“It was amazing we took our son there after he graduated from the Navy in Chicago and there was a lot to chose from on the menu the waiter was amazing our family and kids were happy with there food and we left full we didn’t have dessert there was no room the restaurant was clean and very good I recommend for families to come here if you are in china area this is a family owed place which was nice. ?“

“I'm a big fan of Mixteco on Belmont, and eat here at least once a week when I'm in Lakeview either perusing Brown Elephant nearby or shopping at Target. The food is consistently very delicious and fresh, and the portions are big enough to take some home. My favorite is the fajitas meal - pictured here is the carne asada fajita option which always makes me do my happy tastebud dance. It's one of my favorite casual spots to sit and dine solo - it's peaceful with a lovely ambiance and friendly staff.“

“I hosted a small work group of 8ppl on Cinco de Mayo at 6p. Let's just say that the place was in full motion by then. We arrived, were seated right at our reservation time and were greeted shortly after by our server, Chelsea! Considering all of the Cinco mayhem happening, Chelsea was not only attentive, but she was generous in making some last minute adjustments to our order (we got a little menu happy lol). She also took the time to walk some of us through cocktails that were new to us, as we wanted to try many and she placed every cocktail in front of the person that ordered. For a group this size, I dont see that often. In addition to our wonderful server, a huge shout out to their food runners and back servers. We were never without water at our table and anything that was empty (water container, plates, drinks) they did not stay on that table very long. Always impressed by this level of service in a casual restaurant, on such a high volume day! Sure its loud, but I totally expected that lol I will be back!“
