“I’ve found one of the best ALL YOU CAN EAT HOTPOT experiences here in Chicagos south loop and it’s at Wagyu House! Everything is superior quality - the meats, the service and the ambiance. Their A5 Wagyu beef is FLOWN IN DAILY from Japan and Australia!!! Their AYCE option includes options like wagyu, crab legs, sushi, ramen, lobster and more; it’s unbelievably good! The shrimp balls were so good - Deep fried with a tasty sauce and I loved putting my crab legs in the broth and eating them warm; they honestly tasted great just chilled! This beautiful restaurant is great for a date night or girls night out and they even have happy hour and I love the little cute robot servers they have rolling around! The interior is very modern and even though there can be A LOT of people around, the noise doesn’t get overwhelming. Dont just take my word for it- go experience this amazing restaurant yourself!“

“One of my favorite hotpot places! As any great hotpot restaurant would, they have a sauce bar with an abundance of options and the sides (like the spicy pig feet) and dessert (coconut sago) is a huge plus! The atmosphere is super fun as well. No wonder they’re such a popular chain in china and one of the biggest names in hotpot there!!!“

“Authentic. Chinese. Street. Food!!! Here you can indulge in the flavors of food from ChenDu, which is the capital of Sichuan, in China! The spices and flavors in the dishes are so tasty. Here’s what I tried: Tempting Bon Bon Chicken Fiery Spicy Fries Delights Hot & Sour Fern Root Noodles Wholesome Wonton Chicken Soup Single Choice Hot Pot w/imitation crab meat Three Cannons ChengDu Osmanthus Cake Mango Soda Drink 芒果少女心 The Bon Bon Chicken was my favorite! It was so many flavors at once with the chili oil, soy sauce, slight sweetness and sesame oil. The Wonton chicken soup is so warm and comforting and the dumplings are made in house. I love how airy and modern the space is; there is room for big groups - which I really like. Put them on your list to visit and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!“

“My daughter drives to the city, specifically for this restaurant. She goes here all the time, raves about it, and decided to bring the whole family to check it out.The rotary style serving is incredible, there are constantly things passing by you which you can take off the belt and keep to put in your broth. The soup is a build your own, as well as the sauce station. So many sauces like soy, ponzu, hoisin, sesame oil, chili oil, green onions, fresh cilantro, garlic, which you can create to make your very own.The price of the all you can eat changes based on the chosen proteins. We chose to stick with just beef, but you can also get the option with shrimp and beef or chicken and pork. The beef was very thinly cut and placed beautifully on the tray, which was delivered via train. The staff was extremely helpful and quick to attend to us, which I’ve heard is consistent at their locations. The rotary delivery of foods gives the waiting staff so much more time to focus on other things, like drinks. They do have a bar with several drink options. We chose to keep it simple and ordered a couple of Jinro drinks. The grapefruit was very refreshing, not too strong at all.At the end, we ordered mochis and the mango cake. I’ve had mochis before, but am far from an expert. Never was a huge fan, but theirs was sooo good! Try the strawberry. There are tons of vegetarian options also, although I’m not sure if the lack of meat would be less expensive…They are adding another location in the burbs, Aurora specifically, so perhaps this is a place I can visit more frequently.Such an interactive experience with fresh ingredients and super friendly staff. Will definitely return.“

“Very good alternative to expensive hot pot places, everything is very reasonably priced. $12.99/lb as of March 2024 and you can customize your meal whether you want to load up on beef, eat a lot of veggies, or have a lot of noodles. Sauce bar also has all you need. Definitely a great alternative to Haidilao, Liuyishou, etc. Had the spicy soup and the Tom yum and both were excellent.“

“New spot in the neighborhood! Restaurant’s decor is simple yet very roomy, an ideal spot for those who dislike to be enclosed or squished. It’s family owned restaurant so the atmosphere was very comfortably and quiet.Food was phenomenal, fresh and delicious! But most importantly reasonable priced. The service was friendly and fast. We had Pho and broth was rich and aromatic filled with lots of toppings. We also had Bo La Lot which was beautifully presented. Then we also had Bun Cha Ha Noi, amazing and authentic. Bun bo hue was delicious. I can say that all dishes taste great. It’s must try restaurant!“

“I recently visited Friendly Station State in Chicago and had a wonderful experience. This cozy small hotpot place offers a unique dining experience with all veggie items running on a conveyor belt, making it easy to grab the food you want. For meat eaters, there are three delicious options to choose from. It was a fun and interactive experience cooking with my family and enjoying the meal together. Don't miss out on trying the moochie - it's definitely a must-try dish! Overall, I highly recommend Friendly Station State for a memorable dining experience.“

“With the price you pay at $26.88 per person including soup base, we thought it was a really good deal given the quality of food. Sure, there are not like 100 things you can order but they have what we wanted. The sauce station is actually better than that of Happy Lamb, so is the flavoring of the food and soup base. We'll def come back.“
