the deep dish vegan pizza but it is on the menu if you want a true Chicago experience.
Glad we can get a deep dish in Chicago. We got the OMG plus olives. The green peppers were still crunchy and gave the pizza a much needed texture difference. It does take 45mins to come out.

Gino's East - South Loop is a popular Chicago deep dish pizza restaurant known for its great dining experience. The servers are friendly and attentive, providing good service and helpful guidance for first-time visitors. The cheese sticks are a must-try, often described as "amazing." The deep dish pizza is tasty, leaving customers satisfied but not overly full, with some saying it is the best in Chicago. The atmosphere is cool and inviting, creating a vibe that stands out from other pizza places. The restaurant is also praised for its vegan deep dish, considered the best in the city, and it offers options for those with dietary restrictions, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices. The lunch special personal size deep dish takes around 20 minutes to prepare and is highly recommended. The sauce is well seasoned, the crust is crunchy and biscuit-like, and the pizza is not as heavy as it looks. The bottom can get a little soggy, but it adds to the overall enjoyable bite. The iron margarita is uniquely tasty, with a flavor that includes amaretto, making it a distinctive beverage. Eli's cheesecake remains a popular dessert to enjoy after the meal. Overall, Gino's East - South Loop is a fantastic place to enjoy the iconic Chicago deep dish pizza.
